After many years of struggling with an eating disorder and continuous, wide weight fluctuations, I have decided to undergo Sleeve Gastrectomy. I am using Dr. Lopez because of his experience, credentials, and ability to do the Single Incision technique. Since I have a BMI of 30 and good elasticity, I'm expecting my and to look very good after my weight loss.

While I do look forward to looking the way I looked up until my early 30's, the thing I'm most looking forward to is ridding myself of compulsive binging, dieting, and obsessing about food...and with that, the feelings of shame, lack of control, and low esteem that go with all that. I am also looking forward to having more energy, confidence and a ONE size wardrobe, as opposed to 6 sizes! I am preparing myself for the pre and post-op diet, and am just waiting out the four months until it is time to go. I really appreciate this community for information and support. It makes all the difference!
