  1. heres a simple thought so many fat people seem to know so much about being healthy yet cant get healthy themselves, so its do as i say not as I do because i tested 1 person who had diabetes, so therefore i know the truth. When i ask you what studies show artificial sweeteners not taken in tremendous bulk directly injected into lab mice has ever shown a correlation in humans. besides saccharin, and you cannot do it, because there are NONE but you say your surgeon is researching it. which is also amazing that a surgeon would be doing research not related to ther field of surgery. To me, youre lying over and over and what you are lying about is libelous and negligent. Then you want to attack paramedics by saying they know nothing but can give a few meds. Now i know maam you are so full of BS that you must have dark brown eyes. You are irresponsible, fraudulent and repulsive in your ideas. Project ME, you research diabetes, you dont experiment on your son, thats what this lady supposedly ( i dont believe she knows what a research study actually is since she had no control group, no study plan, no baseline of findings, no medical reports. but hey shes a whack job so whatever) see if you told us you feed different foods to your son then stick him right after to se what his blood sugar is, and do this over and over to test medical facts, id say you were an unfit parent but you dont, you monitor your son and looks for ways to make his health better. there's the difference. This idiot lady says that sugar doesn't make your blood sugar go up. um if anyone knows of anyone with diabetes like your son project me, you all know this is the height of BS ive had family members die from diabetes who never were alive to injest a single artificial sweetener. bt hey dont let facts get in the way of irresponsibility. Nothing is worse than an idiot armed with a little false knowledge. Here is the basic facts, when you go against established medical facts its not inventing or any such thing, hurt yourself, you can only blame yourself too bad so sad a darwin award goes your way. but when you promote it as fact to others you are disseminating lies to others in a medical context which as I said legally is libelous and can get you charged in a court of law. i can point out case after case of supporting case law to back that up. So because this lady works with paramedics she says she KNOWS what they know , see shes a secretary who thinks she knows more than the doctors do. Amazing. to be honest i would push to have her removed from this sight for promoting dangerous materials, but i assumes that he is such an idiot no one would listen, but just like the 9 eleven theory nuts and alien supporters, there's always a few nuts to cling on to their BS.
  2. Taurus lady, and I say this with all intent and truth, . you are the worst kind of irresponsible. If I had my way you would be up on charges for practicing medicine without a license. It is amazing how many obese people become dr oz after a little bit of knowledge. your line that a diabetic eats sugar and had normal blood sugar levels is stupid. when was their last insulin dose? how much was it? what is their baseline sugar? were they type 1 or type 2? what other meds did they take? what else did they eat or drink? what other factors may disqualify them as a research subject? I worked for a heart surgeon who helped develop transplant procedures still in use today, typing up and coordinating research papers, heck its half the reason I became a paramedic. Your information is GARBAGE. and you should be kicked off of the forums for it. Whats your next irresponsible informational post? GMO's aliens, pyramid power? chakra healing? reiki healing? secret government consipracies?
  3. I keep reading this thread and saying im not going to get involved, but man, all I can say is, some people need to stop trying to "sell" their brand of BS on here its really irresponsible. By the way it could very well be construed as criminally negligent, and very libelous.
  4. the changes are immense and wonderful. im two months post op and i wouldnt trade it for the world. You'll do great!
  5. in the words of Robert Johnson ( the father of Mississippi delta blues) " Aint a damn one of us born perfect." youve put in the work obviously, sometimes something has to break before it can be fixed but youre only human, youre stil an inspiration for getti ig this far!
  6. remember people also have different size sleeves. some surgeons go bigger than others. or smaller obviously. im two months out havent come close to trying baked potato, but again every journey is different. at your stage i was still in liquids and mashed potato yes baked, not allowed.
  7. yikes. to the first part, as to how you meet people. umm, i have no clue. lol
  8. heck yeah i went from really wide feet to normal feet and nomore swelling either so this summer ill be able to buy regular sandals no more shopping at the wide foot store. YAY!
  9. as a guy we have it easier, i wear sweats on weekends and workout type athletic pants ( yay elastic) can get em pretty cheap, im down to an XL from a 4xl now so i tend to wait until im swimming in them.
  10. umm you really cannot palpate ( feel) your spleen like that it has no sensation nerves in it as well, it would have to be severely inflamed before you would notice it physically, and that would be you screaming in pain if it was that big.
  11. i was denied twice and made it on the third appeal. im two months post op now, so it does work.
  12. as a man ill say this, it sounds like he just isn't ready, ready for what I call the one, two punch, 1 is when you look in the mirror ( figuratively) and say I am too fat and need to lose or else. 2. is when you finally realize that as macho as you are, as self sufficient as you think yourself to be, you cannot do it by yourself and need help. If he hasnt reached these conclusions on his own, deep down inside, then you losing weight is going to make him jealous and combative, but he wont express his jealousy like, "hey im so jealous youre doing great," it will just be anger and contempt. That one two punch has to happen, you can help it along, but fighting it will only make it worse.
  13. here is a hint or help as you will, get some of the flavorless fiber additive like benefiber ( store brands are cheaper) but add two teaspoons to your shake mix when you make em, and you will stay fuller much longer ( and avoid binding up n'cest pas?)
  14. try some ice it works great on these holes.
  15. honestly if you asked me would i have the sleeve to lose 45 pounds the answer is very adamantly no way. now you mention something like the word "stuck" in a sleeve it doesn't get stuck like in a lapband, you feel full very fast and if you dont eat slow enough and chew well enough that full feeling gets ignored until you are overfull and that is the stuck sensation i believe people are really mentioning. most people i know with more advanced arthritis than me have found alternatives to regular nsaids. as to the reflux, i had horrible gerd i slept in an adjustable bed for years due to it, but since my surgery my gerd is non existent, i had some acid issues immediately post surgery but nothing above the stomach.
  16. Here trust me this helped immensely.
  17. honestly, your going to need time to heal, but more importantly is time to get a routine down, its easy now to think oh ill drink this and etc, but until you get to that post op liquid stage its almost impossible to really know. I would suggest the marked Water bottle it really helps. if you need the picture of it , let me know ill post it.
  18. For me it took about 6 days post op. But i would ask about a fleet enema or dulcolax suppositories, not the most fun but the fleet enema works and you do feel much better afterward. But ask your doctor first please
  19. yeah my town had the most snow in all of Massachusetts we got 9+ feet in 2 weeks, 11+ feet in 3 weeks another couple inches tonight, i haven't seen anything but white or off white for weeks, we couldn't get to the gym for two weeks due to nowhere to put the snow, they had to call out the national guard to help clear the streets and we've had like 70 roof collapses so far, its ben a nightmare thankfully i haven't stalled to too much, but its damn hard when you cant get to to the gym i feel your pain.
  20. Thank you all so much I know its not the most pleasant of subjects, but i truly appreciate the advice.
  21. So im 2 months out now and ive done well, to be honest the weight loss is better than I hoped. BUT one thing is that I know im going to have skin issues. now in my lower belly its like the fat has separated and sunk, so that its now lower on my body, i have that fat flap that hangs down just to over my pubic bone. now i wash under ther every day and use a gold bond type powder to keep it dry tc but every now and then i still get an itch and what i think maybe the start of a rash, but ive been lucky enough to keeep ahead of it. So let me ask if anyone else dealing with skin issues, etc do you have any advice for care, thought maybe using a creme of some kind for a baby perhaps or should i just go with the powder thing etc. any ideas or thoughts?
  22. took me 2 months to get my intitial appointment only because the surgeon is so busy then it took me three months almost to the day to get all my testing in, psych appointments etc.
  23. I cannot imagine eating this little with a normal stomach, seriously if you could stick to my diet i would be amazed, i know there is no way i could do it. other than that if you can do a very high Protein, ultra low carb diet forever then by all means, but seriously if you do this, Breakfast- one egg ( scrambled, boiled etc) with cheese. mid morning snack 4 apple slices lunch Protein shake afternoon snack 1/2 greek 100 calorie low sugar greek yogurt dinner 4 ounces of protein 1- 2 oz of vegetables. nightime snack ( optional) sugar free Jello or apple slices. Now if you can do that without crashing your system and without being extremely hungry, more power to you.
  24. i had my gall blader done 4 years ago and now with this i do kind of look like ive been stabbed a bunch i have 12 little hole scars all over lol my wife says it makes me look rough...Grr. lol yeah right. lol
