  1. Good luck with the liquids. I don't know if I could go back to that. Let me know how it goes!
  2. The thing is that I haven't eaten one thing I'm not supposed to. I have followed the diet to the T.
  3. Thanks! The scary thing is that on every diet I have done I have always plateaued at 35 lbs lost and never been able to go further. I'm afraid that's what is going to happen.
  4. I'm in same boat. I am not losing like I hoped I would. I'm doing everything I'm supposed to. It's frustrating
  5. I'm really starting to worry about my progress. I was 6 weeks post op yesterday. I've only lost 8 lbs in the past 4 weeks. I've lost 17 lbs since surgery and 18 in 2 week pre op for a total of 35 lbs. I just feel like things are at a stand still. I am doing everything I'm supposed to do. I get 80 gram of protein a day. I walk about a mile almost every day. I take in about 650-800 calories per day. I just returned to work yesterday and everyone was amazed at how I looked. That felt good. I guess I just assumed it would come off a little faster.
  6. I'm 5 1/2 weeks out and have lost a total of 35 lbs. I lost 18 of it during 2 week pre op diet.
  7. I don't see why you can't have it. I took out chicken gumbo for dinner tonight. I will eat the broth and done chicken. I'll avoid the sausage.
  8. My fitness pal. Works great for me.
  9. This sounds like gas pain to me. You should call your dr tomorrow to be sure.
  10. It's so interesting to me how all these surgeons are so different!
  11. It's not approved on my list.
  12. My steri stripes weren't removed until 2 weeks post op. After that I scrubbed every night. Took forever to get off!
  13. You definitely need to add something in the afternoon. That's too long to go without eating. Good luck.
  14. lol sorry!! Ok I'm glad this sounds ok. I track everything in my fitness also. I'm just so worried that this isn't going to work. I think because I'm around the loss of where I've always stalled on previous diets. I've never been able to loss more than 35 lbs and I'm right there.
  15. I'm 5 weeks out today and I'm on regular food with some restrictions. I'm supposed to get 80 G Protein and 64 oz Water. I get the protein in with no problem. I eat only off the list my NUT gave me. I'm going to post a typical day and please tell me if this looks right. I've lost 33 lbs so far but 18 of it was on pre op. Just thought it would be coming off faster. Here goes: Breakfast- GNC lean 25 shake Snack- hard boiled egg Lunch- 1.5 oz ground meat made into a meatball with a tbsp low sugar marinara Snack- 2 tablespoons hummus and a piece of low fat cheese (laughing cow) Dinner- 2 oz ground meat with taco seasoning and a sprinkle of fat free cheese Snack- high protein sugar free pudding or another piece of cheese Does this look right? I usually get between 600-800 calories. Usually right around 700. My NUT said 800-1000 but I've only gotten close to 800 once. Oh I walk for about 30 min a day. Thanks!!!!
  16. This has been hard for me too. I'm getting used to it though. Still odd for me.
  17. Almond milk comes unsweetened. That's what I use.
  18. I've definitely been colder since having the surgery! I'm 5 weeks out.
  19. It was coming off so fast for pre op and the first week after. I knew it would slow down some but I didn't think it would be this slow!
  20. Glad to hear! I was very nauseous for the first 3 days as well. Haven't had a problem since. Good luck!
  21. Thanks! I wondered this as well!!! I go back on Tuesday. I'm nervous!
  22. Great job! How are you feeling?
  23. Checking in at 253. GW by Thanksgiving is 235. Doubt I'll make it. It's coming off a lot slower than I expected.
