I hate it when people post just to post.....
PJTP that it's a gorgeous morning here in my neighborhood...course my great attitude might have something to do with the fact that I visited DH at work last night (he's on midnight shift) and had my own booty call. :w00t: :tt1: :w00t: I highly recommend marriage to a spouse that isn't afraid to experiment... and that's all I'll say about that! :tt2:

March Exercise challenge
Checking in... Rowed last night for the first time in a few days - kicked my butt, but I did 4000m in my 30-minute routine. Glad I'm back at it, though my thighs let me know I had been away... Walked as usual the last few days - heading to lunch with friends today (one bypass patient, one dieting, and me - not a lot of food will be eaten LOL) and will fast-walk the distance to the restaurant. No shuttle bus for me!:mad2:

Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!
I imagine Nadya will be under serious scrutiny for quite a while. I just hope that now that the Angel network has given the possibility of the babies getting the care they need that Nadya is not out on the town partying or anything else. Yes, she will need a break periodically, but she should be devoting her strength to getting well, taking care of the babies (as much as she can) and getting out of school and getting a job so she can get OFF THE PUBLIC DOLE! If she's doing all that well with donations, how about paying BACK some of the assistance she's been given? How about PAYING for some of the Angel nurses' care? How about getting herself ready for the JOB MARKET so she can stop getting handouts?

I am with you on the cousins - though Felipe could have done his fussing with Jillian at a different time. He should not have waited until he wanted to explode to say it, and he shouldn't have had the outburst in front of everyone else. I'm also rooting for Mike - I think he has the potential to do very well. Tara just plain rocks - at times I don't like her, but she is a true competitor, and she works hard. I was also hoping they (the Black team) would all either not lose or gain after their binge night - they just went waaay overboard (even though they are all adults) and completely forgot about the contest. I think one of them even said - this is proof I'm not ready to leave the ranch yet - and never was a truer statement spoken! I felt bad for Mandi - that she worked hard but didn't lose ANYTHING. That would have crushed me too. Felipe can't blame Jillian for HIS screw-up, and I think Bob should have sent them back to work out their problems with Jillian. More drama next week, I'm willing to bet...

Boddy Bugg Users
Mornin' All! Just checking in...I LOVE my BodyBugg! I have never been able to tell when I was really burning calories and how many, but now I don't have to guess. I have been hitting the 1000 calorie deficit with regularity since I got the bugg - I don't upload my calories burned until the end of the day, and that helps me to stay strong with my eating, because there isn't much time left to burn extra calories. Unless I want to stay up all night with the rowing machine LOL So far, I think I'm doing okay - I've been avoiding the scale, since that's one of my obsessions. I'll weigh in this weekend and see how I'm doing, but I did update my ticker and I'm down 2 since I renewed my commitment. I have my session with the Bodybugg trainer tonight, so I'll report in tomorrow and let y'all know how bad I got beat up...I've been really good about logging EVERYTHING that goes in my mouth, so I'm sure I'll get a spanking about some of the stuff I've eaten. Hang in there, everybody - knowledge IS power!

30 Days~ Join me please!
Mornin' Sistas! I've been loving my rowing machine...the weather is so unpredictable lately, that inside activities have taken first place in my fight for fitness. I'm hanging tough with the 30 minutes now, and covering about 4000m. I can feel the difference in my legs - and they are getting smaller and tighter! I'm actually looking forward to the day when my thighs don't rub together so much. Or if they do, it's because of big muscles, not fat! :tt1: Stay strong, ladies - we can and we MUST do this!

Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!
That would be the RIGHT thing to do...I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for Nadya to do the RIGHT thing for anyone but herself. Wonder if the "donors" will be public record - I'm willing to bet the FOIA requests for HER tax records will be coming in flurries next year when she has to file her taxes and account for all the money! Is the IRS watching as we speak? One can only hope...and SOME of that money needs to go to the organization providing the babies with nursing care - not into more surgery, clothes, manicures or anything else for Octodummy!

PJTP... Glad to see everyone in good spirits today! For some reason, the grapes I just ate are causing me major stomach distress - not the area near the band, this is in the pit of my stomach. It's the second time fruit has caused me a problem...could it be that I'm becoming fruit-intolerant? I really hope not, because I love it. It feels rather like menstrual cramps - really bad ones - and it's not fun at all. Off to call my doc...brb

If ya give me a running start, I bet I could knock the crappy MIL inta next week...just let me get my track shoes tied... Sure - and sell tickets so when we go on the lam, no one will be able to find us! Make a list, Susan - the Divas Unleashed Numbskull Intimidation Team - D-Unit - is just about ready to go...we'll be planning our Spring road trip shortly... Beth - ya ready?

March Exercise challenge
Mornin' Warriors! Had a good, though laid-back weekend. Couple of long walks with DDog - he enjoyed the warm weather and sunshine. A little bit of yard clean-up, nothing to strenuous, but kinda fun. Clothes are getting looser, scale's not moving much, but I'm happy anyway. Hi Sue - start right where you are! A mile walk is great - keep going! You'll get stronger as you keep going...we all had to start somewhere! Hi Pam - you'll be fine - try to remember how good you felt when you were working out 5 - 6 times a week, when you get back to it, your body will also remember, and it'll feel good. Congrats for getting back to it - keep posting here for more motivation and we'll help keep you accountable. I'm enjoying the lack of snow and the relatively warm temps - gotta love the onset of Spring!

I hate it when people post just to post.....
PJTP... I had an awesome weekend - went out for a couple of walks with DDog in the sunshine. I didn't even mind that he was sniffing everything in sight and it took twice as long to cover the distance... Went to see 'Watchmen' on Sunday with DH and DD - it's nice to sit holding hands in the theatre like teenagers, sharing popcorn...I <heart> my DH! DD says we are "gross" sometimes...Ha! Feeling good - scale isn't moving much, but clothes are getting looser. My hair is growing nicely - hopefully it will match my avi soon! It's almost as long, not quite as curly, but the growing season is upon us (Spring, Summer) so I'm hopeful for lots of length by August! Tap - good luck with the jobs - hopefully one of them will be the absolute dream match for ya! Slim - stay strong, girlfriend...hold ya ground! Beth - I think we should roll out to Slim's house forthwith! SMS - plan yourself a wonderful treat with the extra $$$ Re Gray Hairs - I regularly dye the little critters into submission - they started coming in when I was in my late 30's, and I'm not ready to "look my age" whatever the heck THAT means...I'll keep dyeing them until I go home to Glory! Have a terrific week, everyone...

March Exercise challenge
Hi Heidi! You've already lost quite a bit - you're doing the right things! I can suggest a couple of things (caveat: I am not a personal trainer) - track your food intake for a bit and check to make sure you are getting enough calories - several people on the boards have found they were burning off nearly everything they ate, putting their bodies into 'starvation mode' and meaning they hold on to everything... The food tracking will also help you figure out if you're getting enough Protein - that has been mentioned on the site as a possible cause of hair loss. Are you taking a Multivitamin, and getting them in every day? You obviously know how to lose weight - you've been successful at it with the band, so keep doing the good things you've been doing, and perhaps it's just a tweak you need. Keep going, HeidiB! You CAN do this!:cool2:

March Exercise challenge
Hang in there, Luluc! You definately have the discipline, maybe it's time to take up a sport - if you haven't already? If you aren't currently doing 5 days a week, start with one more day than you are doing now. If that means going from no days to one day, then so be it. Push yourself a little farther or a little faster every day. In a couple of weeks, add another day or some additional time. You'll find some real strong folk on this thread - some of the workouts they do are phenominal! I started by just walking regularly - I have a dog that needs to go out every morning or he'll make a mess of the house...he's what gives me my baseline. Then I added a walk at lunchtime at work - weather permitting. Each week I either try to go faster or farther and note my percieved level of effort - if I'm breathing harder and sweating, I'm doing good. After that, I started rowing - my DH brought me home a rower from the gym. I started at 10 minutes, then worked up to 20, and now I'm doing 30 minutes with 40 on the horizon. To paraphrase Nike - Just Get Started! Whatever you do that is more than the day before is great...start where you are and keep going. You've done so well - now it's time to put on another level of effort and keep moving. Let me know how you're doing!

Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!
You don't see the paparazzi at her house every day? I don't see it dying down any time soon. It won't die down anytime soon because her continued video blogging and other eccentric behaviors encourage the tabloids and the paparazzi. If she conducted herself as normally as possible, they would soon find nothing to report on and leave her alone. People can shelter their children from things that can hurt them in the long run and there are a lot of famous people who do not choose to use their children to make a few bucks. (Definition of a few bucks is relative, of course.) What do they need to be sheltered from? They need to be sheltered from those who would remind them of all the eccentric and just plain dumb things their biological mother did to get them here...they don't need to try and answer the question "So WHY did your mother decide to have 8 more babies when she already had you guys?" No child needs to be faced with those kind of questions, but unfortunately their biological mother is giving the tabloids enough fodder to harass and embarass these children well into their teens - and with her track record, I don't see it stopping anytime soon. Even if she cares not one whit what people say about her, she should care about the eventual effect on the children she worked so hard to bring into the world - as ill-advised as that decision was. Because of the internet and archiving, these children will be able to find themselves on Google as soon as they know how to spell their names - if not before then. And it won't exactly be flattering coverage...She is not trying to raise money to take care of the kids - she is trying to further her own lifestyle. So far, her actions have been selfish, selfish and yet again selfish. No redeeming qualities so far that I can see - no time that she has thought of the kids BEFORE her own needs. The artificial nails are just one more layer of evidence against her - go ahead and get a manicure, get new polish, get your nails shaped, etc - just leave the acrylic nails OUT OF IT. They are a health hazard to her preemies, and she should immediately SOAK THEM OFF and then WASH HER HANDS before touching any of her children!

PJTP... My DH is on the way home from his business trip to DC and I am so glad!!!! I missed the big lug... I <heart> my DD - we were out for our morning walk with DDog, and he looked up the street to our left - the side streets in that area go up a steep hill - and then my DD called out - "Are you okay?" Apparently one of the senior citizens in the area who helps open services at the catholic church near our home had fallen on the downhill portion which leads down to the street we walk on (and to the church). She had on a dark coat, and I didn't even SEE her! My DD went halfway up the hill, helped the lady to her feet and then walked her the rest of the way to the church, helped her up the stairs to the door, and inside the church. We've seen this lady before, and always speak to her - she's really nice. Even the DDog - who normally barks at strangers - didn't make a sound as we walked a safe distance behind them. He's kinda big, so he scares some people. I was so proud of her I could bust! She did all this without being told - and with today's postings about manners and civility and the lack thereof in society, I wanted to post this wonderful story to show that all is NOT lost - some of us are still teaching our children the right things to do, and some of them are listening! Side note: DD said she was channeling her dad, my DH, who definately would have done the same thing...the ear-to-ear grin wouldn't leave my face this morning...still hasn't! Big ups to all the guys and parents out there setting the RIGHT examples!

March Exercise challenge
Afternoon Warriors! Been having a ball with my at-home rowing machine lately...I still walk every morning with DD and DDog. The rower kicked my butt the first couple of weeks, but I'm finding my stride now. I'm up from the base 20 minute workout to 30 minutes now - I add fast-paced music before and after (love my iPhone!) to keep the heart rate and calorie burn up. Started out covering barely 1000m, last night rowed 4413m in 30:17, with a 3:40 split time for 500m. I have progressed quite a bit - it made me wonder what the heck I was waiting for! And I've lost the 2 pounds I gained before my 3-week stall. I've been fighting to get rid of it and since my fill in mid-Feb, I've been logging my food and exercising more, and it is starting to pay off! Looking forward to more losses by the end of the month, and I'll be purchasing the 40 minute workout by the end of the month as well!:cursing:

Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!
Exactly MY point - accept help and stop with the constant reports and media mentions. Concentrate on the children - that should be her ONLY priority. I totally agree - stupidity at its worst!
