  1. 5 days was hard enough!! But I think I will keep this "reset" in my back pocket for my next stall. The holidays are coming, so I imagine a reset will be in order at the end of the month for a couple months in a row.
  2. oops! I think that should be "Good job, folks" dont'cha think?
  3. the liquid week made my restriction back to how it was in the beginning Kinda nice to have that back!

@@gpmed As you lose the weight your self esteem and confidence will go through the roof...so just take it one day at a time and take care of yourself, and you will be amazed at how great you are going to feel. When one door closes, another door opens. This time is all about you, and you are worth it. All the best to you.
  5. I'm 6 months post op, and I had some shedding at around 3 months, but my hair still looks great. Still long, and still thick. And I'm really happy I wasn't one who had the hair loss issue. That was a fear of mine as well.
  6. @@Elode you're a skinny b*tch aren't you?! hahahaha! Looking good girl!
  7. No "bashing" here either. I have my opinion as well. I trust my Doc too, and I am also healthier than ever. I guess that's why we are all different. Life would be pretty dang boring if we were all the same.
  8. Stalls happen. I just had my 6 month follow up, and Doc put me back on 5 days of liquids (pre-op diet). Sucked, but it broke the stall. I realize now why I stalled, and this may not be why anyone else did, but I was eating mindlessly again. I have a big ol' barrel of pretzels in my kitchen and I would eat a few every time I went in there. No telling HOW many simple carbs I was eating. Lesson learned. AGAIN. It is just a tool, and I am still an addict that has to be diligent.
  9. Yep...What @@Dub said. I agree. There is no way we sleeved folks are getting enough nutrients. For sure at first, anyway.
  10. What are you planning to have to eat in the way of solid food on the first day after the liquid fast? I am thinking about breakfast, and I'm almost scared to eat. I really HATE being back in that mindset of a "dieter". I guess a scrambled egg would be fine. I plan to avoid simple carbs altogether, I think that was my issue that caused me to have to be on this liquid protein fast. I have determined I was eating mindlessly again (pretzels). UGH! FEAR THE PRETZELS!!
  11. Broke my stall!! Onederland............FINALLY!!!!
  12. I'm 6 months out, and my weight loss slowed down really bad. I met with my Dr for my 6 month appt, and he put me on 5 days liquid diet (protein). Or same as preop liquid diet. I've lost about 6 pounds in 3 days so far. He said this will jump start it. So, anytime I stall, I will go back to 5 days of liquids.
  13. @@maggie409 yep, I had to go Tuesday to Sams and bought chocolate and vanilla premier protein shakes. I have powders at home, but the RTD is just too convenient!
  14. I'm going to a KC Royals party tomorrow night...but I will have had all my protein by then and I will have my water, and that's it! I can do it!!
  15. I'm in. In fact I already started 2 days ago. Dr recommended it since I haven't lost as much as he wanted me to. 20 pounds in 2 months isn't enough for him,
  16. I'm at 6 months post op and stalled for 2 months. My surgeon made me go back to 5 days of liquid diet (ie:Protein shakes). It's working! I broke the stall and I am only on day 2. I lost 15 pounds on preop with this liquid diet. I may lose that much this week. It appears to be falling off again! Good luck!
  17. WOW! That is so quick! Congrats!! So happy for you!
  18. I had stress incontinence really bad. It went away at about 50 pounds lost. Thank goodness!
  19. I am not anywhere near maintenance, but I had my 6 month post op appointment today, and my surgeon was disappointed that in the last 3 months I only lost 20 pounds. He said I should've lost 40, (twice what I lost)...he contributed it to me not drinking Protein shakes, and trying to get in 60 grms in solid food. I haven't been reaching my protein goals for a few months evidently. So he told me to do 5 days of Protein Shakes (like at the beginning) to jump start my weight loss again. And after that I have to continue to drink a shake a day, so I get enough protein. Dang it! I thought I was doing well, but I wasn't.
  20. @@winklie Are you up to the stage where you could have chili? Chili is my "perfect" food. It has the Protein, the Fiber, and some veges (I use onions and peppers in my chili). I eat a lot of chili. Well.....not at one time, but I have it more often than anything else.
  21. I miss salads too. I'm 6 months post op, and I still don't eat salads. They just take up sooo much room, and there is no room for Protein if you eat a salad. and...there is really no nutritional value to a salad. At least iceberg lettuce salads. Spinach has nutrients. But, for me to keep losing, I need protein. So, protein first, and no room for salads. It's ok. Its a small price to pay to get small and healthy
  22. yep! I used GENEPRO unflavored with Crystal light.
  23. @@winklie I'm worn out just reading about your day!
