Restriction

Has anyone not felt much restriction with liquids or yogurt? I was sleeved 11 days ago and I have no problems with drinking 64 ounces a day in addition to eating a full yogurt over 15 minutes. My weight loss has been good ...16lbs in 11 days. I just worry that maybe I've stretched my sleeve or something is wrong with it????

Will
I feel the restriction when I start eating soft foods?

I can eat a whole container of yogurt no problem, but I struggle to eat more than a few ounces of meat or anything more solid.

There's nothing wrong, you didn't stretch anything. Wait until you eat real food.

Thanks so much guys. I was starting to feel there's something wrong even though I saw the swallow study and saw how small my new stomach is!

shakes, pudding, and liquids all went down easily just after surgery. I was easily drinking over 100 oz of liquids a day after the first week. I also thought something was wrong, like my sleeve was too big or it was leaking.

But once I started on purees...HUGE difference. I felt fuller faster and stayed fuller longer. I found every phase to be increasingly satisfying and of course great for letting the sleeve heal. The phases are also great to become familiar with eating with a small tummy. The puree phase is where you will see what it's like if you "overdo" it a bit. Great learning curve there!

Best of luck on your journey!

The restriction kicks in with food. And it really does kick in big time.
