  1. We will have to keep in touch!
  2. DS is the gastric sleeve with rerouting of your duodenum, so it causes malabsorption. You could certainly eat garbage and lose weight with DS as I've seen others post, but that still wouldn't be good for your body. DS has a very high rate of malabsorption of nutrients and many are on vitamins/supplements besides just a Multivitamin, Vitamin d, Calcium and b12. Which are Vitamins have taken for years. How is your eating any different with DS? You still have the same size stomach, right?
  3. I'm going to PSSC in Edmonds, surgery at Evergreen
  4. The steristrips should fall off on their own.
  5. Oh my gosh! I am getting so freaked out and have the what ifs!!!! Surgery is monday and I have read different blogs and sites saying the sleeve is bad etc etc....please help ease my anxiety especially about leaks!
  6. I'm having surgery on 9/22 and would love to be in the next book ????
  7. Interesting...I've never thought of pumpkin in a savory way before. Sounds like something to try for thanksgiving. I should put this on my to-do. Thanks
  8. Ooh like an overnight oatmeal but with chia! Sounds awesome! Thanks
  9. Gallbladder and liver I suppose. At least that's what they looked at on mine
  10. I'm asking for anyone here that has found any that fit low carb pre-op diets and are decent. I haven't found that many decent ones or I wouldn't have asked.
  11. I'm totally craving pumpkin everything right now....send me some amazing low carb recipes please ????
  12. @@jenn1 How strange! Wonder if my neck will hurt haha
  13. Who knows it could be the Zoloft I keep forgetting to take ... Oopsies
  14. My throat was on fire after the endoscopy and I slept the day away after. I'm not going with that surgeon anymore, but it felt like my throat was raw
  15. Mine was just twilight anesthesia...not fully asleep
  16. So this is weird to me too...I'm so cold. Has anyone else had this happen on pre op diet? I'm eating 40 grams of carbs per day or less
  17. I didn't notice a change on the scale until day 5...but of course I go super low carb and then miraculously have a period! I hope that after surgery I have tons of babies lol
  18. I know this may sound strange, but I've been on my low carb pre-op diet a week today, and I have some body aches and I'm wondering if anyone else has/had them as well?
  19. I asked my surgeon about bougie sizes and he said they are more or less a guideline to prevent cutting the wrong areas. He has heard of surgeons actually cutting the stomach in half...how awful would that be! He also said that whether it is a 40 or 34 or whatnot it won't be that exact size and a surgeon who uses a 30 could staple the same as a 40. I would talk to your doc...and honestly from everything I have read on here...you are still swollen
  20. I was told after 30 days of starting regular foods it is ok
  21. Ugh! I just looked and there's no paid version!!!!!! Please remove ads or put a paid version in AppStore
  22. It's awful! I'm tempted to delete it and just use my browser
