I have a eighteen year old daughter who is banded I chose to take her to a heart doctor before her surgery She is a fainter. I feel for he mom and dad. She was a very pretty girl.So sad.

I lose 4 or five and then I stall for a week or two.I got stuck at 200,179,172 and HAVE BEEN STUCK AT 165 FOR OVER A MONTH.I am wondering if I will get past this one.

Both my daughter and I had to prove that being on a diet worked but not well. No major weight loss.We had to go a year.Show that we knew our correct portion sizes. Write down what we we in a journal. They want you to make a serious effort on your own before they invest the money on you. They think If you give up that easy you will not do well with surgery.

My doctor told me to eat till I was full. He would adjust to make me full quicker. No pouch packing.Im at 2cc and 54 down. I eat out of a coffee saucer. No seconds.I do not want them.

Clear rum and Minute maid low cal juice or Diet Tropical Blend V-8. If you must drink lets make it low carb. Do you eat late after you drink??????? You might try to find something else to do on the weekends. It will slow your weight loss.Good luck

I have one and I have a genaric one Mrs Kitchens works just as well and it cost $30.00.You can do the same thing with a blender( a good one) I get a bag of Dole frozen fruit and some low sugar juice and make fruit sorbet. I make protein drinks in the morning. Chicken salad.But like I said you can use a blender to do all this also.

I stayed a t a hotel down the street. Just in case and left for home the next morning.

I almost backed out two or three times. Thank God I did not. I look and feel so much better. A the surgery was a piece of cake.But I cannot and do not want to eat the way I used to. But it does get maddning sometimes when I have great resriction in the mornings.Protien shake breakfast.

For me it is like a T bone steak in my throat. Nothing else will go down and You may throw up if you go past it.You cannot over eat.

If you want to get SKINNY the band may not be your best option. If you eat when you are full the band may not be your best option. On the other hand if you can eat a lean quisen size portion and not eat after that.(You are not hungry) You feel you can change your eating and exercise habits. You drink eight glasses of Water a day. You leard the diffrence between head hunger and real hunger. The band is a great TOOL. It is a tool I can over eat if I want. I may PB or I may not.I know I will not get down to a size 5 but I am very happy at a size 14 and I feel better than I have ever remembered feeling in my life.I want to exercise and I want to be here to see my grandchilren grow up.As with any weight loss surgey it is up to YOU. I felt a lot better with the lapband risk vs the gastric bypass.One in 200 I do not like those odds. I was terrified of the gastric bypass surgery. I was taking 70 units of insulin and four pills a day. This band has to work. I was losing my eyes my health was going. I was so tired and sick. I feel great and my blood suger is 6.8.That is not perfect but it is a number I can LIVE with. Good luck to you.

Nope It is getting better everyday. I do not think the band will come lose. I was told I could ride rides at sixflags. So it should be safe to ride my cowboy.Yeeeeeeee Haw

At five months I have lost 50 lbs.It is slowing down and I really have to work harder at it.The doctor said I would only lose another twenty pounds. Start 218 I want to get down to 130. I am not giving up thet easy.Size 22 now a size 14. I am wanting a size ten. It may take a tummy tuck to get there.

I fix my plate on a coffee saucer.That is what I eat. You would be amazed what you can fit on a coffee saucer and I rarely finish it.I lost ten lbs last month when I started this.
