  4. Crazy month for me...finally broke into the 160's. Only 29 pounds to go. I have slowed way down on weight loss, but I have not eaten healthy. My husband had 2 strokes and surgery the first week of April. He is still in a rehab hospital gaining some mobilty back. He comes home May 4th. I will be so glad to have him home, and to return to some kind of normal. A new normal for us but with God in our lives a better normal.

  6. Dr.s office called and rescheduled my 6 month check up. it is about 3 weeks earlier than I expected. I really wanted to be under 200 by then. With my weight loss slowing down, I may not make it. But on the bright side...I haven't been this light for years! It will be great to lose through the holidays for the first time EVER!!

  7. Finally dropped a pound...have been stuck for 12 days at 211. I saw 210 this morning!! Onederland is getting close!

Woot Woot! Isn't it great when you see those numbers change??? Just keep moving and eating as you should and it'll get there. I find after a stall I usually drop a few pounds over a day or two. Hope that happens with you too.

  8. FINALLY!!! I feel human again! After 2 weeks of nausea, constipation, blood pressure bottoming out, dehydration, bladder infection, potassium too low.....TODAY- I feel normal and GREAT!

  9. Great moment....I helped decorate at the church last night, and I climbed up and down on a chair to do lights. It has been a long time that my knees could handle that!!

  12. I made it fellow bypassers! Was a bit of a rough ride, be surgeon was able remove band and do bypass in one surgery. My scar tissue did make for a tougher surgery. Had on bad spell w/lack of gas passing. But seem to me the nausea is worse than pain. they kept it down at the hospital, have to deal w/it more here at home. I am free at last! Thanks for all your prayers, kind thoughts and encouragement.

  13. Nausea and constipation...finding my self eating less and less. Does this happen to anyone else? How do you overcome?

  23. Started training for the 1/2 marathon this week. 3 miles Tuesday and 3 miles tonight, then Saturday morning! I am a walker, so no speed records. Looking forward to beating my last years time with some of the excess weight gone.

Do you have a specific plan on how to work up to it, or are you winging it?

    3. jodie1961

      jodie1961

The YMCA is sponsoring it. They have a 13 week training session leading up to it. (they even had a 5 week jump start, to get people ready to go from 1 mile to 3 miles. the 13 weeks go 3Xs a week. 3 miles, 3 miles, 3 miles. then 3,3,4. then 3,3,5 eventually getting to 5,5,11. It is great fun to train with up to 500 people at a time, and so much encouragement, you can't believe it. I have re-injured my knee, and may not get to do it, but will be walking at a slower pace for less time until then.

  24. Sunday is last day of Optifast Diet, Monday clear fluids, and Tuesday is Surgery Day! Woot! Woot!
