  1. Im the exact opposite I didn't talk about my decision with anyone but family and that way if they did get tired of me talking about it they would say something ha ha I also don't think you will have Popeye legs
  2. it all depends on your insurance and surgeon there is no timeline for anyone really i didnt need insurance approval it was covered I had it done and that was it! good luck
  3. Im a week post op and I used to love Water now I can barely stomach it same thing with my Protein shakes
  4. There are surgery month support groups and some facebook pages on here but I think your on the right track by asking hopefully this fantastic community will have answers
  5. really they're just asking you a bunch of questions to make sure you know this surgery is just a tool and that yo have support in place to help you just be honest and you have nothing to worry about Good luck

It was so hard for me after about 11 days and Im having surgery tomorrow i called my doctor yesterday told him i was dizzy sick weak and told him i needed to eat something so I had a salad and felt much better sometimes you have to talk to your doctor and just check in but it does get to a point when surgery is finally here and all you can do is be excited good luck
  8. I get dizzy when I am dehydrated and thats preop! Make sure your drinking enough and if your still worried call your team thats what they are there for good luck and congratulations

  10. I lost 15 pounds in a week on an all liquid diet maybe you can try that! Good Luck and Congrats so far
  11. you could talk to your program specialist at your surgeons office and ask them what insurances they deal with most and result in covering bariatrics
  12. it really just depends on your surgeons plan! I can add in like yogurt and cottage cheese after 7 days of liquids but everyones plan and body is different. you are doing amazingly keep tracking your in vs. out and walk walk walk congrats and welcome to the losers bench i'll be there with you soon

  14. Im not a sleever but On a few videos i watched on youtube they recommended alcohol sugar free chloraseptic for after surgery because their throat was in severe pain so I plan on taking a bottle just in case CONGRATS on your journey
  15. don't stress we all mess up sometimes forgive yourself and move forward with positive thoughts

I wish I had the courage when i was 20 to take on this journey im 29 and just about to go into surgery on friday and my only wish is that i had done it sooner and not let myself get so out of control in my relationship with food. you have a whole lot of us here that will support yOU!!!

I would say it really just depends on you and your tolerance for pain any surgery is going to hurt and it will take your body from what i have read about a good month to be feeling functional again. some people follow their doctors orders walk a ton and feel good after about two weeks so best thing to do is follow your plan and be strong good luck keep us updated!

I know there is a june post op page but it's from 2013 and very hard to go through all of those messages looking for support from people just going through the surgery although we love the veterans and all their wisdom sometimes you just want to talk to your graduating class about how things are going!!! congrats class of 2014 ha ha let's stay in touch here and post questions and answers and support each other im also considering making a facebook page so let me know if that would be something you would enjoy for the group. this page is for sleevers and bypassers and banders of june 2014
  22. to be honest it got better after day 3 for me but i failed myself today by eating 4 crackers and cheese pieces of a lunchable i was so dizzy and weak and everyone said it would be okay but i know if i can help one person make it through by saying trust me its not worth cheating then i will feel better stick to what your doing i made it 5 days without cheating and will make it the next 5 days before my surgery!!! WE CAN DO THIS!!!! GOOD LUCK

  24. Hey all Im scheduled for next friday June 6th and have been on a liquid diet since monday I am pretty darn proud of myself i only ate 1 fruit snack not a whole pack but one fruit snack and a cracker but since that slip i have been holding strong anyone else on the 6th?!?!
