Lets Talk Gas...

Hey fellow sleevers! I am 3 days post op and have not passed gas yet?!! My belly is so bloated and tender! Anyone experience these issues? Also, I am terrified to sleep on my belly! Am I being a little ridiculous? Is it OK to sleep on my belly?!! Let me know your thoughts and advice! I really appreciate all insight!! Be well!

I am 3 days post op as well. If I rock while on the toilet it helps. I also got Mylanta maximum strength chewable tablets. They work awesome.

Walk, walk, walk! I'm RNY patient but it is all that helped me. I was in such pain in the hospital and I told my husband he had to drag me around no matter what. It helped so much.

Walking helps a lot! I burped a lot, but didn't pass gas at the other end for about 5 or 6 days.

Keep walking and ask your doctor if you can have chewable Gas-X. That did the trick for me!

I had the same issue. I didn't start passing gas until a few hours before discharge. It's as uncomfortable as all get out but the walking does do wonders! GOOD LUCK & HOPE YOU'RE FEELING BETTER!
