  1. I had my first fill on 1/3/08 and am feeling restriction. I wasn't sure if I had restriction or not but can tell you what I am feeling must be. This is what I ate today: Breakfast 8:00 am: Weight Control banana Nut Bread oatmeal. Very Full! lunch 1:00 pm: 2oz. chicken breast w/1tbsp of Light Mayo, 20 almonds & 9 All-Bran crackers. Very Full! dinner 6:00 pm: on a very small plate beef & broccoli, 1 beef teriyaki and small chicken finger. Comfortably Full! I am hoping that I will be able to eat a small piece of my own birthday cake but I don't wan't to push it because I have been overstuffed after my meals. So I guess that I am experiencing restriction. I expect it to be short lived but it has been a week and I have lost 4lbs. Cindy
  2. Thanks Longhorn! You beat me to it. LOL Cindy
  3. Wendy, Don't beat yourself up! You may wake up tomorrow and see 2lbs gone, you never know. I know how discouraging it can be. Take yesterday for me, I was up 1lb but this morning I was down 2lbs. I think TOM was to blame for me but even though I weigh everyday for accountability, I don't let the scale get me down if I don't lose or gain a little. I do have a suggestion...you may want to try to weigh everyday and write it down. Then at the end of the week average your weightloss; you might be surprised that you are actually losing consistently and this can take into consideration weight fluctuations daily. Best wishes and we are here for you. Cindy

  7. Way to go, Cag! Down, down, down...that's the way we like it. Cindy
  8. Sades- That is what I am trying for today. I am cutting everything in half. I think that you maybe right that I may be feeling restriction and don't know it yet. I am still unsure what my body is telling me. Before the fill, I was able to eat 1 cup to 2 cups of food so I was assuming if I went to 1 cup it would be fine. I am going to see how today goes with the smaller quantities. I don't feel as bloated this morning and I lost 1lb overnight. I am going to take it easy and let my body dictate what I should be able to eat instead of what my diet plan calls for. I agree if this is restriction than I am very happy that I got it on the first shot. I know that it will be short lived. Thanks a bunch for the words of wisdom. By the way, when is your next fill? Cindy
  9. Ok...I had my first fill last Thursday. I was on liquids for 2 days and diced Protein and mushies for 2 days. Well, last night I ate dinner which consisted of 1 cup of Chili, 1 oz. of cheddar cheese and 1 tbsp of sour cream and 1 slice of deli ham while I was preparing dinner. After I ate, I was still feeling a little hungry so I grabbed some more ham to fill the whole. About 1/2 hour later I was so dang full that I hurt. I didn't feel sick to my stomach or anything just really full. Like I had eaten a whole turkey dinner with all the fixings and dessert full. I felt that way for hours and could not even drink my Water. This morning I ate Breakfast which was Weight Control banana Bread oatmeal with 1/2 scoop of powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Protein powder and a 1 tbsp of honey. I couldn't finish the bowl because I was full. I ate lunch today which was leftover chili (1 Cup) with cheese and sour cream and was very full. I was not hungry for 6 hours after eating and was very bloated and uncomfortable. Then it dawned on me that maybe the Beans in the chili were wrecking havoc with my stomach. I was not able to eat to much for dinner because of the bloated feeling but ate protein. I took two Mylanta's for the gas & bloating and am drinking water to kind combat this. Anyone experience this type of feeling after the fill or is this just a case of eating way to much chili. I just hate this full bloated feeling. Thanks for letting me vent and helping me figure this out. Cindy
  10. Steph- What is the ActiTrainer? Is it website that tracks your activity or is it something you buy? I would be interested in something to track my activity. Once I start to get active. LOL! I have a membership at the "Y" but haven't been able to get there lately due to my schedule. We are so busy with the opening our 2nd store and I am going nuts. But very interested in this ActiTrainer thing you speak about. Thanks a bunch, Cindy
  11. Solaa- I had my first fill on 1/3/08 and I was banded on 11/6/07. Don't be nervous you will do fine. Mine was a piece of cake and I didn't even feel anything as it was so quick. You will do just great. Best Wishes! Cindy
  12. Hey Foofy- We are going to update on Thursdays and you will see a new thread with Weekending 1/10/07. Just post your update on that thread. Congrats on your loss.
  13. I kind of know what you mean about our DH's. I love mine to death, he is my best friend but in the romance department he isn't that romantic. However, we are going to PA for buying trip for our stores at the end of the month and we will be gone a week without the kids. I am looking forward to some us time. Even though it will be busy, we will have quite a bit of down time so hopefully we can reconnect. Funny thing is now he knows how much I weigh and he does love me for who I am because he married me when I was overweight. I weighed 260lbs when we met. When he proposed which was on Valentines day in 1990; I decided that I was going to lose weight for the wedding which was in October 1990. Well, I lost about 40lbs and got to 220lbs and was a size 16. It was the thinnest I had been in as long as I could remember. Even now, I can't see myself lower than 220lbs. My goal is 175 but I am going to lose until I feel good. I will let my body dictate my final weight.
  14. Wow! Step, you got them coming in all circles. You rock! Keep up the great work. Cindy
  15. Cag, Isn't it great! Just love clothes NSV moments. I can't wait until I can shop in Wal-mart for clothes. I haven't been able to do that in years. I am probably at that point now but I am holding off as long as I can because I want to reach 100lbs. before May! Then it is a whole new summer wardrobe Baby! Although, I am starting Water aerobics at the "Y" and I need a bathing suit that fits. The one I got is way to big now. I guess I will have suck it up! What a boring weekend without football for my Pats. I am sure you felt the same with no Cowboys. Not sure that I like my game next week with the JAGS even though I am confident that we will probably beat them, I just wish we were facing a team that is less explosive. However, you got beat the best to be the best. So I am sure that we will beat the JAGS; it will make for a very interesting game. I think I will have be a football party Saturday night. They had better win because it is my birthday and I am turning 40. That would be the best birthday present this year! Keep up the great work and I want to see the ticker symbol go down; it hasn't changed in a while. Cindy
  16. That is such a great goal to look forward too! Have you anything planned for your Anniversary? This would be a good time to plan something special. Maybe a quiet get-a-way. Once I reach 275, this will be a milestone for me because it was the weight I was when I was beginning to have my children. I remember not wanting to tell my weight to the hospital in front of my husband because I did not want him to know how overweight I was. Now, my oldest child is 14; so that is a long time. Also, the 60lb milestone was big for me because I have never gone beyond 60lbs and maintained it and with my Band I know that I am going to pass 60lbs and keep it off. I am looking forward the 3/4 quarter century mark with a aggressive passion. Mini goals are great for motivation aren't they. Good luck! Cindy
  17. Well...once you get to normal food my doctor has the following plan. Between 1000-1200 calories per day (7 Proteins, 3 veggies, 2 fruits, 2 fats, 2 starches). My typical menu might include: Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs 1/2 cup of applesauce Lunch: 2 oz. diced turkey or chicken with 1tbsp of lite mayo, 9 All-Bran Multigrain crackers, 10 almonds and 1/2 banana Dinner: 3 oz of meat (i.e., chicken, roast), 1/4 cup of sweet potato & 1/2 cup of green Beans or broccoli and 10 almonds. I really like chili and make and eat this very often. I will have 1 cup of chili with some cheese and sour cream. This fills me up. I do not eat between meals since my fill and am finding that I am full until my meal. However, I know that I need a fill when I start to get hungry between meals. Good luck with your surgery. Cindy
  18. I got one! I got one! I got one! I got one! This morning I put on a pair of size 28 jeans. I haven't been able to get these over my fat stomach for many years. Well, I thought I would try them because I am done 60lbs. Mind you I started at a size 32 (very tight). Imagine my surprise when they went over my stomach and zipped up without having to lay on the bed in contortions. I must admit a bit tight but I can sit and not feel like my body is cut in half. I am so elated right now. Size 28 and goodbye 30 and 32. Never to see again. May we all have happy jean moments in the future. Cindy
  19. I track my food everyday regardless of being good or bad. I like sparkpeople.com the best but like The Daily Plate for nutrition information that I may not find on sparkpeople. I don't the activity tracker on sparkpeople so I haven't actually done that. I start going back to the gym on Tuesday; so I am looking forward to finding a better activity tracker. Any suggestions anyone? Cindy
  20. Sades...I agree with you. Deep or not there is always flouro. I would suggest talking with your doctor and telling him that you want your first fill that you are hungry and need to get to restriction for the band to work. My starting weight was 358 which is a lot more than you and I had my first fill. Granted my port is not deep; actually my doctor prefers to put the port more to the surface because it is easier to get the fill in and he doesn't want to use us as pin cushions. Granted I may need to have the port repositioned in the future but I like that he is thinking about his patients comfort. My fill was a piece of cake and did not hurt at all. Which I am grateful for. Good luck and please stand up for yourself you deserve to be on the way to losing with a bit more restriction. Cindy
  21. To all you Valentine's Day Challenge Nymphs! I had an idea. I am going to start a thread every week that you can post your weekly weigh in until we get to Valentine's Day. I will have the thread read "November Nymph Valentine's Day Challenge Week 1 Update". This way the updates won't get lost in this thread and I want everyone to read it through to see all the successes. If anyone has a better idea let me know because I want to make it easier for everyone. I love small challenges because it easier to look at than 118lbs. Do you agree? Good luck and the weight begin melting.
  22. Wow! 13 people already joining the challenge. We are all very motivated. Just update your totals weekly on here. You never know who you will inspire by reading this post. Start your engines and lets get moving.
