Yes, make sure they are the fat free kind. I am able to split one can into five meals with each one being a little over 1/4 cup.

JerzyTomato74 reacted to Rogofulm in 3 weeks post- op. No weight loss in 6 days?
Congratulations! You have reached The Dreaded Week-3 Stall. It's perfectly normal, and just about all of us have suffered through it. You're not crazy, and your doctor didn't screw up. In fact, you might not lose any weight for two weeks or even longer. But don't worry – after that, the weight will start falling off if you stick to your program. And, the inches continue to come off even while the scale isn't budging. If you're interested, here's a good article that explains why it happens and why we all have to go through it. Hang in there. Pretty soon it'll be in the rear-view mirror and you'll be dropping weight again like crazy!
(Apologies to BP regulars who have seen this repeatedly, but it's a big deal to those who are going through it!)

Stalling at three weeks out is completely normal. It happens to everyone. Use the search function here and look for "3 week stall" or "third week stall" or "dreaded three week stall" and you'll see what I mean.
Keep following the program your doctor gave you and stay off the scale for a while - that will help you stress less about it, because there really isn't anything you can do other than wait it out. Good luck!

Just got my shipment of Syntrax nectar...not something you can get easily in Canada! Tried it today. Delish! And cranked up my Protein intake! I also added Benefiber to it, since I need more of that.
Now if I could just get Progresso Light Soups up here!

So far so good , I am loving the sleeve, it's nothing like the band, when I am full, I am full, no food getting stuck, no puking up when I eat or drink (yaaa) no hunger feeling, I absolutely love it!! I am 7 weeks out and have lost 29 lbs. I am very happy with the results so far, I am doing zumba again, and have joined a gym. the inches are melting off so glad I made the decision to have the revision. Just wanted to update!!!!

I've been drinking Isopure RTD mixed with Water and Crystal Light. So far my favorite combination has been Isopure Apple Melon and apple flavored Crystal Light (WalMart brand actually). The grape is just ok. The fruit punch and mango peach are both pretty good. There's also an orange flavor I've heard is also good.

I agree with looking at old photos of yourself when you were thinner and maybe keeping a couple tacked on your fridge and bathroom mirror as constant reminders. Challenge yourself and give yourself some mini-goals. Remind yourself of where you came from and how determined you are not to go back! Also, think of next summer and how good you are going to look in summer clothes not to mention how much fun it's going to be to go shopping for summer clothes!

    Hi, Typical meals.
Breakfast: coffee with a tablespoon of creamer and 1 egg with a handful of spinach and a laughing cow cheese wedge. Or, oatmeal with a tablespoon of pumpkin seeds or trailmix. Or 1 egg with 1 turkey sausage link.
Snack: cheese stick. Or, greek yogurt or cottage cheese
Lunch: Imitation crab, tuna or canned chicken with a little low fat mayo, chopped onioin, a few grapes quartered and a tablespoon of chopped pecans....eaten with about 5 special K cracker chips. Or, refried Beans with shredded cheese and taco seasoning. Or veggie burger patty with a laughing cow cheese wedge. Or chili with Beans. Serving size about 1/3 - 1/2 cup.
Snack: a small banana or apple....sometimes with a little Peanut Butter
Dinner: Grilled chicken, fish or beef and veggies.....very little veggies, usually because I get the Protein in first. Or, Italian meatballs in marinara sauce, meatloaf, taco meat with a sprinkle of cheese and avocado, or chili.
Snack: Protein shake if I need to up my Protein. Or, a low sugar, low calorie fudgecicle.
I end up with 750-900 calories and 55 - 75 grams of protein.

I have no idea either but my post-op meal instructions are 2 oz every 3 hours and 2 oz does not fill me up. I do "cheat" and add another ounce and I am more satisfied with that. My follow-up was with his assistant so I won't actually see my surgeon until 2 more weeks at my next follow-up so I do plan on asking him how small my stomach is.

    Oh, boy.
I've written before, and I'll say again, that I think overweight / obese people have an unusual need for approval from others for their personal decision to have WLS.
Tell 'em it's your decision and that your decision has already been made and you welcome and would appreciate their support. Then say that if they don't support you (and if they won't go to the trouble of educating themselves about what this surgery is actually about) then you don't want to hear their opinions. And be clear that you mean what you say.
And if that doesn't work, just explain that you will see them later when your weight loss journey is over. Adios.
You won't want and you don't need negative influences as you proceed on this journey.

JerzyTomato74 got a reaction from OCSlim in Shakes long term?
I think at some point I want to be completely free of all sugar substitutes. I've never been a big Breakfast eater so my plan when I get a month or two out, have Protein shakes as my Breakfast every day using unflavored Protein powder and add yogurt, fruit, etc. to it to flavor it up. At some point I want to try and do a juice cleanse maybe 6 months out.

Like mcbutterpants, Old "before" photos of myself were very motivating as I was losing. i've been in maintenance for 4 months and I kept a pair of my size 22 jeans and comparing them to my current 7's is a huge kick in the butt whenever I feel I'm drifting off track.

I look at old photos of myself...my decision day photo (taken 08/21/13) is the one I refer back to most often.
    I also know that when I don't workout, I don't feel good.
