  1. We waited almost 2 weeks. No issues. We have sex often and always have. I think I feel more confident now so it's been better.
  2. The only thing I can say is hang in there. It's gets better. I'm 5 weeks post op tomorrow and feel much better. It takes awhile!
  3. I used low fat both and put a little salsa on top. However, that is the one thing I have trouble with. Haven't tried it in weeks though
  4. I lost 18 lbs on my 2 week pre op and "only" 8 lbs in the first week after surgery. I didn't lose a lb for like 2 weeks after that. I'm 5 weeks tomorrow and I'm down almost 35 lbs total. I'm not complaining! I'm definitely losing more inches than pounds. I'm down 2 sizes. Hang in there. They pump you with a lot of fluids and your body is adjusting to major surgery and changes.
  5. I love protein pudding. I'm on real foods and I still have some in the evening as my "treat."
  6. That's great! I'm very nervous about how I'm going to handle the 12 hours when I go back at 6 weeks. It's going to be rough!
  7. I can't swallow pills for 3 months. All my vitamins are chewable or sublingual. Any capsules I open up and eat with a spoon of yogurt. Anything else would have to be crushed.
  8. I am pleased. I had gotten very discouraged last week. I didn't lose anything for 10 days. However my clothes were super baggy and falling off. I snapped out of it when I was able to buy jeans 2 sizes smaller! This is a process and it's not going to happen at once. I'm trying to not focus on the scale. Thank you!
  9. I am 4 weeks post op today and down 31 lbs. It's been a long 2 weeks since I hit a stall. The scale has finally started moving again. Dr said I'm doing great. They advanced my diet. I can now eat real food. No lettuce, raw veggies, nuts, Protein bars until 3 months. My dr also suggests no grains or rice or Pasta until goal weight. I'm excited about lean meats and veggies!
  10. Hi. I'm an ER RN and work busy 12 hour shifts. I'm not going back to work until I'm 6 weeks post op. Dr's orders! There's no way I could make it right now with the way I work. I have 2 more weeks before I return. I was sleeved 9/30.

  12. I've heard this too but never wanted to believe it. I've been with my husband for 17 years and I can't imagine us divorcing over this. When I first decided to have the surgery, my husband came home and said a friend of his told him that everyone he knows that had the surgery left their husband after. I was shocked!
  13. I had the eating dreams frequently when I was on pre op liquids. After surgery I've just had a few bad dreams but never about food. Odd!
  14. I'm on purée and can have scrambled eggs. It was actually the first food I tried. I can eat about 3/4 of an egg with some fat free cheddar scrambled with it.
  15. I'll be 4 weeks out on Tuesday and this is what I usually have.: Breakfast: 1 egg with cheese or yogurt and usually a Protein shake about 9 Snack: laughing cow cheese or 2 tablespoons hummus Lunch: either tuna with egg and lt mayo or soup or some kind of Beans Snack: cheese or another protein shake Dinner: beans or soup I'm on purée stage till Monday so this will change when I start eating regular food.
  16. For this stage my dr wants me on 3-4 small "meals" and 2 protein shakes a day. I have no problem getting my protein in with that.
  17. I was 3 weeks post op yesterday. I get around 600-700 calories a day and about 80 G protein.
  18. I was miserable for the first week! I had lots of regrets. Week 2 was much better! Hang in there.
  19. I'm 3 weeks post op and always cold too! Wasn't like this before.
  20. I've also been on a major stall. The scale seems to be moving again for me too but just a little! CW 258 thanksgiving goal 235
