  16. Yay! That is awesome Kiap82..It is amazing how good those things that feel so good and that thin people have never even thought about... just tieing our shoes, crossing our legs, seat belts...etc..etc... Shellvsg, that is very interesting. I think there is a lot of truth to what you are saying, but I feel like I'm going to gain weight if I go off of what I am doing. (Head stuff)...But I totally think you are right!!! Cheers to you both!!!
  17. Hey VSG, You and I have the same surgery date and close to the same numbers...Keep up the good work!

  21. Caligirl....Make sure you are drinking all your water (64oz) getting enough protien 60-80 Gr. Vit. and exersize...I think around 600-800 calories a day, depending on the amount of exersize you are doing...But keep in mind that we all lose at different rates. Keep doing the program and congrat's on losing 23 pounds!!

  26. YAY..... SEAHAWKS!!! I just had to say that.
  27. Good afternoon friends...Thank you AtlantaRed, Deez, Wombat, Sabrina, and Wendy for your answers and information.I REALLY appreciate it! I read just about every word that the "Brighaman" had to say...I wish I could of read it day one after surgery because I have made a few mistakes..Oop's! Oh well...I have learned so much just being on this site and all that you have to say...Thanks ...Thanks.. Thanks.Deez, so glad you are doing so well now. Well I am off to buy a scale (food scale) and to the gym. Have a amazing day friends.
  28. Hello All....SabrinaMarie I too am kinda in the dark about the after surgery process. I don't have a NUT or any after surgery instructions for after the first 4 weeks. I am doing the bouncing around on the scale 1 pound or 2 and have not lost anything for awhile. My question to everyone is: Do you include the calories from your protein shakes into your daily calories and how many calories should I be having each day? My protein shakes are about 280 calories, for 60 gr protein. I have been eating lots of chicken breast and cooked veg's. Yogurt, and chicken soup.I kinda feel afraid to eat other foods. Because I think I won't lose weight if I do...I walk just about every day and going to the gym starting Mon. Congrat's to everybody on doing so well.
  29. Dee, I hope things are going better for you.... Prayers for you!
  30. I would like to be on the list too...Dec3rd surgery
  31. Happy New Year fellow Dec. Sleevers...Cheers to feeling good and healthy!
  32. Hi Robin.... I too have had problems with the acid reflux, so I have been taking a antacid morning and night and that has helped. Plus make sure your not drinking Water before you eat. I was told to try to drink 64 oz. of water a day...Good luck
  33. Gamergirl ....Thank you very much for your reply> People set carb limits differently but the recommendation for those who are insulin resistant and carb addicted is to divide your protein/fat/carb ratios into 40/40/20. For me, at an 800 calorie diet that's about 80/36/40 gms respectively. I say anything under 50 gms is good for low-carb sleevers, but I'd be interested to hear what others have to say on this topic too.
  34. Soooooo.... As I sit here reading all this information and eating a "Yoplait Light" I notice it has 16g of carbs in it...At the risk of sounding stupid, how many Carbs are ok to eat a day? I had surgery Dec.3rd 2013.
  35. I had surgery about 3 and a half weeks ago...I am drinking protein shakes, yogurt, and clear broth with a few crackers in it. First question: Is it ok to stay on Liquid for a longer period? # 2 Does anybody have any good ideas for pureed foods?
