  1. @Freemommyx4 praying that you have speedy recovery my sleeve sister. Stay strong!
  2. I'm with Babbs the most pain I had was when I woke up in recovery on the right side where my largest incision is. After that first day the pain was tolerable.
  3. @@conrad1 I was nervous, scared, etc. A part of me felt I was being vain as I had no comorbidities. I prayed about it and let God handle it but I was ecstatic when I woke up in recovery. The second day I asked them to remove the catheter so I could walk. I wish you the best tomorrow and please keep us posted.
  4. So far so good. I do not see where low BMIers post stats, results, saggy skin, goal weight, etc. Guess I will start. SW:201 Surgery Weight:192 CW: 177 Hoping to lose 30-40 more pounds. I'm going to see if I can resume exercise at least on elliptical or stair climber. It's been challenging getting my fluids in Protein is no problem. I was sleeved 12/08/2015 so still a newbie. Let me know if you have questions I will try to answer.
  5. Just keep sipping, the liquid leaves your stomach faster than even soft foods, so you can drink a little more than you can eat. Mine was the 9th, I keep an insulated travel cup with me and sip all day. For migraine we can only take Tylenol. My nurse suggested coffee for headaches, even if it's not a caffeine headache she said it can help. If you get migraines regularly it might be worth speaking to your surgeon or PCP to find alternatives, it may be that having NSAIDs occasionally is worth the risk if you're suffering. I used to get terrible migraines, I had partial numbness, lost part of my vision, then horrendous pain. It stopped when I was pregnant and never came back. Feverfew is a herbal remedy that can prevent migraines when taken daily? Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk Thank you. I will research Feverfew as I never heard of it before. I will follow up with my PCP as I was taking Imitrex but weened myself off prior to the procedure and did not have a migraine for three months.
  6. I love OTF but I have my membership suspended until I can begin working out again. What time is the class you are attending? I discovered if I attend a morning class I had energy throughout the day and slept well but an early evening class kept me awake at night. I can't wait to turn Orange????????????
  7. I had two Goddess French braids and I loved them.
  8. Awesome progress! Looking good
  9. I was sleeved on the 8th. I am able to get my protein in but my 64oz of other fluids is a struggle. I sip every 15 minutes in between meals and protein but I have to sleep also. Having a migraine the past few days didn't help but neither did the extra strength Tylenol. If you have migraines what do you take since Aspirin is not allowed?
  10. Flinstones Complete its chewable and has the %daily value for iron. I love chewing it, it's my daily sweet (I know that's bad????). Interesting how surgeon's instructions are different as we were told no gummies
  11. Prayers sent up for you and your son. May God's hands bless you, bless all of you.
  12. Congratulations!!! What an accomplishment
  13. Agree God is good all the time and there are constant struggles in life that we must overcome with the help of Him. Please say a prayer for me and vice-versa.
  14. @ hope you are recovering nicely. Wishing you a smooth recovery. Get some rest and update us when you can.
  15. Glad she's doing better @kimdlawsin06. Wishing a smooth recovery!
  16. I'm very cold and I'm 8 days out. I use to be the one walking around the house and going outside in shorts. Lately it's been 60 degrees and I'm freezing.
  17. I had my first BM today after taking Milk of Magnesium yesterday. A little over a week since my procedure.
  18. I'm feeling better. Yes I agree every surgeon has their own approach. What was his rationale for week 4? How are you feeling?
  19. I had my follow up today as well. The drain was removed and I hadn't had a BM either. My doctor told me to take MOM as well and that if I was passing gas everything is functioning. He said he wasn't too concerned at this point. I can start soft foods this Saturday. I can't wait to taste some soft scramble eggs.
  20. Thank GOD, I got my drained removed today! The clouds went away, I started singing, and the sunshine filled the sky. It was it REFRESHING!!!!
  21. I have a drain that gets removed this Wednesday. It's really uncomfortable but not unbearable. By the way my surgery was 12/8/2015.
  22. I'm so sorry I thought it was after Christmas not before. Depends on how you feel. I'm 4 days post op and if it wasn't for the drain I have I would probably be out shopping.
  23. Prior to going to my in laws I cautioned them that I was not going to eat a lot as I gained weight and really needed to cut back. No one questioned my eating or drinking habits Thanksgiving day and we had a great time. I also made it a point to help with fixing everyone else plate until what I ate they didn't notice. I say go for it and enjoy your family time!
  24. My procedure was on the 8th of this month. I remember waking up in recovery and feeling the worst pain ever. I looked to my right at the gentleman and told him "it hurts" next thing I remember is waking up in my room Wednesday morning. I didn't have overbearing pain at that point and I was able to walk laps on the floor and use my spirometer. Since I've been home the pain I feel is in my back due to sleep position and discomfort where the drain is in place. I wish you the best on your upcoming journey. There is a lot of knowledge on BP.
