  1. I'm in puréed food now. I can eat cheese, Greek yogurt, sf pudding, beans, any meat or veggie puréed.
  2. Recipe on bariatriceating.com. She has a bunch of soups on there. Doing black bean one for supper. Check it out!
  3. I was in the same boat as you. Had to do liquids 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after. I almost lost my mind. I regretted surgery. I was depressed and couldn't stand liquids. I made it through and this past Tuesday I was able to start puréed and cheese and eggs. It's been great! Take it slow and eat slowly. You'll get there soon!
  4. Thanks for all the great suggestions. Going to try the ricotta soon cause it sounds really good! I tried the refried Beans last night with salsa and cheese and I had a hard time with it. Think I may have ate too fast but I felt bad after only a few bites. Today I made homemade tomato basil Soup and I mixed a couple tablespoons of plain Greek yogurt with unflavored Protein powder. Put it in my cup of soup. It was delicious!
  5. What are your favorite things to eat during this stage?
  6. Morning. I was wondering do you all include the liquid amount in protein shakes in your daily water/liquids requirement? It takes me over an hour to drink a protein shake and I'm finding it hard to fit in 64 oz of liquid when I can't drink 30 minutes before or after a "meal.
  7. It does look like a localized reaction from the picture. Just watch it like she said.
  8. I don't like that big reddened area around it. If it's warm, call your dr.
  9. I had severe pain for the first week. After that it was just soreness. I just dealt with it as pain meds make me sick so I don't take them. Every day has gotten better with the pain.
  10. I've had some diarrhea also the first week or so. It's gotten better though but some days I was having multiple episodes a day. I think it's just our systems trying to adjust to all this.
  11. I'm 2 weeks post op and just got the clearance to try eggs. I scrambled 1 egg with some cheddar cheese and it came out real moist. I've gotten it down with no problem so far. Try the cheese. That seems to help. Or a little teaspoon of salsa to make it moist.
  12. I am 2 weeks post op today and just went to my appointment with the surgeon. They said I am doing great and everything looks good! I am down 27 lbs total. They said they expect you to have lost 30% of your excess weight by 3 months post op and I am already at 19%. I'm advancing my diet now. Couldn't be happier right now!
  13. I can't have protein bars until 3 months post op but when I can it has to be 4g of sugar or less.
  14. I'm an ER nurse so I will be out at least 4 weeks. There is no light duty in my job!
  15. I would like to join. Great idea! Sleeve done on 9/30/14 SW- 267 lbs CW- 259 lbs Thanksgiving GW- 235 lbs
  16. I'm 12 days post op. Lost 8 lbs the first few days after surgery and then nothing since. Then yesterday I actually gained 2 lbs. I don't understand! I think my body is in shock. I decided to stop weighing myself. I'm on only liquids. My clothes are loose as I lost 18 lbs the two weeks pre op. I go to the dr on Tuesday so I guess I will see then but I am very frustrated right now.
  17. I would hold off. I'm 11 days post op and I'm weighing myself every morning and getting extremely upset and frustrated. My weight is fluctuating a lot. I'm avoiding the scale. I go back to the doctor on Tuesday and I'm sure I will get weighed then. The scale has really put a damper on my spirits so I would avoid making the same mistake.
  18. It's funny you post this cause I'm having acne all of a sudden. Haven't had a break out in awhile. I'm 10 days post op and it started a few days ago. I got my period 2 days post op which absolutely sucked!!!!
  19. I like the GNC Lean 25 Chocolate Peanut Butter best right now.
  20. Thank you Jamie. That sounds like what's happening with me. I just got off the phone with my dietician. She said that it sounds like I am doing great. She said that 8 lbs the first week after surgery is a lot. I feel better now. I asked about adding to my diet but she said not until the 14 day mark so 4 more days!
  21. That's what I was thinking too. I'm still on liquids so not sure what more I can add yet. I can add some stuff on Tuesday though. Thanks!
  22. Hi. I am new here. I've been reading for weeks but this is my first post. I had my sleeve on 9/30. Today is day 10 post op. I lost 8 lbs last week right away. The last several days I have not lost anything. I'm on full liquids. I'm getting about 60 g Protein a day on average and maybe about 400 calories. I don't know if my body is in starvation mode or if this is normal. I lost 18 lbs during pre op so I'm a total of 26 lbs down. I know that is good but I don't know why the scale has stopped moving. I'm thinking maybe I need to stop weighing myself!
