Once you start losing weight you will become more confident in showing your body, don't worry. I'm 26 and I've been self conscious bout my body for as long as I can remember, even in front of my husband. But once the weight started coming off I didn't mind my body been seen anymore. Especially if your bf likes what he's sees and you feel confident ans sexyyy, he will eat you up girl! I'll be honest tho it took me getting to a size 12/14 to be in nothing but panties. It just depends on you ya know?
As far as the excess skin, yes you're young and you have good elasticity BUT you need to work out to tone and tighten. Then you'll really feel like gettin. naked! Lol. I've lost 81lbs without exercising and I'm paying for it now that I've started working out, it makes me worry about my "squishy" skin and have to work twice as hard to tone. but it's my fault and I'm still workin on it.
Don't worry so much @@emery_perkins you have your whole life ahead of you and you will be great! The only regret I have is I didn't do it sooner.

I feel completely the same. And my butt bones hurt after sitting a while.
I miss the Club Lulu from Jimmy John's on wheat once or twice a week too. :'(

Hello there! My surgery is scheduled for October 15th as well! I have to fly to San Diego and I'm more scared to fly that to have the surgery! We can be buddies if you like!

I had my surgery on Oct 15th, and I had diarrhea for about the first 5 weeks (same with my mom). Make sure you're taking a daily probiotic, it really helps believe it or not.. I notice when I don't take it because I'll either have diarrhea or I won't go at all, there's really no in between for me. Good luck though!

Some fatigue for the first month or so is normal. Not much to do but listen to your body and give it the rest it needs to heal. I found for the first few weeks I needed a mid day nap. Surprisingly once I started back at the gym I felt better.
Are you on any supplements and Vitamins? As much as I hate taking them, I think they helped.

@@ELI.p.m I know it can be difficult to make any sort of lifestyle change. I for one will not talk down to you or shun you. We were/are all food addicts and that's what got us in this position in the first place. Each of us will have big and small battles with food as we continue on this journey.
However, I think on a daily basis you have to remind yourself of why you went through all the trouble in the first place. To be healthier, to look better, and to feel better. None of those will be accomplished if you don't put forth a good faith effort.
I'm not saying you can never have junk again, anything you can tolerate is okay occasionally. But, you should really focus on finding healthy foods that taste good and provide you with the nutrients you need to be holistically successful on this journey.
    Best of luck to you!

Stick around long enough, or search deep enough, and you'll find plenty of stories of people eating hamburgers at two days post op, chewing and spitting, or eating around their sleeves. I think one of the reasons you see more posts of model patients is because we are the ones who are determined to make the changes required, accept the limitations, and do the hard work needed, and because of our commitment, so we come here for support. People who can't or won't do that most likely are not going to keep coming to a community of people who are.
As for your list, it's a good one. Many of the items on it probably true for most of us. I am sorry that you are hungry and craving food. Have you been able to determine the difference between true hunger and just wanting food? It's hard to tell, especially at first. I spent my whole life not really knowing the difference, but since the sleeve, I've learned there is a subtle difference. I always find myself hungry at the end of the work day, and I want to eat everything that's not nailed down when I get home. I really have to fight against that. It's from years of habit and a way of dealing with work stress. It's not pleasant at all, and to my brain and body, it feels like hunger, but I resist the urge to feed it. It's when my will power is necessary. If I can find a pleasant distraction, or get a little exercise, I find that hunger actually lifts. It took me a long time after surgery to finally figure out the difference.
I am happy for you that you are happy you had the surgery! I bet you'll be one of the ones coming here, determined to succeed. It's so worth all the work we have to do!

I paid $4200 because I went home after the surgery since I live in San Diego. No need for me to stay in any hotel. I also booked directly with the doctor. I did not use any 3rd party contracts.

I had my surgery around 6:30 and I was back in my room by 8 and up walking around by 8:45. Still feeling gas in my chest at times and I've been burping a lot. My sleeve was the 15th so one week from today.

My sleeve was done on Oct 15th and my incisions are still tender too. Just make sure you wash them with soap (I use the Dial antibacterial body wash already) everyday, dry them good and then doctor them how you were advised. For me I got antiseptic spray and I have to keep the little strips on til they fall off on their own. My drain site I'm supposed to keep covered til it stops oozing so I clean it and cover after my showers. Oh and no actual bath baths for 4 weeks! I know you weren't asking for anything but I just threw my 2 cents in. Hope you feel better soon!

I went thru Ready4Achange.com and Dr. Garcia performed my surgery in Tijuana for $4400. I'm 3 days out and feeling much better than I anticipated, but everyone's pain tolerance is different too. I feel a bit nauseaus here and there but overall pretty good. The nurses were good and attentive and good at bringing you pain and anti-nauseau medication often. Best of luck!

Gas pains are horrible! As sleepy and tired as I was I made myself get up to walk because that was the only thing that helped the gas pain. I was also very nauseous so I spent the whole night gagging cause I wouldn't actually throw up. You just have to keep calm. The next morning at 6am I felt as normal as can be. Still a little bit of gas pain but walking helped. I must add that Dr. Garcia's team came every hour or two and would give me medicine to ease the gas pain.

It went great! They take such great care of you at Florence Hospital during and after. I must say the first night was a total nightmare but the following days were alright. I'm feeling good just miss food so much haha. I would choose Dr. Garcia all over again if I had to. His team was amazing!

I am just looking to fit into all the clothes I still have in my closet that I haven't worn in years. My skinny clothes I call them. I am mostly a size 16, tight though, sometimes 18. I have size 14s and size 12s. Last time I wore all my 12s was about 75 lbs ago. And speaking of which, wouldn't you think that a 75 weight loss would drop me more than just 2-3 sizes?
But I do look forward to just shopping anywhere really and having the stuff I try on actually fit!

I bought some cute jeans at Maurice's. I'm still not certain how to dress myself now. Totally doesn't help I'm a terrible Tom boy. I had a blubbering breakdown in the dressing room when having to ask for a 5/6 and they fit. I had to explain it to the sales lady and I'm sure she thought I was nuts.

Any small, trendy boutique. Always so surprised that I can actually wear things in those places. I do have to get over the feeling that I am "just passing for normal." Yes, I do have the right to shop in cute, trendy boutiques (because I am good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it people like me).

I Hi there. I am one week post op with Dr Garcia. I must say my experience was nothing but pleasant. I'm feeling great and am surprised how good I felt a few hours after.the surgery I was up and walking within hours. The staff at the hospital is very attentive and helpful. I was extremely nervous and felt at ease after I saw how clean and professional Florence Hospital is. I was with two other ladies that were using Dr Garcia as well and from what I saw they were recovering just as well. One the ladies I had with me brought her husband who is a nurse and he commented oh how the attentive the nurses were checking on you every two hours. We all left with a package outlining exactly what our post op journey should look like for the next 6 months. I would highly recommend Dr Garcia. I also appreciated that he does a very limited number of surgeries in one day giving you exactly the type of attention you need. Hope this helps!
