  1. Well, maybe you just said it "I have always been all or nothing". Maybe you just cannot deviate from your plan at all.
  2. It's important to stick to the preop because you need to shrink your liver for surgery. I saw another post and a few people said their doctor threatened won't operate because breaking your pre op could create a serious issue for surgery. Plus, isn't that what we all do, talk ourselves into bad behaviour? p.s. I'm not criticizing you .... just food for thought.
  3. Congrats! You are half way there!!!!!
  4. You've lost a teenage girl! LOL. Congrats!

  8. Hi, they want you to do a liquid diet to shrink your liver. Makes it easier for surgery.
  9. Oh my gosh, I have 4 weeks of preop diet!! 2 weeks of high Protein, low carb, low fat, 1 week of full liquids and 1 week of Clear Liquids. Sheesh. I started my preop diet today! Oh, and I just wanted to add, that I am the "standard". No patients do less than what I'm doing and if the BMI is high they have to do a longer pre-op diet phase.
  10. I'm in Ontario Canada. I'm 50. I start my preop diet tomorrow - I get sleeved June 30 by Dr. Pompa in Mexico. I'd be happy to share my personal e-mail if everyone would like to start a support group.

  13. Your blood sugar may be low? Usually when I get shaky that's why. Try half an extra shake, see if it helps?
  14. Thanks! That's super good info. So the SLIDER foods can be the DANGEROUS foods. I just thought anything would fill you up. Why don't slider foods fill you?
  15. I've seen this reference in many posts but can't find a post explaining what it is.
  16. If anyone is from Eastern Ontario and would like to start a support group, let me know. I am in Kingston, Ontario
  17. Anyone from Ontario (Belleville, Kingston, Gan, Napanee) area? I'd like to start a support group.

  19. True friends would be there for you .... if they aren't then they aren't true friends. Hope you feel better with that vent!
