I am 8 months out and I used to sweat really bad even in an air conditioned room. Now I don't sweat as bad but I have always been a sweater. This may be TMI but I used to sweat bad between my legs. Now I can go all day without my pants being wet. Loving it!

Oops I forgot to post I'm 46 years old, starting weight 215 at two week liquid diet and now 202.

I am 6 days post op and I had no nausea at all. Stayed one night in hospital then went home. Dr. said I am doing great! Had a gas bubble to get out but other than that I feel great and have been walking since I got out of surgery. This has been a great experience for me so far.

My surgery is Dec. 9th. I'm excited but nervous. I am hoping to lose 60 but my goal is 80. Good luck!

Rollergal, I am on day 3 of my two weeks of nothing but liquids and I am also gagging. Going to be a long two weeks. I'm hungry!

I am choking down the pudding. Yuck!

Hi TxStella, did you start your liquid diet today too?

Had my pre op appt. on Nov. 25th and my Dr. said I could start my liquid diet today. So yay, I had thanksgiving yesterday. Today and until my surgery it's liquids only. Going to be hard but so worth it in the end. Shits about to get real!

I'm scheduled for surgery on December 9th. I started my pre-op liquid diet today. Not too hard yet but just thinking about no food worries me. I want this so bad so I will do the work to get there. Just remember if you don't shrink your liver they might not do the surgery. And if you don't practice eating like this now, you may end up not losing like you want to. Good luck with your surgery and stay focused. You can do this!

Mine is Dec. 9th! So excited to start this new life too.

LOL! Rough is right but I will be with my family so I guess I can sip my shake while they eat. Can I spike my shake?

I am starting my 14 day liquid diet on Thanksgiving...OMG that is four days away!!! I'm excited but afraid at the same time. I just hope I can eat sugar free popsicles during this time.

I'm so excited! My surgery is scheduled for Dec. 9th but I'm supposed to start my 14 day liquid diet on Thanksgiving. Anyone else starting that day?

I gained 8 lbs. in two weeks and it was my last appointment yesterday. I have Anthem Blue Cross of CA so I hope they don't deny me because of that. I was also on steroids for 5 days for walking pneumonia. My NUT was not happy about the weight gain.

I just finished my last NUT appointment yesterday. I also have Anthem Blue Cross CA and can't wait to hear something!!!

Thank you all for your information. So I guess if I stick to the program I will be ok. But I know life throws challenges at us sometimes and it might not be possible all the time. Good luck ladies!

Do you mind if I ask how old you are? I am worried about my face. I've seen people that have had the gastric bypass and the two people I know look a lot older in the face now. I plan on getting the sleeve in a few months but don't want to end up looking older than I am. I'm 45 but everyone thinks I'm 35.

I am going to have the sleeve surgery in a few months. I'm wondering if you gain the weight back after 3-5 years. Do the old hungry feelings come back? Can you eat as much as you did before the surgery? I plan on following the eating plan and exercising the rest of my life but I don't want that really hungry feeling and be able to eat myself sick in one sitting EVER again. Can anyone give me some insight or your experience with this?

Someone told me to have my gallbladder removed during the sleeve surgery. They said it will go bad in a few years after my surgery. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this? I am going to ask my doctor at my next appt. but it's not until Sept. 23rd so thought I would see if anyone on here has heard of this. The person that told me had the lap band about 3 years ago and apparently her gallbladder had to be taken out a few years after the surgery.

Good job Newstart38! I have lost another 1.7 lbs. since I last wrote. I've been doing a lot of cardio. I know I'm supposed to be maintaining but also want to show my NUT that I can lose a few pounds.

I have to maintain my weight to be eligible too. My NUT also looks at my food log and calls me out on things I shouldn't be eating. I hate to say it but sometimes I don't put down "exactly" what I actually ate just so I don't have to hear it from my NUT. I do try to stay around 1500-1600 during the week and that seems to be working for me. This past month I've been hitting the gym and eating the same and I lost 4 lbs.

I also am in the 6 month process. My last nutrition appointment is Oct. 7th. I'm so excited! Hopefully I will have surgery in late October or early November depending how fast insurance approves and how fast I can get an appointment. Hang in there! It seems like it takes forever but it eventually gets there. I really don't have to lose any weight during my 6 months due to if I drop below a BMI of 35, I won't be eligible (through insurance). I am at 36 BMI now. I have been practicing with the new way of eating and I exercise 4-6 days a week so hopefully I will be ready when the time comes.

I get a little nervous so I always ask for something to calm my nerves while I'm waiting for the surgery. They shoot me up with something that makes me feel so good and I don't have a care in the world.

I was wondering if you lose a lot of hair after you get the sleeve. If so, is it noticeable? Also at what stage does this happen in?
