  1. Wow...I voted yes. I guess I'm odd woman out. I don't like it w/DH now, because he's very well endowed. We've actually never really been able to complete it because it hurts too much. But, in my younger days and with a smaller BF, I loved it this way. The O's achieved were better than any I've ever had. I liked it so much, that I bought a double sided toy, one with a smaller, almost finger sized, attached to it. But, after a while, I got rid of it. I still intend to buy another one, I just never have gotten around to it. It's funny that I ran across this thread...just the other day I was thinking how much I miss it. :wink5:
  2. Okay...I'm going to be the bad guy here. While I agree that if DH ever said, "Lose weight or lose me." I'd be filling up his half of the closet before the words were even out of his mouth. however.... I have a friend that is seriously in denial. If I were married to her, I'm not sure there would be any other way to get through to her other than threats. IF it's for the DH's vanity, then shame on him. But, there is a rare chance that it could be the only way to announce the wake up call that the wife needs. Maybe he's tired of her complaining she's fat while she eats a ton of ice cream, and he's done trying to help her in the more nicer of ways. Of course, I'm just throwing this opinion out there because I was reminded of my friend. Other than shaking her, I'm not sure what to do. I'd throw out an ultimatim myself, if I were married to her.
  3. Argh! I'm not doing well. I eat okay most of the week and then the weekend comes and I go nuts. For some reason I'm tighter than I used to be, even though I have lost a few pounds since I firsr posted on this thread. I find I can't eat more than a couple of bites - sometimes. Other times I can eat a lot more. I'm really getting frustrated and upset...ack!
  4. The head game stuff I don't like, but it's smart. I guess a little bit isn't so bad, but I was really disappointed last season and am hoping for an honest group this time.
  5. Doesn't everyone have one of those?
  6. Yep - Even I was wondering what was wrong with me, so I don't even want to know what the family was thinking. I actually found a new respect for him last night. I loved that he was like, "shut up and do it." That should be one of their signs. I actually didn't like her the first week - they were the ex-models sobbing about how guys don't ask for their number now that they're fat. But, I do like the green girl that's left on the ranch. Maybe I need to give them another shot. No! I hate hearing that, too. Maybe if they did a reunion show, and announced it up front, then people wouldn't gain the weight so much? I was wondering how Vicky's doing now. She had trouble getting up early and getting home late. I would bet she's letting the exercise go a little...and I wonder if that effected her weight loss yet.
  7. I was crying so hard! I didn't want either one to go home. Like Jillian said - they BOTH needed to be there very badly. But, I would have voted Jerry off as well. I was appalled that Dan's partner at home ordered 2 hot dogs and fries!!! What was he thinking?? I know the contestents don't know that part, but I was thinking Jerry would have the support at home, but Dan wouldn't. Also, the family he was with were all fat, and they were all at a fast food place. Makes me really think about my choices, and how people perceive me.
  8. That's awesome! How are you keeping up with it now? That's a great loss...good job!
  9. No, I didn't...and even though I'm slumping off now, it was still the BEST thing I ever did. I love my band!
  10. A lot, Are you a coffee drinker? I think I need to break my habit, since I have one a day, but it takes all morning to drink it. I can't help but think if I don't have that, then maybe I'd be getting more water in.
  11. That would be great! Is that the one at 1960 and 290?
  12. We are still on! Is 11am still good? And where would you like to meet? Anywhere in that area is okay with me.
  13. Good for you! I am so proud of you! It was harder in the first couple of days, but easier now. I am on day 4, since I did liquids for 3 days instead of just 2. I'm a little worried. I am filling up pretty quickly, following the rules about drinking, but I haven't lost anything. I also found a new love for cottage cheese. A friend of mine at work suggested I get my thyroid checked (it never has been) and so I'm going this after noon. One rule that I haven't followed, and it may be effecting the weight loss, is the Water. I cannot get that much water in. I drink teas, and propel, but plain water isnt' that appealing to me these days. How do ya'll get in the water?
  14. I re-watched the show last night (DVR) and started laughing. I had forgotten in the beginning the ex-models were crying because a boy hadn't asked for her number in months! Wow. Really? That's why you're at Biggest Loser? To get a date? I think she's the one Jillian said needed severe emotional help, in addition to weight loss help.
  15. Vicki, I actually agree with you 100%...that's why I am anxious to see how he does. I am suprised others on the show aren't talking about the unfairness of it.
  16. A lot - that's awesome! I'm so happy for you that you're listening to your tummy and getting FULL, not stuck! That's great stuff!!! Okay, I just got home after being in court (family matter that kinda sucks right now.) I had a shake for breakfast, egg drop Soup for lunch and am now home and having another shake. I know I'm supposed to be on to softer things, but I am too tired to make anything. Although, I was very excited because the egg drop soup did fill me up quick. We were at a Chinese restaurant and I WANTED to eat all of what my mother had, but after the soup I didn't want anything else. So, I think the last couple days have really helped!
  17. Lurking .... muah-ah-ah..... (that was my evil laugh).
  18. Mac, you're hooked! Admit it! I have never seen Big Medicine...when is it on? I know I'm excited to see what happens to the wls guy. I also thought some of them could have dropped bigger numbers. I watched it last night with a friend of mine who was like, "No way...I'd walk out." But, I would love someone in my face, screaming at me to get back on the treadmill. I'd be yelling right back, but I'd get back on it. And, I really like Jillian, because she addresses the "why are you fat" question to her team. Also, the commercials came on for 24 fitness and my friend said, "Who is that girl?" I explained that it's Ali Vincent from 2 seasons ago! I love that she's still working hard at this.
  19. Amen! I'm fired up after the Biggest Loser. And, I made that shake with the cheesecake pudding, peanut butter and milk. OMG....Although, I only had chocolate protein powder and it was good.
  20. Okay, but they x-ray'd his stomach and showed it was small...like an egg. And, the doctor was saying that he never lost all the weight. Just some, then re-gained that plus some. The doctor also showed that all the fat was still in his liver, and around the heart. I guess maybe he lost some, but not enough exercise to shed the rest of it? I know the show is, in the heart, just another reality show. BUT. I watch and get inspired. I don't snack during it, and I use it to remember where I was, where I am, and where I want to be. I love this show, and I hated the back stabbing that went on last season because it distracted me from the real reason I watch it. I'm glad it's back on track, with weight loss being the focus. For me, it's the best fat person show out there. What other show on TV allows America into the psyche of the fat person? We're not just jokes anymore, we're real people with real issues, and for me this show hits home. That's why I like it.
  21. I can't wait, either! I have the front page of last week's US magazine on my fridge. Michelle looks great, and so does Ali, still! I'm so impressed. I can't wait to see tonight's show, and assess (sp?) the players. I really am hoping there isn't any drama like Vicky from last season. As much as I love to hate, I'm hoping for inspiration this time.
  22. Yes, Tyanna! We can do this! Sometimes I mentally slap myself and ask: Why did I get the surgery just to ruin it? I was doing this for me, to lose weight and be happy. We're doing it! Day 2 almost down. I've never looked so forward to tuna from a can before. I think I'll mix it with cottage cheese, because I'm a mayonaise girl. I never thought 5 days would be so tough, especially after the post surgery diet.
  23. I'm so glad you posted that! I saw that the other day and wanted to do it, then lost it! I may try that tonight, when I'm hearing the snacky stuff call to me. The thing is, I don't have too much snacky stuff at home, so when I get the munchies I start getting creative. Then, the next day, I wonder: what was I THINKING??? I ate WHAT???
  24. So, my first day on the 5-day pouch test went okay. I didn't want to go with the cream Soups, but ended up having 2 soups for dinner. I know it's in the rules, but I was trying to stay away from it. But, by the end of the day I was sick of broth and Protein shakes. This morning I had some Ginger tea - kinda OK, but a little weird. Ginger and garlic are supposed to kick start your metabolism, so I'm trying it...we'll see! Now I'm about to have a Protein shake. I think today's better. My worst eating habits are at night. I watched the Tostitoes Game last night and really wanted CHIPS! (Damn subliminal advertising.) I need the most help at home, when I'm bored. Does anyone else get triggered at night-time? What helps you stop it?
  25. Wait...I guess I'm confused. I thought we were talking about legalizing prostitution in AMERICA - you know - that place that supposed to separate church and state? What would God do...? Who knows? How do YOU know what God would do? Just live your life right and God will judge you how YOU lived. Not how moral you got on some website, after having WLS. Hmm...thinking....Gluttony (sin, right?) I'm guessing God wouldn't have reached for that 5th HoHo. We should make HoHo's illegal. (Dear God, the above was a joke, don't bring the lightening - again.)
