@@pinkbunies, Hi there... My answer to your question is yes. I am recently seperated from my husband due to my choice of having the surgery and the effects it makes on our daily lives. Hopefully you will not find your self in an unfortunate circumstance such as mine, but in the end the weight loss is worth all the change that comes with it. Even if it is sacraficing someone you love, somtimes you have to make a choice for yourself. The important people will grow with you and support you unconditionally. Best wishes to you.

Start as soon as you are cleared to Exercise from your surgeon. Start slow and ramp up as your stamina and abilities improve. I lost most of my weight by just walking 2 or 3 miles a day sometimes only 1 mile a day. I didn't even join a gym until after I made my goal of 100 pounds down.

Currently I am on a schedule four days on and one rest day and then it starts over. I cycle between upper body cardio and lower body For a period of 12 weeks. Then I'll take a break for a week or so and start back up again December 1.

I am 22 months out from VSG surgery and 105 pounds down and still losing.

So today marks one year since my journey started. My HW was 303 and my CW is 201. I went from a size 24 to 14-16. This journey has been very bumpy and emotional for me. I've had some good days, and bad days! I haven't lose any weight in months and it cause me to get stressed out. I started slacking in my exercising, and eating stuff I had no business eating because I'm a emotional eater. I feel hunger all the time now, and I find myself eating way more than I could before. I even gained 9lbs back... Which sucks!!!! I don't have any energy anymore. I've sat down with my nutritionist and she recommended I go back to the basic to get back on track. On a positive note I thank God that I've come this far, and I'm going to get myself together mentally so I can lose this next 50lbs. Here are a few pictures of my journey.      

I reached my highest weight of 293lbs on January of this year. I was devastated and could no longer identify myself. I was obese, unhappy and pretty much depressed. After college I found myself so heavy and gain a over 100lbs since high school. I never would have thought it would have been me. I knew this surgery was my only way out. Understanding that it is just a "tool" I began working out, eating right and completely staying consistent with my plan. I have had some slip ups and the road was not easy, but to be down 100lbs and it has not even been a whole year is insane. I workout just about every day, the thought of not being able to work out makes me upset. So many people have noticed and I am getting compliments left to right. I have about 30 lbs to go and I will be at my goal. I am beyond excited to enter in the new year with a new attitude. This has been the best decision I have ever made for myself. I just completed my first half marathon. It was great. I finished in 2 hours 9 minutes. I am down 130 lbs since January. I feel blessed to have this gift and enjoy it.

I HAD NO IDEA IT WAS GOING TO BE SO PAINFUL. I mentioned this to the nurses right after surgery and they said almost all bariatric patients say that.

I had my surgery on Monday everything went well; but I'm still in the hospital trying to get my blood pressure down.... Man it was rough sore and groggy! Yesterday I had to eat liquids everything 15 min sure is different and no laying down. Walk Walk Walk.. New life pray I get my pressure down and go home!!

Mine makes me feel so much better during the day. I didn't even realize how tired I was! The sleep center set me up with a machine ..my insurance had no problem paying for it. I do have a small out of pocket but it wasn't bad

I was a little weary at first, especially having had the lap band fail the first time around. But getting the sleeve was the best decision I have ever made for myself. I have never been able to look in the mirror and like what I see, until now who knew I would ever like to be in pictures?!
