  1. I almost posted that myself haha
  2. I'm still on my puréed foods, but there are sometimes it just seems to feel sore, lots of gas I think, but it takes forever to eat small quantities unless it's something very smooth like baby food. Tea and liquids I don't have much problem with either. Tonight I think I ate one bite too many and had a puke attack or dumping and I just don't know where that sweet spot is yet and many people say that it's too soon to tell since I'm still having nerves come back in my tummy Honestly I think it was dumping! I got sweaty and nauseous and felt miserable
  3. I think chili is the perfect food...fiber and protein! And it tasted yummy
  4. My puréed list has things on it like malt o meal, cream of wheat, yogurt, mashed potatoes, any meats are to be puréed/blended with broth/gravy and then eaten...so hard to even think of eating meats puréed...lol I'm too picky
  5. I just now realized I have an incision there...so I'm thinking the culprit has been found lol
  6. I also think my weight loss has my fat belly sitting in different spots now...can't wait til my beach ball belly is gone
  7. Haha! If it hurts don't touch it, right. I freak myself out and think "oh no it's a leak" or something like that. I think the first 11 days I was still numb. Even some of my incisions were still numb up until today. Now my tummy is waking up or something...nerve regeneration.
  8. I had sleeve even with reflux. Turns out it was a hiatal hernia that was causing the issues and it was repaired during surgery.
  9. I've tried things like mederma and they never made much of a difference to me. My mom has always sworn by popping open a vitamin e capsule and using that.
  10. I know I can make myself crazy diagnosing myself with things so I will ask here... Anyone else notice tenderness when pressing on tummy about 12 days post op? I haven't taken any pain meds for 2 days now and don't know it that was masking it. I pressed lightly over the area where hiatal hernia would have been repaired and it is definitely tender, not excruciating, but I wouldn't want to be punched there
  11. My doc prescribed dilaudid since I'm allergic to Percocet...it made me sleepy! Honestly, I didn't have a ton of pain.
  12. Anyone else try new foods and get sick and vomit afterwards. My goodness, I don't know if I ate too much or my tummy didn't agree, but I spent the last ten minutes or so with my head in the garbage can...
  13. I love pb2 chocolate on apples...can't wait til I can add fruit back in my diet
  14. @@Pamela870 I tried the premier Protein and it was awful lol...I sound like grumpy cat. I honestly have such a hard time with protein. Most of it makes me want to gag. I could chug them pre-op and not taste them as much, but now post op I have a really hard time getting all the protein in. I'm eating greek yogurt and milk and things like that, but it's still not 60 or more grams a day
  15. I'm up north in lake Stevens. Maybe we could all meet in the middle somewhere. I still don't have a ton of energy, anyone else still tired?
  16. @@mefosburg @@auntjanny I'm eating baby food fruits, mashed potatoes and gravy, taco seasoned refried Beans, malt o meal, and yogurt so far. I honestly don't know how other people can purée food. I just can't eat puréed chili or Soups even, when I had jaw surgery a lot of people actually puréed McDonald's and other foods....sounds awful to me
  17. I'm sorry to hear all this. I had braces and jaw surgery a few years ago and was told that my jaw bone is very thin, but she was able to put screws and plates in without having to harvest bone from my hip. Are there any other oral surgeons/dentists you could see? I'm wondering if bone grafts would help? My grandma lost her teeth at a young age, I believe in her late teens or early 20s and she said that dentures are so painful. My sister is a dental assistant, I will have to ask what she thinks would help ????
  18. I had gerd/reflux and was told by a previous doctor that I didn't have a hiatal hernia, but what do you know, the surgeon found one and repaired it, no more gerd for me. I chose the sleeve even if there was a possibility that I'd still have it, I was thinking that life with tums or PPIs was better than being morbidly obese for the rest of my life.
  19. I'm hoping you wake up with relief! It really is a strange sensation not having the acid feeling. I have pics of the hernia...pretty big hole, glad it's sewn back up
  20. No change for me yet...I've read some gals start their periods very soon after, but I guess some don't...
  21. Today my hubby told me "you are looking so much skinnier" and that's at 11 days post-op!!!!! I'm excited! I can't wait to reach goal, even when I hit stalls, I will have to remember where I started. My highest weight was 337 a few months ago. I wanted to crawl under a rock! I haven't weighed since Monday, but even then I was 304. That's 33 pounds! Woohoo!
  22. I wish I could get on at Apple....I have applied so many times
  23. Stephanie I have had Gerd and knew there was a risk of it being worse with the sleeve, BUT after my hiatal hernia was fixed, I am having no issues with heartburn or reflux. Honestly, it feels so calm in my throat now lol. I normally would need antacids everyday and didn't start a PPI until a few days after surgery, which would have been awful had the hernia not been repaired.
  24. Thank goodness you are finally done with it all! Yeah!!!! I'm doing a happy dance for you...and I don't dance lol so it's a crazy one!!!
  25. Walking helps a lot! I burped a lot, but didn't pass gas at the other end for about 5 or 6 days.
