  1. I could barely walk due to knee pain before my surgery. After my knees are good but I do get a lot of pain in the back hips & tailbone area now. I have gone to the chiropractor and it has helped some. He said that due to losing weight some things shift out of place occasionally because my joints and bones are used to supporting the big me. I blame the tailbone for not having as much cushion as I once did.
  2. I hit my first mini goal I set for myself!! So excited. I lost 54 pounds since surgery & 50 was my goal. I was afraid I was losing to slow but my dr is pleased and says I'm doing well. The big plus was all my blood work came back good so I'm getting all the vitamins & nutrients I need. Somethings have been a struggle but well worth it
  3. My nut told me to buy the flat out breads to make a pizza on. They have like 9 grams of protein in them & I have made them for dinner. Very tasty but I couldn't even eat half of one lol.
  4. I am now down 34 pounds since surgery. I think it's kinda slow & should be more. My surgery was April 3rd. I am definitely under 400 pounds now which is great but was hoping for quicker results. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I am so afraid I am one of the ones that the surgery isn't going to help.
  5. . I made spaghetti squash & it was actually really good. Slightly different texture than past but didn't make me think I wasn't actually eating spaghetti which by the way is my favorite meal!
  6. I was sleeved on April 3rd. I just got a stomach bug that has been going around work. The dr prescribed me anti-nausea meds before I was discharged from the hospital. I have not thrown up at all until this morning. Now I'm afraid to eat anything. When I drink I get nauseous and the dry heaves but nothing comes up. Does anyone know if I would be ok to take the meds? I just remembered about having them now.

    diet pepsi lovers?

Haven't had any diet Pepsi since April 2 and I am REALLY craving it bad. At a lose on what to do
  8. Good luck!! I lost 30 pounds before surgery & 30 after so far. It's hard but you can do it!!
  9. Finally got weighed today. Friday got messed up so it didn't happen then. Well the verdict is I lost 4 pounds since may 6th. Kinda bummed with the low number but still excited I'm losing if that makes sense. I was sleeved April 3rd and have lost 30 pounds since then.
  10. Being able to ride amusement park rides take a walk with my daughter on the beach fitting into a booth at a restaurant shopping anywhere I feel like it & not having to use the electric scooter! There are many more but those are top on my list
  11. I'm going to get weighed tomorrow. I'm kinda nervous. Hoping I still am losing and not in a stall. I have been following the plan for the most part but I did have a couple bites of my husbands ice cream last week. So far everything has gone down great & nothing has came back up. This will only be the third time I have been weighed since my surgery on 4/3. So far I have lost 26 pounds & hoping I can add to that soon. Sorry for the rant just feeling nervous.
  12. I am also extremely tired. I am 5 weeks out. I just started back to work today then went to my daughters softball game straight after that and am totally played out. Not even the energy for a shower tonight so that will wait until morning. I am really hoping once I get back into my routine I feel more energy. I am getting at least 60 grams of protein in a day and taking my vitamins but still physically played out.
  13. Tonight was my daughters prom. After we went to see all the kids my hubby thought we should stop to eat somewhere. Well I ordered a grilled chicken salad. I had about 4 bites then I felt awful. I don't know what it was with the salad but for at least an hour afterwards I had pain in my stomach & then gas. I made sure I had chicken in every bite so I don't know what caused it. The waitress did look at me weird when I asked for a to go container and the manager came over to make everything was ok. 7 weeks ago I would have ate the whole thing plus the bread that comes with it lol.
  14. Walmart had it. It was what my dr suggested I use and it was tasty. Even my picky family enjoyed it.
  15. I actually made pizza last night for dinner using the flat out bread. It has 7 grams of protein in it. After I added the veggies & turkey pepperoni & low fat cheese mfp said it had a total of 32 grams of protein!! I even sprinkled a little unflavored protein powder on it after the sauce for a boost. Of course I could not eat more than a third of one but still was really good & set really well in my stomach.
