    Thanks Veronica.
I was reading your earlier posts about hating to go to the gym with super fit folk, and could totally relate. I dreaded it at first, and still it's not my favorite, but look at what you just did for self improvement. You just let a surgeon cut you open and subject you to loads of pain and trauma. That's 100 times worse than prying eyes of some random ripped gym rats. You owe it to yourself to just be proud of your accomplishments and not be weighted down by the expectations of others. And the truth of the matter is that most of those workoutaholics wouldn't even look down on you, if they ever stop looking at themselves in the mirror, they would be inspired that people of our weight caliber would be working diligently on becoming fit. Don't let the opinions of others shackle you to past shames. You are on your way to a more beautiful you, you might as well reward yourself by getting out of the cold.

So it's been about 4 weeks since my sleeve. I've lost 27lbs pre surgery and 27lbs post surgery for a grand total of 54lbs lost. I've really been a best case scenario. I'm feeling great, not having any difficulty with any drinking or eating and have been enjoying my new active lifestyle. Early on I was losing really fast, now I'm down to 3 lbs in the past week, so things are looking like they are getting harder, but I'm perfectly happy with 3 lbs ad long as it's lost. I usually do exercise twice a day, once is a long walk and the other is gym, cycling of another long walk. I'm eating all foods, even dry ones, but I'm making certain that anything I eat is low fat, low sugar and low calorie. All in all, I'm eating about 650-750cal a day.
I love myfitnesspal, it's been such a helpful tool. I've become friends on myfitnesspal with a couple other sleevers through this forum and it's nice to keep tabs on each other. Keeps us working towards our goals.
My waist over the past 3 months (pre and post op) has gone down from a men's 50 inch pants to a 42 inch pants. My shirts were looking like blankets so I went out and bought a few new ones. I don't want to buy too much since I'll only be fitting it for a short time. But it feels so great, my shirts have gone from 4x to 2x.
Great hearing all of your updates. Good luck and I really hope that any of you that are having difficulties find that a bit more time fixes those issues.

I've lost 40 lbs total since start of pre op. 15 on the pre-op diet then another 25 since surgery on 1/7. I have trouble getting in all my Protein & fluids. Its not a physical thing, I've done amazingly well since surgery. I do have a pretty tiny sleeve as evidenced by how little actual food I can eat, my problem is I'm literally too busy to stay on top of it all throughout the day. I'm in my final semester of RN school & I work too so I find myself staying so busy I forget to sip my fluids. Also I have no time for exercise, not even walking. I get up, get kids to school, go to class, go to work, fix dinner, bathe youngest & help her with her homework, put her to bed then do my own homework til midnight or later then get up at 6 & start all over again. I know these are the reasons for the stalls I've had but its unavoidable for now. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it soon. I have no regrets though. Still the best thing I've ever done for myself.

I feel like the last three days I can eat quite a bit and that is kinda scary not like a full meal or anything but def more then what I was thinking I should. i'm going to take a step back and try to just to liquids since I'm just on solids for the first time the past two days. Maybe that is my problem too I'm in taking to much even though I have not even reached 600 in my caloric intake. I don't know plus i was only walking 2 miles a day I think i will go to 5. If I don't see a pound drop soon I'm going to pull my hair out!

I'm also on a stall, I have lost 18 pounds but gained 2 more out of nowhere. I'm a little disappointed but I know that the scale will go down eventually. Patience, patience, patience!

Our starting stats are almost identical. I was sleeved 1/7/15. My SW was 263, day of surgery was 248, CW is 225. That 225 just happened this morning after being stalled out at 227 for about 4 days. The stalls are aggravating but I've read a lot of people on here say they happen to just about everyone. Hang in there, at least we're on the losers bench!

Yes! I drink a cup of regular coffee every morning. It's been fine. I do drink mine with Creamer, though, and I use a coffee/chicory mixture that's less acidic, so I'm sure that helps. But it's been fine...and not to be all TMI'y but it also really helps with that Constipation issue.

that's my first "stats" post lol. I'm doing pretty well. I'm not getting my full 64 oz of Fluid in but I get so close. I don't think I'm getting all of my Protein in either but during this 1st week my Dr wanted me to focus more on fluids so starting tomorrow I'm going to really focus on trying to get as much of both as I can. Today was an odd day for "eating" for me. Things would sound good until I tried them then I didn't want them. I'm still on shakes & Soups mostly but have tried some pureed things & so far there's no physical problems with them, I just really don't want to eat I think. I'm in very little pain, more like soreness & discomfort lol. Its all very tolerable though. I just took some adult liquid Tylenol & mainly took it so that I will sleep good tonight. I'm also having a cup of sleepy time herbal tea so hopefully I'll relax good tonight.

Please do not use price to make your decision. Find a surgeon who you feel comfortable with and if they are on the higher end, save up. Ariel Ortiz (as opposed to Elias) is fantastic - slightly more than some of the bargain surgeons but worth every penny. I can't say what I paid but call Obesity Control Center, you will have no problem getting a quote with no pressure. Just please don't use price as a deciding factor.
