      @BeagleLover Thanks!

      How goes your journey?

    2. BeagleLover

      BeagleLover

Pretty good. I was sleeved on Sept. 26th and lost 35lbs so far. Seems like there are more stalls than pounds lost sometimes.

    3. HalloweenBaby24

      HalloweenBaby24

@BeagleLover I feel ya on that note. I has mine on the 8th of September and probably have 2 good Stalls a month.

35lbs is good!, I was expecting the weight loss to be a little quicker but I'm not really disappointed either way.

  6. LOVE how i've lost 40lbs but some how I've only went down 1 jean size! :(

    1. Forsythia

      Forsythia

It's plus sized clothes. I dropped a ton of weight before I went down a size (I was a 26/28 in pants). In Misses sizes you drop sizes faster. It's not you. :)

    2. gowalking

      gowalking

Forsythia is right. I was also a 26/28 in pants and it took nearly 50 lbs. to go down one size. The smaller you get, the less time it will take to go down in sizes. I went from an 8P to 6P in jeans and lost less than 10 lbs. Just hang in there. It will happen soon enough.

  7. Have not been on here much lately, Life is moving pretty quickly.

@proudgrammy I've missed everyone here as well things have been really busy with work and life so I've had little time for focusing on food lol. My Birthday was good took my daughter out Trick-Or-Treating and spent the evening at home with some friends. My 2 months out just past on the 8th and I'm down 35lbs, Little less then I was hoping for but I'm happy regardless and I don't regret it. Hope thing's are well with you keep in touch.

      Unstoppable

Good for you, I can wait till I can start working out. I hope the ouches are from the work out and not from your new stomach.

  12. I have the day off tomorrow, Going to face my fears and go get a gym membership.

    1. HealthyNewMe
    2. Ava324

      Ava324

Joining my gym was the best thing I ever did! Pre-surgery I was a member at a big fitness club (pool, cafe, computer area, etc.) and I was real uncomfortable there. Too many times I'd go, get in gym clothes, buy a smoothie, hop on a computer for a bit and then leave. The small Anytime Fitness I'm at now is perfect. The trainers greet us all by name. Early in my membership I missed 10 days in a row and they actually called to check on me. Distance is a huge factor too! It's just 5 minutes from my house, where the big club was 10 and a few to find a parking spot. Just that little bit matters. Best wishes on finding a gym that work for you!!

    3. HalloweenBaby24

      HalloweenBaby24

@HealthyNewMe I was a member of PF for a year and loved it!, Sadly it's a bit far from me (15-20min drive) and don't offer childcare for my 4yo, regardless I won't have to bring her all the time but it's nice to have the option just in case my husband get's home late. @Ava324 I was able to join a local gym that is just around the corner from my home that offer's childcare and a small tight nit facility so I'm happy about it :) Hopefully

I can find the motivation to go.

    1. Chelly

      Chelly

Really you should take to your surgeon's office about the swelling and ask them what they think about it.

I don't remember having swelling like that.

      Take care.

  20. OMG When will the pain in my side STOP!..Now I have a cold and I keep sneezing, everytime I fall to my knees.

    1. Miss Mac

      Miss Mac

Yes, indeed, call your doctor. Mine refuses to do telephone diagnosis. Last year I thought I pulled a muscle in my back just below the shoulder blade, and Ben-Gay made it hurt like hell. After several days it did not let up, so I called and he told me he would squeeze me in. When he looked at my back, he knew right away what it was. I had shingles and there I was putting Ben-Gay on it. Boy did I learn my lesson about trying to guess what something is. The doctor said I also had "Google-itis" and to stop diagnosing myself on the internet!

    2. KayleeC14

      KayleeC14

Call your doc, he or she will help you. I did a little too much after surgery and let the pain slip without keeping up on the pain medicine and learned a powerful lesson. If you are on pain medicine what did they give you? I was on liquid Lortab which is a higher dose of Tylenol.

    3. HalloweenBaby24

      HalloweenBaby24

@Kaylee14 @Miss Mac called my Dr's office today and was told the Nurse Practitioner would call me back, She did and I told her my issue, She basically just told me to get over it...Didn't offer any other solution other then regular Tylenol and a heating pad which I've been doing without any relief. I was sent home with a week's worth of Oxycodone which I was taking at night only to ease the pain when sleeping and it was getting better, The first week out I was fine thing's felt well and then I got this head cold and sneezed myself paralyzed.

      5BeautifulDays

That was the first thing out of my mouth when I saw my dr. for my two-week follow-up. On a 90 degree day. "I'm cold all the time!" LOL

He said it was totally normal, and to expect it to get worse through the winter--"invest in fleece!" he said! What a joker. It's more than just losing weight. It's operating on so few calories, as well as our bodies spending so much energy on healing. It should get better in a year or two.
