Great shots !! Everytime I see those beautiful bikes I can't help but think of the Orange County Chopper guys that work pretty close to me. I used to their show on Discovery all the time. I would post some pictures but I'm sure you'd all get sick of looking at my DD (who will be 4 next month) because she's all I take pictures of LOLOL. THANKS FOR SHARING !!! (now I'm thinking..........mmmmmmm I gotta have some pictures I can share lolol snort).
  6. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Is it true that some doctors want you to do a 2 week before surgery liquid diet and some don't? Why be on a liquid diet 2 weeks b/4 the surgery date? is this to shrink the stomach (some what)? Thanks !!
  7. He does look like he's gotta pee LOL Getting nervous :nervous ummmmmmmmm yeah. Just this morning I called my insurance to double check on the coverage, then I double checked on the doctor, THEN I made the appointment to go to the seminar required by the doctor. My stomach is in knots, my nerves are shot and I feel like I could swallow a herd of cows. This will pass by tomorrow I'm sure but EEEEEEEEEEGADS !!!!!!!! Good thing I'm working alone today and I can just day dream lol thanks everyone
  8. Oooooh la la. Maybe he won't ask, but if you must, tell him you had your gallbladder taken out (as a mother hen, I have to say, don't forget to use protection LOLOL !!!!!)
  9. Congratulations !!!!
  10. I bet once you start eating food (mushies) it will go away. I remember getting Ketosis breath when I was on atkins diet. The only thing they said that would help was time and chewing on celery sticks.. OY~
  11. Any physical activity after surgery can cause scar tissue, which can be VERY painful later down the road...... be careful and call your doctor (listen to him/her too).
  12. I'm sorry I can't answer most questions but I do know this from having surgeries in the past: Did you have get shaved before surgery? Only if there is hair in the way. Did they let you leave your underwear and socks on? They let me keep hospital booties on my feet but nothing else, no undies for sure. I'm sure everything will go fine. Try to concentrate on other things in the mean while (I know its hard). HUGS !!!! Oh, the two surgeries I've had were c-section and a horrible appendectomy where they cut me from hip to hip.
  13. Hang in there

  15. I went through a relationship with a guy who would pull all the crap he could and then when I would break up with him he would turn on the waterworks (cry lol) and like a fool I would take him back. DON'T FALL FOR IT!!! They don't change, trust me. If it looks like a snake, slithers like a snake, then guess what? it IS a snake. I just THANK GOD!! the last and final time I dumped him I had the strength not to fall for it again. You will too. You will survive (OMG, I sound like Gloria Gaynor) and better things are to come, you'll see. Good things are worth waiting for Mega prayers little lady, you can do it!!!!

  19. Thank you Parvathi, Forgive me.... so does that means that they are not stretching the pouch, they are just eating the wrong foods and to much? I just want to understand.
  20. You know what bothers me about the surgery. Its not the needles, its not the surgical procedure itself...... Its the embarassment of them seeing me stark naykiiiiiiid with my flubber ooozing off each side of the table. Yeah I know I know, they've seen it before and that is the truth..... but this is mine and they haven't seen it yet LOL ROFL !!! (I know its silly but the feelings are real)
  21. Ruthie, I give you so much credit and I wish I could be more like you. I would have turned around and said a few choice JOISEY 4 letter words. I've been heavy my entire life. In my early 20's I weighed over 300 pounds. I lost 150 lbs and kept it off for 10+ years (mostly by starvation), anywhoo... I have several brothers and sisters, the sister closest to me was over 400 lbs. When we would go out (me being at a healthy weight at that time) I would watch people stare at her, I mean even turn around and give her looks. Can I just say how much this broke my heart. I would watch them, stop dead in my tracks and say "what the *f* you looking at." My poor sister would just die inside but I just couldn't let people do that to her. I was proud of that beautiful woman, no matter what her weight. I am NOW very proud to say that she is dieting and is down to about 280 lbs She is struggling but she keeps trying. She is very much in support of me and lapband (I won't even tell my mother b/c she just wouldn't understand). When I was 18 I worked in a nursing home, the kitchen of all places. One woman who I was serving lunch to looked me up and down and said "WOW YOU ARE FAT" The first thing that came to my mind was No *S* Shirlock. I didn't say anything back b/c I was taken off guard, I was a kid. But deep down inside, that nasty remark really cut me to the bone. Some people will never get it Hugs !!!!
  22. I see alot of posts where people are saying they can / do over eat. How does one over eat with the band on? Is the hole not small enough in the begining? All I can think of is the stomach/pouch is so much smaller now so how can you over eat and not be in pain (does it hurt?). Thanks so much
  23. You Go Girl !!
  24. You know thats really great to hear. THANKS !!
