  1. i usually order soup and a appy.
  2. I would get your $17,000 back and buy shares at the burger joint.
  3. Try fish or chicken with some mano curry sauce. Its about 40 cal a teaspoon, and tasts great. are you excercising? this will help as well with the hunger. good luck. p.s. I think about food all the time, but make choices, that what it will come down to.
  4. 1. down 40 pounds, 2. people say, you look great, 3. able to work out and walk, and enjoy my food better. and I have to list #4 when you pants fall off, and you have to buy new!
  5. are you doing any different after surgery, such as exercise? or keeping track of what you eat. you are still in the healing stage, and you have done really well. an average of 4.5 pounds per week, you should be proud of your self.
  6. just asking, why would you get an un-fill after so much hard work, just to eat more and possibly gain?
  7. you are doing great. get rid of the scale, muscle weights more than fat. you body is getting used to the band. I am trying to walk by the scale and pretend its not there. I am at a stall on the scale, but cloths are fitting better, (my pants fell off at work going down the stairs) I was embarred but happy. good luck
  8. I started walking 4ks daily a week after surgery. stiches poped so took a week off, and 11 post op weight train 2 times per week, and swim daily, and walk 4kms 3 times week. it really helps and now I am avoiding the scales as muscels weigh more than fat. good luck
  9. you were banded in feb. you did not gain the weight all at once. take your time, and enjoy the ride, and what a ride it is. if you want it to go faster exercise. getting a too tight fill is not good, as you wont' be able to hold water.
  10. you had your sugery thurs? you should be on clear liquids, teas, jello. after about 10 days mushies. your surgery should have told you. your stomach needs to heal. good luck
  11. you are doing great. remember muscle weights more than fat, and your muscles retain water after working out. I would weigh 1 time per week (I'm one to talk I weighed 2 days before thurs weigh in), some times the scale will not move for 1-2 weeks and then it moves a few pounds. good luck
  12. I was at work yesterday, carrying samples down the stairs, when my pants fell off!, they were tight before surgery. I was so happy to give them away. I have boxes of cloths, from the last couple of years, and don't need to buy any. On the plane last week, my seat belt was 6" longer than before. another 1/4" and I would have had to get an extention before. only thing boobs are 6" smaller around now, but I'm so happy! working out is the greatest.
  13. good for your. I so happy for you, you are doing great.
  14. I thought I would check out the posts of people that were banded the same time as me. I will not be returning to this one as your posts are really scary. count your food, and get off your butt we all have the urge to eat, not just you, we all got to be obese by stuffing our mouths. I am very sick to read your posts. does it make you feel better to have other loosers rate as you do. I hope you are self pay, and not under insurance.
  15. it is not luck to loose the 20-30 pounds in 3 months, trust me its hard work.
  16. i was banded feb 29th, 08 and have lost approx 39 pounds, 1 fill last month, with a 4cc band. exercise daily, and work out.
  17. try the campbels bean Soup, in the tetra pack. its about 2 cups worth, try 1 cup 80 cal, and it will fill you up. also try to get some exercise and track your food. this has helped me get through the first 9 weeks. good luck
  18. bring a pillow, theres are any good. also bring cloths that are easy to remove. you will want to walk to get ride of the gas after surgery. face cloths as well, unless you are with dr kuri , he gives a gift bag, with toothpaste, brush, cloth, soap. good luck
  19. Pickup and move forward, don't look back but ahead. you will get used to working around the head hunger. you know you did wrong and that is one part of solving the problem. good luck
  20. I hope your feeling better, don't worry about the excersie and weight loss, you will feel better, and it will come off.
  21. If people don't loose they say "the band is not stoping me from junk food". again the band is a tool. check the excersie link, most of these people my self including excercise daily, and work out a couple time a week. I'm most on that link as I find this link too full of poor me. Its my Meds, (my meds make me crave suger, I eat the diet jellow 40C or puddingc) and chart what you eat, there are programs. most people don't realize how much they are really eating, chart daily, excercise daily and you will loose 1-3 pounds per week. good luck
  22. I had a fill 3 weeks ago, and didn't feel a thing. it does not hurt (for me) and I'm a baby.
  23. at easter I was able to eat about 1 1/2 cups of food. turkey, cut and chewed, and small of everthing else. I normally would eat 2 plates of food at dinner, but now I eat only 1 1/2 cups, but after cutting and chewing I finished the same time as everyone else. Yes you will be able to eat family dinners again. my family eats together daily dinner at 5:30, and other than the girls fighting sometimes, things are great.
  24. try eating more about 100-150 more calories per day. eating 800 is not a lot, and your body will go into starvation mode.
