Hey Becky, I have you on this list and on the main April 2005 Bandsters list. Look for some of the other folks getting banded on your day and see how they are doing, too! But don't worry, you will be fine and over it in no time. Perspective is everything, but if you weren't nervous, I'd be worried. What you are feeling is SO normal! Nervous one minute, excited the next, can't wait, dreading the day, back and forth...I personally got tired of being anxoius about it and just wanted it over with so I could quit doing that! Rest up and get all of your errands run so you won't have to worry when you get home. You won't need to be thinking about much else but you for a bit of time. You will be a bit distracted by the keeping up with what's going in and coming out and how you are healing and cleaning your incisions and all that jazz. It gets to be old hand pretty soon so don't fret.

Your getting banded!!! Wooohooooo!!! Congratulations!!!

Kathy thank you so much for those words....made me immediately feel better! I so know what you mean, I'm so ready for the day to be here. I woke up this morning and thought a week from today it'll be done and I'll be on the road to a new and better me! Thanks again all of y'all are so sweet on here and for that I am so grateful!

Hi Becky,

It is normal to be nervous, I was mental. It was a breeze. I am home, and sipping lots of water. I sometimes add a tad of apple juice with the water, thats what I had in the hospital.

I was banded on Thursday morning, and was back home Thursday by 5:30 pm. I am looking forward to being able to shower on Sunday.

I used liquid Tylenol when I can home, just once, and haven't had pain meds since.

You will be fine, and we are here if you have any farther questions.

Congrats on being banded.....

HUGGS....Jorjet

Becky-

You will be in my prayers, it will be over with before you know it. I was banded on 4/13/05 and went home the same day. You will be a little sore and maybe a little gassy but just move around as much as possible and it will help. I also found sleeping in our recliner for the first couple of days to be alittle more comfortable. Good Luck and let us know how you are doing, this site is awsome, it will help you get through the liquid stages and beyond. Take Care!!!!

Teresa

Hi all. I was also banded on Thurs. Water doesn't bother me at all so far. I had cream of wheat for breakfast and just finished a root beer popsicle. Yum! I'm alittle sore but hope to go back to work on Mon. Good luck to all of you!

Congrats Char! Welcome to bandland! I added you to the list! thanks for the tap on the shoulder...I try to pick everyone out so we have a comprehensive list for reference, but I miss folks, sorry! Glad you are here!

question for you all...I went to the ticker website and then I got stuck on how to transfer it to the lapband site... what did you select to do that?

WOw.. guess I was fighting the napping and stuff this week. When my husband left for work this morning I took a pain med and laid back down... my principal (I teach) woke me up at 11 when he called with a question... wow... I haven't slept that late in heaven knows... I had restless dreams last night and during that "nap"... but must have needed it... I gotta stop fighting my body and if it wants rest give it to it... I had thought about going to school this morning for the kids signing up for next years classes day... glad I decided against it. How long did most of you stay off work? My doc. said to take two weeks.. that seemed extreme, but maybe I need to...

Still feeling weird when I take a deep breath, that bothers me... did anybody else experience that?
