Hi everyone!
My current insurance plan doesn't cover bariatric options, so I'm paying out of pocket for my LAP-band surgery. My coverage ends on June 30th (less that a month from now) so I need to shop for new insurance. I've tried searching sites like Anthem and Humera, but I find them hard to navigate. I want to make sure my new plan covers bariatric and mental health. So what should I do/where should I go to find a personalized plan for myself?
I'm 29 years old, no spouse, no dependants, I'm a student. I'm currently paying $375 a month for my plan. Which is rediculously high, and I'd like something lower, but if that's what I have to pay to have it covered, than so be it. I work student jobs, so my employer doesn't cover any insurance.
Do you guys know of any sites or specialty plans that I could look into?
