  1. @@sbrainwater you summed it up. I was too tickled reading your post. What I have tried to do is take a break from researching any information in regards to the procedure because my "what ifs" kick in. My surgery date is December 8th and the closer it gets the more my emotions run wild. Wishing everyone the best!!!!
  2. Collierville, TN representing. Anyone else near the Memphis area?
  3. Why no December 2015 sleevers in the Memphis area on the site? I want a sleeve buddy too....lol
  4. Anna I am praying that you overcome your struggles.
  5. Congratulations Elode! Your story and journey is so inspiring!
  6. Thank you all for your support and phrases that I could use to give a response. With that being said I moved my surgery date up to December 8th. I am so grateful that I found this sight and appreciate the insight from everyone!!! xoxoxo!
  7. I'm December 8th, 2015 also! I'm from WI having surgery at Froedtert in Milwaukee. Good luck with everything!!! ????I was scheduled for December 14 but moved it up to the 8th. I'm scared, excited, nervous, etc.
  8. Time sure do goes by quick. Glad to know you are both doing well. Looking forward to seeing progress pictures. Keep up the good work!!!!!
  9. Yes you sure did!!! I am glad to know that you succeded and conquered. I am weight loss resistant and I have put forth the effort to lose the weight. I am so glad I found this forum and individuals who are/were on a similar journey. That goes a long way in helping me feel good, stay encouraged, and looking forward to achieving success.
  10. What is a mark solved? I tried to vote that I liked both of your comments but received a strange response. I thank both of you for your words of encouragement I did get some strength from them to move forward.
  11. Thank you both!!!! I'm not sure why their words bothered me today maybe it's because I'm tired of the individuals (strangers) that I encounter at my doctor visits say "I though you were post-op or why are you here". I really try to refrain from the interaction to avoid the stares or questions but I understand everybody is excited about their journey and want to share their experiences. Thank you both and you are correct I should not let the lack of knowledge by others discourage me or care what they think.
  12. After attending the nutrition class a woman siting across from me said "I've been looking at you the whole time you are small why are you getting the procedure". I responded and said "it is a personal decision". Then the lady next too me asked "have you had your psych evaluation" I said "yes" then she asked "what did he say". I responded "nothing but I don't think no one's decision can trump the surgeon's". I am so upset and no one knows my struggle. I am tired of people placing judgment and questioning my decision with the procedure. I am so disappointed and really need some support right about now just because I don't look like I have a BMI of 36.6 I do based upon my height and weight.
  13. Speedy recovery @@sleever54!!! Can't wait to see your progress pictures!
  14. Glad to know things are progressing well. How much walking are you getting in on a daily basis? Did your doctor leave in a drain? I'm so glad that you are posting updates. Thank you!
  15. I haven't had the procedure yet but wishing you a Happy Birthday!!!! Hoping you feel better.
  16. So happy to hear that you are on the road to recovery. Stay strong and positive!
