  1. I think I went to settings, then sensor, then calibrate. I calibrated a walk and then a run. I selected to calibrate a .25 mile walk and run. After doing that, I did a short run and it was right on the money with the treadmill distance. Do you put the sensor inside your shoe or do you use the shoe pouch? I'm using the shoe pouch until I buy new shoes. It seems to be working okay.
  2. Thanks, I'll have to try that next time!
  3. These sound great! Do you use the pumpkin with all the different recipes? I bet sweet potato would be good too. Where can I buy the reduced sugar cake mixes...I don't think I've seen them before??
  4. Thanks. Ya'll let me know if you like it!
  5. I get mine from Walmart. I think the brand name is Rosina...I get the homestyle, but they also have italian and sweedish too I think. That sounds really good!! I've got meatballs in the slow cooker now...I wish I had some of the apple jelly. Did you use apple jelly and chili sauce??
  6. Thanks luluc! Happy New Year to you too!
  7. Hello guys! I've been MIA for a while...haven't done so well since Thanksgiving, but I'm back! I got my booty up and went to the gym this morning. walk~ 10 minutes run~ 10 minutes zumba~ 45 minutes
  8. WTG Sugar!! Well, I got my booty up and went to the Y this morning! I calibrated my nike+ and did a short run, then I did Zumba. I can surely tell that I haven't exercised in almost 2 months. I feel great though...it's good to be active again!!
  9. Leslie....glad to have you back. You aren't alone, I've lost and gained the same pounds for months now. I'm joining up on the nike+ challenge and I hope that will help motivate me. I've been down right lazy since Thanksgiving. Here's to rockin' our goals in 2009! Happy New Year ya'll!!
  10. Hello to all my C25K buddies! I'm back!!!! I am soooo glad to be home. We had a good time, but I am ready to see my boys. Welcome back Leslie...I've missed you! I'm glad you are posting again. Renewed....I'm going to get my nike+ up and going tonight and figure out how to work it, lol. I'll PM you my email address. Well, I'm gonna go pick up my son in just a few minutes....I'm soooooo ready to see him! I'm going to do something tonight...not sure what yet, but something. I may get the Wii Fit out and do it. I feel like I've gained at least 5 pounds since I've been gone. Gosh, I hope not, lol. Anyway, I'm glad to be home and ready to start running again!
  11. Sugar...I agree with Kathy, try doing one interval and just go until you HAVE to stop. I think Kathy was the one that suggested that to me when I was stuck and it worked wonders. Like she said, just add a minute or two each week until you work up to the 5K. It worked for me. Melody...good for you! You are doing great! Well, I'm leaving in the morning and will be gone until Tuesday. When I get back, I'm gonna set up my nike+ system and get busy! I hope taking a month off hasn't brought me down too far....oh well, if it has, I'll just start over again. I'm so ready to get going again!! Talk to ya'll on Tuesday!!
  12. I haven't played my Wii in a while, but I'll have to check that one out. I've always enjoyed the jump rope....sounds really fun!
  13. Hello all my C25K buddies! I hope ya'll had a very merry Christmas! It's been a super busy week for me. We had soooo many relatives to meet with this week....but it was worth it, lol. We had a wonderful Christmas! Kathy, I'm looking forward to doing some Nike+ challenges. Maybe it's just what I need to get motivated again. I haven't ran in over a month now....I'll probably have to start back at the beginning, lol. I'm like you though, not sure I could keep up with Renewed and Whosya....they are running machines, lol. I'm leaving Sunday and going to Macon for a few days, so I won't be online any until I get back on Tuesday. I already feel like a stranger because I haven't been on here much lately. I hope things calm down a bit after this trip so I can breathe again. Everyone is doing great....keep it up!!
  14. Renewed, we read the Christmas story each year too. It's been a tradition in my family for a long time. We go over to my mom and dad's on Christmas day and we always read the Christmas story from the bible before opening gifts there. It's been a special tradition for me and I hope it will be for my son too. What a neat idea about getting 3 gifts....very cool!
  15. Kathy, it's the same for us this year. I didn't get to spend near as much as I usually do. We've been living on one income for almost 3 years now, and this has been the hardest year yet. We are focusing on celebrating Jesus' birth and family too. We always do, but even more so this year. I can't believe Christmas is less than a week away...time is flying by.
  16. I found this recipe on the internet and thought I would share it with ya'll. I made it today and it is VERY good!! Now I can enjoy eggnog on Christmas day without all the carbs. HOMEMADE LOW-CARB EGG NOG RECIPE 1 quart of heavy whipping cream 1/4 cup Splenda 1/4 cup Egg Beaters 2/3 cup sugar free Egg Nog Syrup (I ordered mine online) 1/2 teaspoon imitation vanilla extract A small pinch of nutmeg Mix the cream, Splenda, Egg Beaters, DaVinci Sugar Free Egg Nog Syrup, vanilla extract, and nutmeg in a shaker. shake well and then refrigerate. Voila! You’ve got low-carb egg nog!
  17. Well, I'm a weirdo too then, lol. I would much rather have Jillian. I'm not a Bob fan, at all. Bob seems to care too much about having all blue team members in the finals than their actual health to me. I'm just glad Heba didn't make the finale, because she would have won.
  18. Whooo Hooooo!! Yay Michelle!!! luluc, I agree, that was a priceless moment when Ed was chosen....DH and I laughed sooooo hard!!
  19. Hey Mia! I'm doing pretty good. I got a fill a few weeks ago. I had gained 10 lbs!!! I've lost 9 of those 10 pounds so far. I've been watching my carbs. I'm just ready to get to Onederland!! Your welcome Jeannie! I know what you mean....I had hoped to be in Onederland by now too. Hey Brina! Just give Terri a holler and let her know that you are not getting the newsletter. She'll fix it for you. I've already deleted mine or I would forward you a copy. There's no fee. If you go ahead and call Terri, she might could send you the December one now. Good to hear from you!
  20. I'm with ya'll!! I haven't been running and tomorrow I will just flippin' do it!! I have been doing with eating though. I'm still doing low carb, but giving myself one "treat" per week. My "treat" day was Saturday and to my surprise, it wasn't hard for me to get back in the grove at all. I will weigh again on Friday, but last time I checked, I was one pound above my ticker weight. I've lost 9 of the 10 pounds I gained!! I've been soooo busy. I had some sort of event EVERYDAY last week and this week is pretty much the same...busy, busy, busy. Anyway, I'm going to try my hardest to run tomorrow!! Thanks for the pep talk ya'll!
  21. Jeannie, I saw you in the December newsletter. You look AWESOME!! What a difference....you should be very proud of yourself!!
  22. lojo~ I never had to swallow the chalk stuff. Not sure about everyone else though. I'm glad you are doing okay. Welcome countrysunbh! Check out the Bagnato Bandits forum. Everyone usually posts in that forum. We haven't used this thread in a while, lol. Here's the link --> Bagnato Bandits - Lap Band Surgery and Lap Band Discussion Forum
  23. Hi Sheri and welcome!! Many people can't eat bread and Pasta because it gets stuck and it's just too hard to bother with. I think it varies from person to person. I've been banded for over a year now and I've pretty much always been ABLE to eat bread and pasta, but most of the time I choose not to because I try to watch my carbs. Believe me, you'll find out which foods you can and cannot tolerate, lol. Scrambled eggs are hard for me to eat most of the time. Again, welcome and good luck to you!!
