First Fill
I finally had my first fill today. It went very well. I found out that I lost 60lbs since I started this whole process. I am very elated right now and the my doctor was happy. He asked me how things were going and I told him that I was kind of hungry in the last few weeks that I was noticing that I was hungry between meals. So he said hop on the table and lets get you some fill. He was awesome. I only felt a prick of both needles. I really do not think that he had to numb first because he was so quick. He did indicate that since I had some restriction after surgery that this 1cc might be a little aggressive so if I was getting anything stuck to call him right away. I am not expecting that but nice to know. Had to drink a glass of Water but did fine and on liquids for 2 days and mushies for 2 days and back to real food. My next fill was scheduled for 1/30/08; which stupid me forgot that I will be in PA on a buying trip for my store. Anyhoo! Overall a great experience. Did I happen to mention that I love my band!

Road to "TWOterville"
Hey everyone! I have been on LBT for a while and have not seen this thread. So glad I have. I started my weightloss journey at 358 on August 23rd, 2007. As of late last week, I hit 299lbs. Down 55lbs and very much loving my band. I have gotta admit that the holidays have not been easy to get through with all the off plan eating. The number nights eating out and parties, I just can't wait until it is over. I go for my first fill on 1/3/08 since my banding on 11/6/07. I am so ready for one. I hope to be down another 3lbs by then but I am not holding my breath with 3 more parties over the next 3 days and then New Year's Eve. I think that I will do Protein shakes and small protein Snacks for Breakfast and lunch and save my calories for my parties. One good thing I haven't gained any weight at all...just staying the same and would love to keep it that way. Congratulations to all of you and great weightloss. I have loved reading your posts. Cindy

Nymphs..How did you do today?
wntolose) We were banded a day apart and lost about the same amount of weight. We must be on the same schedule for needing a fill. Kind of funny! My fill is next week and I can't wait. I haven't gained or lost anything in the last few days and I am very happy with that. As matter of fact, we have been eating out alot due to how busy my store has been but I have been trying to make good choices and I actually split all the meals in half when I get it. Today, we had lunch at the Olive Garden; which was really a tough choice but I just had 1/2 of everything and I felt fine and not overstuffed. I found a cool website Calorie Counter, Diet Tracking, Food Journal, Nutrition Facts at The Daily Plate that gave me the nutritional information on the meal that I ate and I stayed within my calories. We are all winners here and we are doing awesome. Just remember this is a lifestyle change and we are going to make good and bad choices for the rest of our lives. It is how we bounce back from the bad choices that matters. Cindy

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!
I am with you Sades. I over indulged today and feel like crap. However, this is a lifestyle change and we are going to over eat more times in our lives; it is how we handle it after that is important. We just can't let this sabotage our efforts and get right back on the bandwagon tomorrow. We can do it! I agree a fill would be nice. God it is another week away for me. It seems like forever. Cindy

Nymphs..How did you do today?
Hey November Nymphs! Merry Christmas! How did everyone do staying on plan today. I must admit this was the first day that I actually strayed off course since being banded. And guess what? I feel like crap tonight. I guess I am not used to all the sugar I put into my body. I am not beating myself up about it; I just resolved to get back on track tomorrow and follow the plan to the "T". Can't wait for my fill on the 3rd, I am starting to get more hungry between meals so I know that I need a fill. So how about you? Did you do all right? Post your ups and downs, we are here for you. Cindy PS: Oh yeah! I met my New Years Goal a week early and hit below 300. Yeah...a Christmas NSV Gift for me.:faint:

Kristin- Look at the ticker, you are doing great. I too love all us November Nymphs too! I would love to start a thread that tracks how much weight we are losing as a group. I think that it would be awesome to see how much weight we have lost all together. I am sure it is a lot. I have an NSV..I own a country store here in MA and all my customers cannot figure out what is changing about me. Usually they ask if I have done something different with my hair but then they say that boy you are looking younger. I finally break down and tell them that I have lost 53lbs. they are like wow it is amazing how much younger you look. I just love that because in a few weeks, I will be turning 40 eeeek! This Band was a gift to myself for being overweight over 35 years and wanting to change my life for next 40 years. Did I mention I love this band.

First Fill
Yeah! Actually my Doc's card says 12/3/08 but the fill clinic is on Wednesday, so I need to call and clarify but in either case I can't wait. I have been really getting more hungry this last week and having to diet to keep weight melting off. Glad to hear that you are doing so well. Loved the story about the family. How cute that you fell asleep with your oldest son...very sweet. Are you all set with Christmas?

First Fill
Cag- I am impressed! I wish I had the will power to do that. However, I am such a fanatic that if I missed the PATS, I would be going through major withdrawals. I have a funny story, about 4+ years ago we opened our little country store and we decided that we would not open on Sunday's. Our motto: God Family Football ....That Order! Funny thing is during the Christmas season we are the busiest so we did open in December only. I had a little TV in my office so that I could go in and check the score or during a slow spot watch the game. Hubby was good because he would call me with the play by play. To this day, I have the TV in my office just for Football. Now, I not only watch the PATS but we are such hard nosed football fanatics that we watch football from 1pm until the late game. As matter of fact, I will be watching your boyz game tomorrow night. I do have my football fever in perspective though because God does truly come first in our lives.

Kat- Holy Smoke! You have been through an ordeal. What I like to see is your attitude. It has not swayed you against the Band. Keep up the great attitude and you will be successful in no time. Best Wishes. Cindy

Hungry
I feel for you. I am six weeks post op and I just starting to feel more hungry since surgery. I know that it is time for a fill but I am not scheduled until 1/3/08. I can't wait and hopefully it will help even just a little. I know it is hard because I am having to diet through this phase until I am at restriction but it is worth it and I am still losing very consistently. Hang in their guys and don't beat yourselves up. Just jump back on the wagon as soon as you fall off. Remember this is a lifestyle change and forever so you bound to not make great choices all the time. It is how you handle it. Keep your chins up!

First Fill
Hey Cag- Did you weigh in today? How did you do? Left you a message in the "A November Nymph is 50lbs Lighter" thread but didn't hear from you. How is the new baby doing and your family? Are you getting any sleep? I hope so. Your family is so beautiful, you are blessed. I have 3 boys, 14, 13 and 10. They keep me very busy. Also, what happened to your boys on Sunday. I guess Romo can't have any girls at the game to distract him. Keep in touch! Cindy

First Fill
Ok...guys I am so jealous. I have to wait 2 more weeks before my first fill. I am definately getting more hungry. I was able to eat breakfast and not get hungry before lunchtime but now I am needing a snack between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner to stave off my hunger. However, I am still losing. Lost 3 lbs last week and total of 10lbs in two weeks but it is through working the diet. I know I can make it especially coming on LBT for support.

Second Fill...
I am with you Wendy, my first fill is not scheduled until 1/3. I had lost kind of quickly; so at my postop appt my doc didn't schedule me until January. I am starting to get hungrier especially this week. I am having to diet through until the first fill. Kandi I think that sometimes it takes multiple fills to feel restriction. Also, sometimes the fill doesn't kick in for a few days/weeks. Good luck...it will happen.

Congrats Cagstorm! You must feel so excited. I have been putting off buying new clothes because I want to lose a little more prior to buying some new things. I really need some new tops because I am losing weight from the waist up at this point or least it feels that way. Here's to having to buy new clothes!

A November Nymph is 50lbs lighter!
Hey Cagstorm- You getting any sleep? How's the new baby and your wife? Hope all is well. Now, I can't update my signature because the batteries died in my scale and I and my hubby keep forgetting to get batteries. It is really killing me to know. We did get them today so tomorrow morning I will update. Things have been slowing down for me and I am getting a little more hungry than I had been; so I guess it is time for a fill. I am scheduled for 1/3/08 so I hope that I can do well until then. My goal is to lose another 5lbs by New Years Day. I hope that I can do it because this will be a very big milestone for me. Under 300 for the first time since my 3rd son being born so about 10 years or so. I have three boys 14, 13 & 10 so you are well on your way to keeping up with me with regard to boys. Funny thing is none of them plays football. They decided that they like the Patriots so much that they did not want to miss the games on Sundays if they played. They are baseball players. I have got to admit that I do not care for baseball as much as football. Congratulations on the Cowboys 11 player Pro-Bowl picks! The Pats had about 5 or so. My boy Brady, Moss, Mankins, Vrabel, Wilfork & Light. What happened to your boys on Sunday? Cindy (aka Hollie) PS: Hollyberries is the name of the Country Store that my husband and I own in MA.
