Looks like you are sitting around 39.3 bmi. I would drink lots of Water and wear my heaviest clothes. Slouch some on the height measurement. It won't matter previous dr visits with the higher height. Do you have any other weight related issues? sleep apnea?

And congrats on taking the first steps!

Hi, sounds like we are about the same. I too am 5'5 with highest weight at 236. I have surgery on November 12th. My insurance required a little higher BMI UNLESS there were co-morbidity issues, like sleep apnea, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc. I'm not a doctor but it sure sounds like you have a few. Unless you are paying cash your insurance will more than likely make the final decision. My surgeons office worked with the insurance company sending and resending paperwork until they finally approved it. For me, the process has taken about 7 months, with that including a 5 month doctor supervised diet. I felt like I was never going to get to this point, but, here I am, ready to start the pre-surgery liquid diet. I see my surgeon tomorrow and then I will begin the final countdown to the other side! Just hang in there and before you know it you will be "on the other side". Best of luck! You will do fine. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
