What level are all the Nov 07 bandsters at?
I had my surgery on 11-08-07 and have lost 106 lbs. pre and post op. I am lower than Dr.s goal but would like to lose a little more. Having a problem with stress eating since DH got layed off. That demon will be with me always, I guess. My health is much improved and type 2 diabetes is gone. A little shocked at all the saggy skin but it is better than 106 lbs of fat !!! Best thing I ever did, just wish it was around 30 yrs. ago. I guess at 60 I can't expect to look like I am 20. Best of luck to all of my fellow Nov. bandsters and keep up the good work and hang in there!!!!

"Dying on the table"
Hi kini, You have talked to many of us online and you know we are worried about dying but we will die from our weight if we don't do it. You are young and so lucky to be able to do this now. I wish I hadn't had to do this at 59. I would have given anything to have it done at your age. You know we all will be there for you and I will come over and take care of you if you need me!!! Or take you to the hosp.and stay with you! If you go with Dr. S. you will have the best surgeon in Denver. Please don't worry and know all your chat friends will support you all the way!!!! Love, zippykat

I'm in Aurora, Colorado
My name is Kathy and I would love to try to help you any way I can. I have been banded almost 7 mos and have lost 89 lbs pre and post op. I am having trouble getting my last 10-20 lbs to go away! I live near Tower and Illif. My email is katincol@hotmail.com. Write me any time you feel like it. I am 59 so we are close in age and it can be done! Sounds like you have a great family. I look forward to meeting you one day. I have met 2 women from Denver and they both are very nice! Who is your Dr.? I went to Michael Snyder at Rose medical center. Good luck on your surgery and email me! Kathy

Banders and Irritable Bowel Syndrome
I have had my band for 6 mos. and am having my first flare of IBS since surgery. I am having severe gas and bloating and pain in my large intestine. Also alternating with constipation and diarreha. I have tried all my old remedies and nothing has been working. Do any other banders have this problem and have any help for me. Any suggestions welcome!! Thanks, zippykat

Share your NSVs!
I have a cute NSV to share. My just turned 6 yr. old granddaughter said to me today" Grandma you look taller. Now you are straight up and down like me." Made me feel good because she is a little skinny thing. She is the first grandkid to notice and she is the youngest. Made me feel good because I have been plateaued for 4 weeks.

Help Finding a Dr in Denver
I went to Dr. Snyder for a variety of reasons. My son worked for him and says he is the best and most experienced Dr. in Denver. I was self pay and he is more expensive but When I was in for a fill I heard his nurse say Dr. Kirshenbaum was sending Dr. Snyder a patient and that reinforced my decision. Dr. Snyder has many classes, support groups, online chats, cooking classes, exercise classes and many support systems. His staff is great at fills and they don't hurt at all. I have been extremely happy with my banding experience with Dr. Snyder. My son is a Surgical Assistant and has worked with most bariatric doctors in Denver and swears Dr. Snyder is the best. I hope you enjoy his seminar. They are great! Let us know who you decide on and good luck. Kathy

Miscarriage
Dear Magdalene, I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how it feels. You did get pregnant which is a good sign because many overweight women stop having periods. With the grace of God it will happen again. I can't believe you could lose all that weight and not get the wonderful reward of a child. My thoughts and prayers are with you. God bless! Love, Kathy

Share your NSV's!!!!!!!!!!
I had a wonderful NSV today. Went to Walmart and happened to pass swimsuits and looked and saw some with longer skirts that will cover tummy hangover. I knew an18 would fit so I took a 16 knowing by summer I could wear it. Got home, tried it on and it's only a little tight, I could wear it now. When I took it off I realized it was a 12-14 missy. I almost fainted. That was happy NSV for me!!!!!!
