Advice on tracking food in MyFitnessPal please?
Definitely talk to your doctor about your concerns, especially your depression. You might also want to consider seeing a therapist or counselor. As to MyFitnessPal, you can find it online through the App Store if you want to download the app to your phone or other device.

Protein & Water Concerns
Welcome and congratulations. It sounds like you are doing great. I am of the opinion that getting in your Protein and Water is the primary goal. How you do it is up to you. Yes, getting most, if not all, of your protein from food would be ideal but as you noted, it isn't easy. I was sleeved in April and with my goal of 100 grams of protein a day, I still use supplements (just not as frequently as I did in the beginning). I also have to eat frequently throughout the day in order to get it all in. As to the water, you just need to keep working on it. It is critical to get enough fluids. I use a lot of water enhancers (Mio drops, etc.), decaf tea, etc. to get in my fluids. I try to make sure I drink at least one 24 oz water bottle of water a day and the rest of my Fluid comes in different forms and in different temperatures. Try setting short term goals: for instance, drink am 8 oz cup of water or tea before you leave the house, etc. You can do it!

OAC Convention Scholarships Applications are Now Available!
OK, I am either blind or the website didn't have the info I was looking for. Where and when is the conference? Since the scholarship is for a percentage of the total cost, what is the cost of the conference?

Tai Chi
My exercise of choice is swimming so since I have been snowbound I haven't gotten much exercise. I took a Tai Chi class several years ago. Last night I dreamt of Tai Chi. I may have to see how much I can remember and see if I can find some YouTube videos for a refresher. So, today, some very strange Tai Chi is going to be happening at my house!

Popeyes!
I had an eating disorder therapist who was convinced almost all of our eating issues come down to se. I think there is a lot to that theory.

Food advice
How far out are you after surgery? What post-op food stage are you on? You don't have to eat "breakfast" food for breakfast. You could eat anything. Heat up leftovers, refried Beans. Soup, chili, etc. if you want something warm. You could also have tea, Protein hot chocolate, etc.

New to website have some questions
You probably won't feel 100% right away. Do your best to get in all of your protein and fluids and take your vitamins when instructed. All of these will help you to get your energy back as you heal.

19 days post op , frustrated
I agree that you need to talk to your doctor. Also, you really need to be getting in ALL of your Protein and fluids by now. Not getting enough of either is probably a major contributor for how bad you are feeling. You need both to heal.

1 Year Post Op Depression
I agree with @CowgirlJane. I swim at our local wellness center that has a rehab component. There are so many people with a range of physical limitations who are able to exercise with a rehab therapist. I especially recommend you look into some Water exercise. It is very easy on the joints.

I just saw "All of Me"
This sounds familiar, is it new? I remember seeing Zsalynn in something like this after seeing her on My 600 Pound Life and it explained so much. Apparently, she and some of the other early My 600 Pound Life folks were really involved in the Fat Acceptance/Fat Fetish world. I found it very sad and disturbing.

Do You Log Your Food?
Yes, I log it using MyFitnessPal religiously. It's the only way I know where I stand on my Protein target. The ironic part is that recording my food has always been the biggest mental block for me. I am sure it goes back to when I started Weight Watchers as an adolescent and my dad insisted I keep my food diary on the refrigerator so he could see it. After years of therapy and the ease (and privacy) of using an app, I am now a fan of recording my food. I've even shown the app to some folks who haven't had WLS because I find it so helpful.

What can I do with...cauliflower?
My roasted cauliflower turned out great. I added a bit of grated Romano cheese at the end. My apartment doesn't smell so good but it was delicious.

What can I do with...cauliflower?
I just put some cauliflower with olive oil and an herb seasoning in my toaster oven to roast. This is the first time I am roasting cauliflower. What are you favorite, easy ways to cook or eat cauliflower?

How Do You Like to Be Complimented?
I am toying with the idea for an article and could use everyone's help. I have noticed that we frequently have threads about how insulting and rude some people can be when commenting on our weight loss. Whether they mean to be kind or rude, it seems that there doesn't seem to be a very good sense of how to talk about such an obvious change or even if talking about it is acceptable. Some of us hate it when no one comments, others hate it when someone does comment. Since most of us aren't French, we never have really learned the fine art of giving and receiving compliments (without it turning into a back-handed compliment or criticism). What are some examples of comments or compliments that you have received that you found particularly helpful? What kinds of comments make you feel good about your success? What do you like to hear from friends and family and not co-workers? What do you like to hear in a professional setting? I know that there are no hard and fast rules but I would like to figure out a way to provide some guidance on how to address such obvious changes, especially in the workplace. I would love to hear your thoughts, ideas, and experiences.

Big Clothes - Must turn the corner now!
This is a great idea. Just an FYI from my experience volunteering at a thrift store, many of these type of organizations may help their clients obtain clothes from thrift stores. They may give them vouchers or acquire clothes from thrift stores. I think you can feel confident that wherever you donate the clothes, they will help someone either directly or indirectly.
