  1. I am doing great I was banded October 2007 I have lost 50+ as of right now. I have had an awesome experience with his office very nice and good at what they do.
  2. I had my surgery done in Noblesville with Indiana Obesity Center- Dr. Keith McEwen. He is an awesome Dr. and has performed the most lap Band surgerys in Indiana. I would highly recomend him, I also paid cash.
  3. I am 9 months out and the gas is the same with me all the time and never lets up!
  4. What does it feel like to feel restricted? Just curious I have had 4 fills also and I eat ablut 1/2 cup but I am always hungry.
  5. I agree with you completely. You say you finally have restriction, what does that feel like to you? I was banded 9/27/07 I have had 4 fills going on my 5th next week. I can eat 1/2 cup of food and if I go over that my shoulder kills but with only eating 1/2 cup I am hungry again in 2-3 hours. Can you share your thoughts with me?
  6. I think you have did an awesome job, I was reading your post and looked at your weight tracker. WOW you have kicked it in the butt! I was banded 9/27/07 and seem to only average a pound a week, would you mind sharing what you have done to be so sucessful? I wouls really appreciate it.
  7. I totally understand how you feel fustrated. I was overfilled one time and could not even hold liquids down it took 2 days before I was able to get unfilled and I felt like I was dieing. Hang in there and remember to look at the overall picture and outcome that will come out of it down the road! You can do it
  8. Here goes: 1.My face is totally thinned out. 2.People at work keep asking how much I have lost and saying how good I look. 3.I have very few clothes left that actually fit like they are suppose to. I was banded 9/27/07 in Indianapolis, IN. I have lost 30 pounds since that time, nothing huge every week just your normal 1.5 to 2 pounds per week. I like getting on the treadmill but dont do it often enough. I guess I am needing a jump start to get totally on track.:tongue2: I think with it being winter its alot harder emotionally than if it was nice weather and you could be out doing more.
  9. I think everyone is differernt, I have been fine with Lettuce now red meat I have not even went there. The dr said to stay away from steak for about a year. Hope this helps.
  10. How does restriction feel? How do you know you have reached it?
  11. I guess I am confused, I went for my first fill and because I was having trouble with eating chicken he said to wait 3 more weeks and asked me to increase my calorie intake up to 1100 from 900. When I go back to get that fill and if it works wont my calorie intake just go back down?
  12. I was banded in Indianapolis Spet. 27, followed the dr's rules to a tee and I have my first fill this Thursday. How do they determine how much you get? I know I am hungry between meals and they told me I can have between 3-5 oz per meal. Will this change when I get filled? Will the oz's go down?:help: Will the hunger go away?
  13. I am from Indiana as well, north of Lafayette. I went to Indy to have my surgery. I have my first dr apt. this thursday to get a fill. I am nervous. I was banded Sept 27 and am down 14 pounds. Does anyone have any advice on the excersiseing? I am trying to walk a mile every other day, should I be doing more? Also is anyone else eating out?
