Dying for some gumbo

It has turned cold and rainy out. I am 8 weeks. I have the worst craving for a hot cup of gumbo!

Well, at exactly 8 weeks after my sleeve, I attended the World Championship Gumbo Cookoff in New Iberia. I ate Gumbo. And I'm here talking about it alive and well. (And ........don't tell anybody but I may have had a bite or two of CRACKLINS!). Came home from 3 day food festival 3 pounds lighter. Go figure.:-)

3 pounds LIGHTER. Darn thing cut me off.

I had a very small bowl of seafood gumbo tonight! Mainly it was the broth but it tasted great! I am 2 weeks out as of yesterday and go for my first Dr appt tomorrow!!
