Vegas newbie here...dr. atkinson, dr. Soong's partner did my sleeve on December 18th. I'm going for my first follow up appt. on new years eve. Hoping to get to move to soft foods soon but their nutritionist suggests nothing you have to chew for 3 weeks. I'm getting tired of shakes and Soups. I may never have another Soup after I get clearance to move up.

After my husband's surgery we bought weight loss surgery cookbook for dummies. It has some good recipes.< /p>

Okay so I was really upset about the scale on Monday. Well today I could do something I have not been able to do in years. I can wear my wedding ring. I have to remember the scale isn't everything

I went through my closet yesterday. I'm not going to have a lot to wear next winter.

I don't know how to upload a picture from my camera to hear. The company is IPS,based in CA. I get them at my local health food store in las Vegas. I can post more info when I get home and have the bag in front of me. They do have corn flour in the recipe as well. One ounce is the whole bag. They have a bbq, white cheddar, cinnamon and one more flavor I don't remember. The cinnamon did have brown sugar so I skipped that one. Well be trying the cheese one next week.

So far I have mixed luck with eggs. I can handle scrambled with little pieces of veggies. A friend who also had sleeve surgery found some granola bites by About Time. I was worried about adding fruit to my diet because of the sugar/carbohydrates. I feel like I need some more chewing and Fiber so I'mm not so hungry and maybe the bathroom won't make me so nervous..lol

I haven't done any pictures yet. The doctors office took one of the last picture of me before surgery. I'm excited to go to his office tomorrow for my one month appt and to get weighed. Today was hard because it was my first party since surgery. I did ok but not great.

I don't want any one to get upset by this...I just find it ironic that you guys are giving suggestions about ways to Celebrate an upcoming birthday drink and my next "birthday" I'll be celebrating its my sober 17th birthday in a few weeks...lol. I find it funny. I wad thinking and how do I celebrate mine....lol

This week, I can get on my wedding ring after many years of not being able to wear it and today I broke the over 180 bubble. I am 180.0, first time in I can't tell u when, at my highest I was over 210. I will need to buy new jeans as mine are way too large, even had to had a new hike put in my belt

We are in this together. It's great to have the support. I am 6 weeks post op, I think. It took a while to be able to drink as much as they wanted. Have you tried hot liquids? They relax the pouch. There are some delicious high Protein hot chocolates.

I went through intense crying haha post op. I don't know if others went through it, but was told that it could be related to hormones, giving up my friend-food obsession, meds missed post op-anti-depressants or a combo. Just know that this too shall pass

Unfortunately, I don't work full-time so money is an issue. I am looking at the multi-generational center.

We buy it online from Bariatric Advantage but there are also some places I can get it close by. So far I have had chocolately chocolate. There is also chocolate raspberry and chocolate mint. I like the mint but haven't had the raspberry yet.

Carol Ann, you had your surgery a day after mine. I have fibromyalgia which flared into back pain that has caused more problems than my surgery thus far. I am working towards my doctor's goal of 90 oz of Fluid and 90 grams of Protein per day. Glad I have someone thought around my surgery date. My husband and my best friend also had the sleeve, one a year ago and one two years ago. Seems recommendations are different even though we all had the same doctor. Good luck.

But I am worried that it was not enough for you. I am also worried about the 'just a bite of muffins, just a bit of cookies'... comments.
Overeaters anonymous is free. I am10 days post op. I am still in the "thick liquid" stage I guess. I can't wait to have something besides soup!! First follow up appt. is New Year Eve when the PA.
