November Surgery Dates Anyone? Let's Connect!

Hi.

I'm Deb from N. Carolina. I started this whole process back in August after a visit to my regular doctor. After way too many years of yo-yo dieting and never getting the job done, it's all caught up to me. Now I'm heavier than I've ever been, my BP is on the rise and so is my cholesterol. My arthritis is terrible in my knees and ankles. I retired a couple years ago and I hate it because I can't do any of the things my husband and I talked about doing at this time in our lives. It's time to move forward.....

My surgery is scheduled for Nov.11th. I'm excited and scared at the same time. I'm hoping that others that are getting ready to have their surgery in November might be interested in connecting to create a support group. Let's make this journey together and be there to support one another no matter where we live or what our ages may be.

I've been looking at many of the other discussions and some are great, but I have a hard time keeping up with all of them in different places. I'm wondering if a group like this would make it easier to keep tract of whatever we want to talk about.

What do you think????

I look forward to hearing from folks.

Deb

I'm having surgery in October but I'm also in nc. What part of nc is your surgery in?

Hi, I'm nov 5th in Little Rock! Super excited super nervous!!! Not really sure how to maneuver this site just yet but would love to be a part of a November group!

November 10th for me. I am also both excited and nervous at the same time. I am also having a hiatal hernia repair and my gall bladder removed so I will be having a three part surgery. I would love to connect and provide support to other November surgeries!

Embarrassed to ask but how do I add people to a friend list?

November 20th for me!!! So excited and very nervous! I'm also having my gallbladder removed. :) I am so ready to get surgery behind me! Anticipation can be brutal!

Hey everyone,

Whoever knows how to add someone as a friend please post how to do that. It looks like there's a number of us that would like to know. I did figure out (by accident) that if you hover over someones username under their picture that it gives you the option to send them a message.

I'm so glad to see that there are so many people that are getting ready for surgery in November. I'm going in 3 weeks from tomorrow. I'm really feeling anxious today. I'm going to order some Protein shakes today so that I have them when I start my liquid diet prep. I think I'm going to try the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury ones that my nutritionist gave me a sample of. They seem pricey, but I figure I'll be spending less on groceries overall....

Just click on the persons profile and there is a link at the top and bottom that says add as a friend.

I'm going to use Unjury for my pre-op diet too. Actually, that's the only Protein powder that my doctor has on his approved list :( I tried several flavors and they are pretty good. I just cannot taste the difference between the chocolate Classic and the Chocolate Splendor. LOL.

Have you guys decided on which Vitamins to use post-surgery?

I got my pre op appointment nov. 5th! No liquid diet only the day before the surgery! I am so nervous. Omg! I been wanting this for a long time. I cant wait to received my 33s in a new me
