When did you feel normal again?
It took me a good 3 months to feel like myself again. Not only is your body adjusting to the lower calories, but your recovering from a major surgery. Be patient, it gets better! A year later and I have never been happier.

Queefing
Queefing is like when air comes out of your vagina... usually it happens during sex cause air gets pushed in there. I just am wondering if the huge weight loss is why I've been getting this feeling during the day not specifically during sex

Queefing
Ok, so I am 1 year out and have now lost 107 lbs (Yay me!!!!) But along with all the loose skin I've noticed I've been queefing lately, and not during sex. ... am I alone?

5'4 and 265 starting weight...anyone else?
Those were my exact stats! I'm now at 3.5 months and down about 67lbs and in Onderland. It's been a good ride so far. I really need to get on the excercixe train, but excuses and legitimate stress has made it hard.

Biggest regrets about getting the sleeve?
Just remember 2 months is not as long as it seems. That weight loss is AMAZING! You don't feel it yet because you are still recovering. It wasn't unil I was about 10 weeks out that I felt like myself, and felt better, and lighter. Hang in there, you're gonna turn a corner soon!

Anal sex and will it cause damage
A first this sounds good, then all I can think is how fast does it relieve constipation.... Talk about killing the mood. To the OP: My boyfriend and I were oraly intimate 4 days post op, and vaginal shortly there after. So at 5 months I can't see any problem if your in the mood. TBH (tmi warning) I've been too drained over all for anal, as it takes more effort lol. ENJOY!!!!

Brain Stall
So last night I think I woke up from a brain stall. Brain Stall: A period of time where your brain stops registering your weightloss The last few weeks I have felt like a fatty fatty two by four. I know part of the reason was I had only been losing 2lbs a week and then one pound. I was starting to feel those old helpless feelings again, the ones that plauged me in every diet I have ever attempted. I almost started to believe this was it. As of last friday, May 2nd, I had lost 56 lbs and I was 208, a weight I havent seen in 4 years. I couldn't see it. I could barely see any of my success thus far. It was disheartening, Then last night I saw a reflextion of my self that I hadn't seen since Highschool/after my 1st year of college. Even better, I look skinnier now than I did then because all of my weightloss is in my face and waist up. It was a big lightbulb moment for me. This is working. My body dreams are coming true.

Friend said she's disappointed
It's one thing to express concern or fear about a friend having surgery, but for her to get on a high horse and say she was disappointed.... I wouldn't count her as a friend. I had a minor issue when I told my best friend, and she lashed out, and told me she didnt want me to do it, and then accused me of doing it because of hating myself and stuff. I had to tell her that I thought she was projecting, and that I made a choice based on my health that was rooted in a medical solution after research. She has since apologized and been supportive. Again though if I had gotten that response, I'm not sure where our relationship would be right now. Kudos for you though, for handeling it that way. I'm not sure what I would have said. Also, super congrats on your weight loss!!!!

Seriously Surprised
Ok, so last night I was up working on some make up assignments for my anatomy class. I suddenly had a craving for the raisen bran that was in my kitchen (My boyfriend and I are staying with his parents until we move out of state this summer, and believe me, that is one of the best things in the house that they buy for themselves) I decieded to induldge without reading the box. I had about 3/4 of a cup, maybe a little less. I figured, Raisen Bran is healthy and a old favorite, and a much better choice than frsted flakes. When I logged it in MFP this morning, my less than full serving had 30 something carbs!!!! WTH?! Ugh. Thats what I get for not reading the box. At least it has fiber!

Question about carbs
Also remember that gluten free has nothing to do with low carb, or no carb.

I stink!
I have this issue from time to time, and my BO is definately different than it was before. I have read that this is usually a side effect from ketosis. I just keep body spray with me to keep me feeling fresh. Have you tried the clinical strength yet? That may help.

ice cream....big mistake
I can eat a small amount of hard ice cream, but soft serve or more than 3 bites makes me feel like I'm dying.

Still miserable! When will it stop?
It took me about 5-6 weeks to feel like a human again.

Single digit sizes! (Pic)

Why am I still obsessed with food?
I don't keep crap in my house (I made one binge purchease of "diet" crap, like Fiber one brownies and the like and once that was all gone, I haven't bought more and don't intend too) because if I don't end up eating it, my boyfriend will and thats not helpful to his weight loss efforts either. My biggest issue with weight is self control, so keeping that stuff out of hands reach is a must for me. I do however have quite the food porn addiction. Sometimes this helps curve my craving for something and others it puts a taste in my mouth that I have to indulge (cut to my one pancake and corn muffin Breakfast last saturday). I know I need therepy alo wls process. I need it because I have an issue eating when or what I don't need to, and not stopping myself when I know i'll regret it. I also need it, because too often I feel shame for being human. Once the pain wears off, this is all one big mind game.

Any opinions about Paraguard?
UPDATE: Got my paraguard the first week of April. I had to go in twice, the first attempt caused a lot of pain, to the point of sobbing, so my doc stopped. I was given a drug to soften my cervix for the next time and they numbed me. The pills and numbing worked wonders! only a little cramping at inserstion. No complaints yet. This period has lasted a week, but that really isn't a big deal when compared to 9 years of protection. Thanks for all of your input, it was helpful!

It's the little things.... Tell me yours! :)
Crossing my legs UNDER my desk at work is amazing! My pink raincoat, that never fit right fitting without a problem, all of my work clothes being too big! For all of the challenges on this journey, it is filled with many joys.

is something wrong with me?
You look like you are doing amazing!!!!! I don't have much hunger either. Usually I just get head hungry. I'm still working on my food relationship. Enjoy that new relationship, it'll help you get through the harder parts. Again, Congrats!

Had to break down and buy new jeans!
I wish I could do this, I still find it hard/impossible to find my size at thrift stores. I'm just gonna be wearing baggy, frumpy clothing until I am out of the plus size range. Another option other than thrift stores is places like Ross, or Michaels. There stuff is cheap enough that you can buy a dress, or even a pair of pants every so many months and it's not a big budget breaker. Also, I am gonna be ALL about the sundresses once I get to a point where my pants are too big, but I don't want to buy new plus sized pants.

Can I drink from a straw? Six weeks post op
I found that using the straw lets me take in more Water (my biggest problem post op has been no enough water) I have yet to have an adverse reaction. Everyone is different though, and as far as harm to your sleeve, some surgeons have no issues with straws, so I doubt it will hurt you. Best of luck!!!
