Looks like you are sitting around 39.3 bmi. I would drink lots of Water and wear my heaviest clothes. Slouch some on the height measurement. It won't matter previous dr visits with the higher height. Do you have any other weight related issues? sleep apnea?

First day was rough. I had a friends sons birthday party to go to. Drank my flavored Water while everyone else is eating cake. Not fun. But I made it. Now it's all down hill from here. I did get some broth. Need to make my Jello.
My dr has me on less than 500 cal a day. No room for snacking. Just Jello broth Protein shakes and Water. Lots of water.
I realized I'm in the middle of a mid life change. My oldest son started kindergarten and now I'm rethinking where I live and work. Trying to simplify my life. Im looking for a house closer to my child's school that also has a lot of our door activities so we can walk or ride bikes. Also looking for a less stressful job that is closer to our new potential house and school. What a time to realize all this.

So finally told my mom that I have a date set for my surgery. She tells me "why don't you try dieting one more time. ". "Your brother is doing great at this all Protein diet." "You know your aunt Betty had it done and had diarrhea every time she ate anything"
Ok I should have never told her. I know that now. Am I backing out no. Second thoughts no. Pissed that she wants me to delay and try another diet yes. I explained to her this is my one and only shot. If I try another diet I may never get gastric done. I have tried dieting my whole adult life and look what I have accomplished. Gained a second person. Another diet will prove nothing that has been proven already. I can't diet. I need hard stops that tell me no you can't eat this. That's why I am going through with this.

Oh I am excited. But I thought I had another month to mentally prepare for the procedure. It's life changing in so many ways. To have it move a month closer and that I was done with the hurdles was a shock to my system I guess. It made me realize that something I have wanted for years was actually going to happen. I'm sure everyone is different. But for some it's like bungie jumping off a bridge. You really want to do it. Get all prepped. Then you see the drop and say what if the line snaps. But you just jump anyways. After it's over you say I why did I not do that jump sooner. There's nothing to be afraid of.

Ok sounds normal right! But the surprise was that I thought I had another month of weigh ins! I looked at him confused and said huh. That's not right. Well they count the first visit as month one of the weigh in.
I had a holy crap moment this is going to happen really fast. It's like going to a vacation spot you always wanted to go.... London, Paris and you plan for it but it's just planning until you actually get on the plane and it's real. And it's gonna happen fast. Two weeks for ins approval. 10 days for pre op liquid diet and 10 days for any possible delays. Scheduled my surgery for November 4.
On a really funny and dry humor side I'm thinking if how much money I'm going to save during the holidays cause I'm not gorging on huge feasts.

Ok I'm curious what the time frame is from getting approval to surgery date. Is is like 2 weeks. 30 days. So 2 weeks waiting for approval then 4 weeks for the surgery date. Another 45 days from paperwork being submitted. Any ideas?

I thought about this also. So if the first visit is let's say May 1 with a dr and second visit is June 1. That would be one month. So for a three month supervised diet you would need to see the dr 4 times?
