tdc,

How exciting! Please keep me posted on how you are doing. As my date approaches I am excited and nervous all at the same time. What about you?

Conrad1 I am both also. But now I am also just ready for the day to come. It seems like it is just dragging along and taking forever.

I started at 202 and im down to 174, the best decision of my life. The first week is the hardest then after that it gets easier. Im loving it.

Hi all,

I am 5'2 & my BMI is 35. I too have 55-60 lbs to lose. My surgery date is Tues Dec 8th. I would love to stay in touch. I'm supper nervous but excited. Good luck to everyone.

You sound like me and we have the same date.

My surgery is Dec. 9th. I'm excited but nervous. I am hoping to lose 60 but my goal is 80. Good luck!

I had my surgery on Thanksgiving. Starting BMI was 29, and my goal is to lose 50 lbs. Since my post op diet, I have lost 17 lbs. It is pretty amazing! I know my weight loss will slow as I get closer to my goal, but I am loving it! Right after my surgery and the next couple of days afterward I was questioning why in the world I would do such a thing. But my recovery has been super quick, I just haven't regained my energy. My 9 year old daughter didn't see me for 4 days when I had the surgery done, and when I returned she kept saying that something looked different about me. After a couple of hours she said, "You look thinner!"

I technically wasn't given an amount. I'm down #40 in 6 weeks. My goal is 40 more. My doc felt I'd lose about 70 -/+. I barely met the 40 BMI requirements to begin with

How did DR and insurance approve you with such a small amount too loose.? I am not taking the want/need to loose 60 lbs lightly. I just know what I had to do and I have 1

90 lbs to loose.

@@MsMe I am 5'2 with 36.6 BMI and surgery is tomorrow. How much have you lost during pre-op?

I only have to do pre-op diet for 2 days. Seems so odd after reading on this site. I am trying to cut out carbs - maybe 8lbs. MsMe and Cutepretty1 - you are inspiration that I can do this!!
