Hi Porcl, I did post something on Monday, but .....it is gone.... Anyway.....we missed ya, it sucks not having a dependable sitter. What about your hubby? Wont he sit for ya? I went ot Dr. Kwon today and got my first fill. You are right, he is very gentle. I am feeling great, but this heat is killing me. I can't wait till school is out on the 24th, then I am off for the summer. Mauri's meeting was good, sorry you missed it. Hope to see ya next time... Keep Cool, and have a great weekend. Does anyone know where I can get the pre mixed Carb Solutions drink? I have been getting it from Hanafords, but they are out for the next 2 weeks.... Is there anything else I can use instead? I use it for my breakfast everyday. Thanks for any help. Porcl, I hope you are feeling better soon......I am still having major issues with the constipation.....:rolleyes

Porcl, I was about the same as you are after the first week, but like Eileen, I had tuna, and even egg salad in the bullet, with a bit of mayo. Barbara said it was no problem when I went for my check up. I am on soft stuff now....it really does get better. Hang in there.....even the s/f pudding is ok....

Hi Guys, I went to the doctor today, and I am feeling so depressed. I had surgery on 5/21 I have only lost 12 pounds. I feel like after being on clear foods for 3 weeks,I should have done better then this...... Jasper, I wish I had lost 50 pounds....wtg. Porcl......Glad to hear you are doing well. Liberty, I will also be at Mauri's on the 16th....

Janet, When are your stiches due to come out? Mine were removed after just 5 days, now I just have surgical tape coving the incisions. My port is above my belly button. I'm not sure if everyone is the same. I doubt you are in any danger. Take care.

hi Porcl, Talk about mixed emotions huh? Its all good hon. I was scared to death too. Dr Kwon was excellent....it was my first surgery ever, and I couldn't have been treated better.Also, Dr Heckman is the best. Are you going to Bon Secours? They take ya to OB floor.....that scared me in itself.....I am 52....LOL....hell my baby days are long gone. Anyway, I went to Bon Secours....they Treated me great....I was out of the by 4pm. You'll be fine.....Hope to meet you at Mauri's on Mon. Hugs

I had to have an EKG, plus a Nucular stess test. Cardio doctor wanted me to do a stress test, but being I was short of breathe all the time, he just gave me the nucular test....It wasn't fun, but over in no time.... Dr. Kwon coundnt figure out why the nuke test, since I had no pryor heart problems. Go Figure...

I called Dr. Kwon's office today......they told me to drink prune juice, and when I come in tomorrow the doctor will give me something.....No luck yet, just alot of stomach pain....

Thanks for the replies, I will get good ole prune juice today....yuk!!! But if it helps then what the hay. I am still on a clear diet, I see the doctor tomorrow, to get out staples. The incisions are so very small other then the port, that is bigger. I didnt take any pain meds, I really didnt need it. I did take this week off from work...hehee.....and I plan to enjoy every minute of it. Hope everyone is having a great day. Huggs

Help.....I am so constipated....anything I can take? Ughhhhhhh My tummy is killing me. Sorry to be asking this, but I honestly have no clue what I can take.

Everything will get better, I too was banded on 4/21,and yesterday, if you read my posts, I was freakin out too. I have alot of gas pain, but no gas.....LOL. Today, I drank some gator ade mixed with water and had a s/f popsicle....I feel alot better. Keep drinking fluids, and rest ....do what your body is telling you... You're gonna be fine.... Hugs

Hi Everyone, I am feeling much better today, thank you all so much for getting me through a rough day. I had a popsicle this afternoon, and some gator ade...what a difference. I went to the grocery store with my husband, as he picked out his weeks supply of T.V.dinners...LOL.... I think the best part of my day was getting a shower...LOL. Are any of you going to Mauri's support meeting tomorrow? Thanks again everyone... Hugs

I drank a quarter of a protein shake, that filled me up, but the gas is killing me. I will call the doctor on Monday....thanks so much....I dont know what I would do, with you all the input from here.

I was banded on Thursday 4/21 the doctor said water only till I see him on4/26...is there anything I could have besides the water? I'm hungry ...:notagree

Hi Becky, It is normal to be nervous, I was mental. It was a breeze. I am home, and sipping lots of water. I sometimes add a tad of apple juice with the water, thats what I had in the hospital. I was banded on Thursday morning, and was back home Thursday by 5:30 pm. I am looking forward to being able to shower on Sunday. I used liquid Tylenol when I can home, just once, and haven't had pain meds since. You will be fine, and we are here if you have any farther questions. Congrats on being banded..... HUGGS....Jorjet

Hi Everyone, Today is a much better day, I finally got a few hours sleep. I am feeling better, and other then being mentally hungry, I am doing better. I am going to go for a walk today, and push myself through these hard days. You guys are so great, and very supportive. Thanks everyone. Huggs.....

I got my lap band today, and I am tons of pain.....does anyone have their port, at the top of their rib cage? My bra lays on it.....of course I am not wearing a bra now, but it hurts like mad... Also....can anyone tell me, when taking liquid tylenol....do you swallow it all at one time, or sip....its nasty, but so is the pain meds.... thanks for any replys...

I am so nervous, I am sick to my stomache.....Tomorrow is my band date, and I am not sure I am doing the right thing.... I am so sick....I know I can do this, and I will.....I have to be at the hospital by 5:30 AM. I will keep you posted...

I have UHC too, it took 2 weeks....they are really great... good luck to u.
