Diane, glad to hear from you. Glad to hear things aren't any worse and it seems like there's no rush, so that's good. Take the time and make the best decision for yourself. Good luck with the breast reduction too!
2. Renewed, I had to laugh when you said you had a lemon slush from sonic. I've heard you rave about it, so a couple of weeks ago, I tried one and it was sooo good. Later that week, I tried a lemon cream slush and OMGosh....so good! That's all I get from there now! I didn't have the best weekend. We were gone pretty much all weekend and eating on the go. Even though I didn't do the best with my carbs, I have noticed I'm not craving sweets anymore....and that was my main goal (Sweets are the devil ). Anyway, starting back strong tomorrow. Everyone is doing great! Keep up the good work!
3. Thank you everyone! Sometimes it's really hard to see the differences until you compare before pics. I feel like this last fill is really helping with the hunger and I am excited to see the rest of my weight come off. Thanks again!
4. Okay, the first picture was me at 330 lbs. The second one was taken yesterday at 245 lbs.
5. mamato3, the sodium is probably making you retain water. As far as the constipation, I dunno. Atkins hasn't effected me that way yet. Hope it gets better!
6. Welcome dawgfan! I had an off day today...not very good in the carb dept, but I am ready to get back to it tomorrow. I was down another pound today though! Keep up the good work everyone!
7. I was down a pound today...YAY! Calories burned~ 2644 Calories consumed~ 1118 Deficit~ 1526 Not bad...just not as good as I wanted.
8. Thanks Renewed! Glad you will be posting stats with me. I was feelin a little lonely, lol! Thanks Keywestgirl! Posting my stats definitely holds me accountable and keeps me motivated. Have a great weekend!
9. I did pretty good today too. I had a LC slim fast for breakfast, spinach & cheese turkey roll-ups for lunch, and Wendy's chili for dinner. The chili probably wasn't the best choice but I still think I did okay.
10. Where is everyone? I guess I'm the only one posting stats. Oh well, it keeps me accountable so I'm going to continue doing it. Calories burned~ 2600 Calories consumed~ 760 Deficit~ 1840
11. Great NSV's Renewed!! Congrats on all your accomplishments! Here are a few of my recent NSV's: ~I bought some "normal" bra's the other day. I used to have to buy the ugly white bras that had the huge thick straps and thick sides...you know, the ones that make the girls look pointy. Well, I was actually able to buy a cute bra that actually looked normal. The same with panties. White grannies is what I used to always wear but I bought some smaller colored and patterned panties that looked "normal" as well. ~a church member told me that my waist was getting smaller and they could see a nice shape to me. That was really cool! ~I went from wearing a 5XL mens T-shirt (OMGosh:eek:) to wearing a 2XL women's shirt. I can't believe I was THAT big, lol! ~I feel sooo much better. I have more energy, more confidence....and my hubby is LOVIN the changes in me.
12. Okay, I was going to try to hold off on weighing, but I couldn't help myself. I had gained 2 pounds prior to starting atkins because I was on a junk food spree, but I weighed in at 246 this morning, so I lost the 2 lbs I had gained. I can't wait to see how much I lose in the 2 week period of doing this. Have a great day everyone!! Keep up the good work!!
13. Renewed, I sent you a PM already, but I am really glad your little boy is doing okay. Glad you are joining us tomorrow!
14. Well, I had another good day today! Here's my stats Calories burned~ 2423 Calories consumed~ 790 Deficit~ 1633 The funny thing is, I haven't even been to the gym in several days. I find myself making ways to just move more. I love my bodybugg!
15. I'm glad someone else does this. I always do weights first and then cardio. I can't remember where I heard this though. When I'm at the gym, most of the people (well, mostly women) working out, do cardio first then weights. I always wondered if I was wrong but I'm glad to know someone else heard it too.
16. Hey everyone! Today was another good day for me. I was going to try and hold off on weighing until Monday, but I'm not sure I can. I am anxious to see if I have lost any weight! I definitely feel better already!
17. Crap, I should have waited a few more weeks! Oh well....
18. ...because I stayed on plan yesterday and it felt good!
19. Hi Wisegrl! You are probably going to hear many different opinions on this. I can tell you what I was advised to do. I was told to do strength training every other day, to give my muscles time to rest. I usually do cardio everyday (on a good week) and strength training 3-4 times a week. I think both are equally important.
20. My doc suggests eating only 3 meals a day with no snacking, but that rarely happens. Some days I can eat 3 meals and be fine, others I have one snack, and others I have 5-6 small meals. I'm not advising anyone to go against doctors orders, but I know my body better than anyone. Here are some things I snack on: whole raw natural almonds cottage cheese string cheese or a hunk of block cheese dry roasted edamame Protein bars (I like the Kashi bars best) yogurt, by itself or sometimes mixed with cottage cheese Low carb slim fast deli meat rolled up with sliced cheese, cream cheese, or spinach dip fresh fruit whole wheat crackers with cheese
21. Mine doesn't show either. My bra completely covers it. Like Leslie said, you are more than welcome here. Good luck to you!
22. Most of you know I love using dips in my food as a substitute for mayo. I normally use spinach dip in my foods but I am out. Well, I came across some dip that my DH bought and used it in my tuna salad and it was really good! Here's the recipe if anyone wants to try it: 1 can tuna, in Water 2 tbsp Tostitos Creamy Southwestern Ranch dip tiny dash of salt (don't go overboard, tuna is already a little salty) pepper to taste tiny dash of garlic powder Drain tuna and mix all ingredients well. Enjoy! Oh, here's the nutritional content for the whole recipe: Calories~ 210 Fat~ 6 Carbs~ 2 Protein~ 35
23. That's wonderful! Who is it?
24. Hey Mamato3! I try to go by total carbs, but if I go a little over I don't fret about it. I could be wrong, but I think the book says you can go by net carbs. Either way, stay at 20 or less and you should be fine. Have a great day!!
