  1. Couch to 5k is an excellent program!! That would take care of the cardio part of working out. Jump roping is a good cardio exercise too. Not sure if you have stairs inside your home or steps outside, but running up and the steps is a good workout too. Also, you can use household items for workouts....half-gallon milk jugs refilled with Water make great weights. Some people use Soup cans, but they do nothing for me. You could also do squats, lunges, crunches, push-ups....the possibilities are endless. Go old school!
  2. Well, I didn't run today. I'm giving my foot a rest today and I'll try again tomorrow. It feels a little better tonight, so hopefully it will be good for tomorrow. Everyone is doing so well....let's keep it up!!!
  3. That sounds good...I'll weigh on Monday! 100 miles??? You go girl! If anyone can do it, you can!
  4. Renewed....I wanted to weigh soooo bad today! When I'm on track, I usually weigh everyday. Weighing only once a week is going to be hard!
  5. I think this is going to be the best season yet! I too think this is the first season where the people actually look their weight. It's good to see some really big people on the show this time....especially the women. I'm really excited about this season. Can't wait to watch it next Tuesday!!
  6. Great NSV Renewed! You and Whosya are kicking butt on the challenge! I can relate to the all or nothing mentality. When I'm doing good, I am sooooo focused and dedicated. But if I "fall off the wagon" it's all over....I really need to work on that because we can't be perfect all the time, it's just not possible. If I run today, it probably won't be very far. My foot has been bothering me since yesterday. It's probably because I went from not running at all, to doing 4 miles a day. I'll just have to see later. Have a great ya'll!
  7. Took the day off Sunday. Yesterday- 4.1 mile run/walk Today- 4.4 mile run/walk
  8. I ran on the treadmill yesterday and mine was only off by five hundredths of a mile (0.05)....that's close enough I guess.

This sounds really good! I'll have to give it a try!
  10. Okay...I weighed this morning and I am up 8 lbs from my ticker weight. I fixing to change it. Now I am more motivated than ever to get back to that 100 lb weight loss again!
  11. Thanks Renewed! I'm sooo glad to see all of us motivated again. I love this thread and I'm so excited that we are all back on track!!
  12. Thanks Kathy! I walked a good bit of it, but I'm soooo excited to be moving again.
  13. This Nike+ thing is too cool! I just logged my first run for the challenge. I think this is really gonna help me stay motivated for a while. As soon as this one is over, we need to plan on setting another one up so we don't have any down time. My trainer buddy from the Y wants me to sign up for a 10k in March! He's gonna do the half-marathon and says I should do the 10k. I really don't think I can be ready for a 10k by March. I told him I would think about it though. Let's make this a great week guys!
  14. Okay Renewed....I'll do it too. I really don't want to change my ticker, but like you said, maybe that will just motivate me more. I haven't weighed since a couple of days after Christmas. I had gained about 8 lbs between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I hope I have lost some of that since...we'll see. I will weigh in the morning and adjust my ticker.
  15. I also made a batch with the reduced sugar brownie mix last night and froze all of them. I think I like the brownie mix muffins better, just because I tasted less of the pumpkin in those. I like pumpkin okay, but the yellow cake mix batch tasted like pumpkin more than anything else. They came out pretty dense, but they were very filling, so that's a good thing. Overall, I thought they were a good Protein snack. I really enjoyed them.
  16. I say we do what Kathy suggested....all of us team up against Whosya and we might win, lol. That will be the only way I win, hahaha.
  17. Whoooo Hooooo on the 5 miles Renewed!! That's great!! I didn't get in a run today....Sundays are soooo busy for me. I'll be running in the morning though. Thanks for setting up the challenge Renewed! I hope it keeps me motivated. BTW, the team challenge sounds so fun. We should do that next!
  18. Well, I had a booger of a time finding the reduced sugar cake mix, but after going to 3 different stores I finally found one. I have some in the oven now! I did a yellow cake mix, Cookies and cream Protein powder, and pumpkin. It smelled pretty good...I'll let ya'll know how they turn out. Oh, I found a reduced sugar brownie mix that has much less calories than the cake mix and next time I'm gonna try using the brownie mix instead of the cake mix and see what happens.
  19. Okay, are we still starting the challenge tomorrow? I'm new to the nike+ website. How do I go about doing the challenge??? I'm not very good at figuring this kinda stuff out, lol.
  20. Mac...do you have access to a treadmill? It would probably be best to calibrate it on the treadmill, that way you can set a constant pace and know exactly how far you've gone.
  21. Thanks, I will look next time I go to the grocery store.
  22. LOL Sugar....I hope I build back up fast. Don't be so sure about me not coming in dead last...if ya'll saw how bad I was huffing and puffing today, you'd understand. So, we are starting Monday right?
  23. Thanks Ceradad!! Today: 1.6 mile run/walk
  24. Sugar...you will eventually build up. It took me a long time, but it finally happened. As long as you are burning calories and keep at it, that's all that matters. Well guys...if I EVER decided to take another 2 month vacation from running, someone please kick my butt!! I feel like I'm starting over. I did a 1.6 mile run/walk today. I went from being able to run for 45 minutes straight, to 4 or 5 minutes....I could just kick myself for taking off for so long. I know I will build back up eventually but I'm just soooo mad at myself! I don't think I'll be much competition for the nike+ challenge, but maybe it will keep me motivated.
  25. LOL Lyn!!! That's hilarious!!
