Coffee?
I went back to coffee at a month but I only drink one cup. (It takes a long time to drink it.)

HELP!I NEED A LIST OF SLIDERS!
Anything that is liquid or like a yogurt consistency is a slider. Avoid it unless you are using it as a meal replacement/protein source.

I need to vent...4 weeks out and very stalled
OMG I lost 27 lbs on the 2 week pre op and 2 week post op. Then the next 3 weeks I lost 4 lbs. I was so upset! My body just stopped losing. Then it kicked in again. At 5 months, I was down 80 lbs. Don't worry. We are all unique. You will lose the weight, I promise.

Hungry!
That happened to me a few days out. Lasted maybe 3 days, never to return. I don't know if it was head hunger, hormonal, withdrawal or what. But it did go away.

Bread and Biscuits post op
I don't eat bread... Haven't since before surgery.

Restriction
The restriction kicks in with food. And it really does kick in big time.

Going back to horse riding
I started working out with a trainer at 3 months. My balance was off but that improved quickly. I think I could have ridden at that point safely but I seldom ride anymore.

Ugh!
I wanted to shoot myself until about 2 weeks out, then it got much better. One month out was worlds better. It's going on 6 months now and I am so happy I did this. It gets better every day; don't worry!

Gained weigh during surgery
You receive a lot of fluids in the hospital. That was the weight you gained. Perfectly normal.

What do you drink when you go out?
I drink water but an occasional glass of red wine if we go out... Just one and it takes a while to drink it.

Hospital question for all you post- op people
Hospital gown. I wore a robe over it when I walked. I was so out of it, clothes were the last thing on my mind.

Constipation - I know Im not alone!
Peas and beans work for me. I cook dried beans in chicken broth with some onion. They are good protein and the fiber has a fast result for me.

Food amounts
I was about the same at 6 weeks... I am almost 6 months out now and still only eat very small amounts. But I snack on almonds and cheese a few times a day. I am never hungry but if I don't eat enough I feel worn out and weak.

Eggs
One poached egg at 2 weeks... Tasted so good.

Being put under
It's like blinking. You have no awareness of being under. Don't worry at all!

Vomiting with empty stomach? (The Adventures of Erin and Frankensleeve)
Not often but occasionally I throw up hours after eating... Sometimes I wonder if maybe air causes it, like sipping water too quickly. It is awful! But thankfully it's rare for me.

One year ago.....
Wonderful testimony. You should be very proud. God bless.

3 weeks out and still having trouble with protein and foods
Normal! Don't worry! It really takes at least a month to feel better. My doctor said you are still swollen an unhealed before then. Go easy on yourself and don't worry. It will get much better soon.

Hi! Starting the process
I also hated that I would no longer be able to relish all my comfort food binges but you know what? Five months out I don't miss it at all. I wonder how it ever appealed to me. We learned our behavior and you will learn new behavior. It really is amazing. I no longer live to eat; I eat to live. So do we all and so will you. God bless you. Full speed ahead!

New idea for protein...and it tastes GOOD!
I need to do this... Those drinks are SO expensive and they are gross!

Help!
And I would tell the HR Director what his or her staff did.

Help!
Wow.. HR?? Have they never heard if HIPAA?? Someone can not only be fired for that but criminally charged as well. Ignore those who are ignorant about this procedure. Listen to those who are informed and listen to your heart. This surgery has given me my life back. End of story.

Reached my first goal
Feels wonderful, doesn't it?

My husband is not attracted to me - 2 weeks post-op
Very unsupportive, thoughtless, and insensitive. Don't dwell on it. Focus on you. When you are stronger and healthier, you never know what you may decide to do. Good for you for taking this step!

dizziness
Yes, and I am very anemic, which is probably the reason. Working on that.
