Drinking & Eating
Yeah it's one side effect I get from it...and heaven forbid I try and get off the stuff! If I even miss a few days I can feel it..headache, brain zaps (at least that's what people on forums call it), nausea ugh I want to get off it someday

Support from Mom isnt that supportive....
Thank you for your kind words! I really appreciate them. I come on here for more support than anything else. It seems a lot of people have saboteurs and unsupportive people in their lives.

Drinking & Eating
Know it's a NO NO, but I don't really use condiments on things I eat so even a mini sandwich would be dry, like lunch meat, a sandwich thin, and lettuce only. Do any of you take small sips if you eat something dry? I already have a drier mouth due to Zoloft, so I'm trying to figure out eating without Water lol

Support from Mom isnt that supportive....
I wish she would go to AA or even a treatment center. She has been drinking heavily for about 10 years now. Even a DUI didn't scare her into sobriety. I tried to have surgery in 2012 and my weight went up with all my "food funerals" and she thinks I won't make good decisions. I have had 6 months of nutritional counseling this time, and I've lost some weight. I'm focusing on low carbs and I have had pizza once in a blue moon, but last night I told myself no more. The surgery is going to be a tool to help me eat less and focus on quality not quantity. My husband ordered a dominoes pizza and I made my own zucchini pizza instead. I had one piece of cheese bread and are my yummy dinner. It just makes me sad that people say "exercise more" "eat less" and you don't need this surgery. I am a food addict and always will be, but I want this to help me be a recovered food addict if that makes sense.

Support from Mom isnt that supportive....
So my mom told my sister that having the sleeve will be such a drastic change that I won't be able to handle it and she doesn't understand why diet isn't working for me. I'm just frustrated. I thought my mom was supportive but I guess she's not. She lost 100 lbs a few years ago, BUT she gave up food and transferred her addiction to alcohol. She still eats lots of sugary foods and counts fat content, which doesn't work for me...I'm happy she lost weight, but sad that she doesn't support me and that she continues to drink.

Fitness tracker opinions
I've never used one running so I'm not sure. There's nothing like using your fingers and checking your pulse though...it's free lol The bodybugg does more, not sure about heart rate, but I can't wear it since the sensors have nickel in them and I'm allergic

Spicy instead of sweets?
Once I'm not really eating sweets, I notice that I have been eating spicy foods and using herbs/spices like never before. Anyone else do the same?

Breast downsizing
Hahahahaha omg that is hilarious...just what I need!

Breast downsizing
Not sure what my issue is, but I can't stand underwire anymore. I think after too many broken poky wires and them not fitting well even after being "fitted" has ruined me on underwire lol

Birth control?
I hope so! I'm 33 and want kids more than anything. Had a miscarriage back in '03 and gained a lot of weight over the last 11 years. Haven't gotten pregnant since, but them again I don't have regular cycles, extra weight=insulin resistance=fertility issues

Fitness tracker opinions
I have a fitbit and love it. The charge lasts about a week and it seems to be pretty accurate as it tracks the same amt my cell phone does. Easier to have a fitbit than carry phone in pocket all day. I have used the sleep tracking a few times, but usually forget. My sister bought the hot pink, and I bought the lavender one so we swapped bands since my wrist is too fat for the regular size band for now.

Breast downsizing
I think it depends on brand and what I wear but ddd is an F cup and I could fit into some Gs. We are the same size almost...don't you hate them. I can't cross my arms well, when I eat I have a built in plate rest lol

Breast downsizing
I think after having saggy DDDs for so long that hurt my back even less than perfect smaller lifted boobs would be a relief. I don't care if I still have to wear bras and can at least get a decent strapless or convertible bra to hold them up more. It's just too much of a pain having such heavy boobs. My back hurts and I quit jogging back in high school, running with your arms in front of you to stop the bounce, even with 2 sports bras on doesn't work very well

Breast downsizing
I hate having to wear a bra with some shirts...so getting a lift at some point. My sister had 2 kids and just got implants and a lift...they are amazing! I want nice boobs lol

How much weight did you lose on pre opt diet?
I finally got tired of waiting and called the insurance company myself and they said it was approved. So I called the wls office and gave them the info they needed. Somehow the insurance company didn't send the right papers over

Breast downsizing
I am a DDD and have always had bigger boobs...I'm wondering how much other ladies have lost in this area? I'm going to have a lift someday, probably after having kids, but I would just love to buy a bra that isn't a huge old grandma bra. If I remember right I was a D in high school already...ugh the horrors of running in PE class...and then as I gained weight they just kept growing... My sisters teased me that it's because we used to do the "we must we must we must increase our bust" exercises HAHAHA

Help Please! Sleeve in Mexico?
I agree! I am loving salad, steamed zucchini, and chicken breast with Montreal seasoning on it! Hubby and I have been using the George foreman almost every night.

Why are some weight loss surgery patients so clueless?
The first surgeon I went to was very basic nutrition info and a lot of foods suggested were high in carbs which I never realized until I went to the surgeon I'm at now. I was told by previous doc to drink 2-3 Protein shakes a day and lean cuisines/weight watchers meals for preop. The frozen dinners were high carb as well! This doc I'm with now is going to have me do 3 weeks preop diet and 40 carbs or below a day. No shakes if I don't want them, just carb free food, chicken, veggies, egg beaters etc... I only ever would have had one or two followups. PSSC in edmonds, wa has a 2 year followup program with nutritionists, fitness trainers, psychologists, and the doc. They really want you to succeed. They have many years of experience and from what I have researched are one of the only places that have followup care like that.
