Thank you so much Kathy! That means a lot! Well it is 5 past 12 and I cant eat or drink anything. Here I go! I had to take two nexiums, one leviquin, my synthroid. Now I need to go bathe in this Hibiclens stuff tonight and again in the morning and then take some metoclopramide to empty my stomach is what the doc said. So, I am ready and waiting anxiously. I can't wait to be home tomorrow and letting you all know how it went. Give me good vibes! Pray for me! Thanks so much! Angie

It all depends on how I am doing. He said that I can stay if I wanted too. Because I have three little rats at home I may just do that to have one night to recooperate. We shall see. I have heard it is a good hospital too. It says its one of the 100 best hospital's in the Nation. Dr. Bauman hasnt lost a patient yet and he has been doing weight loss surgery for 5 years now. So I think that is a great track record. Thanks for the good wishes, I appreciate them. I will keep you all posted on how I am doing and when I get home. Here's to a quick recovery for all of us! Lets play it by ear for the 8th and see how I am doing. I go and see Dr. Bauman on the 6th and I will only have three children, not five. I get the two boys in mid July. So that would probably work out. But like I said I will play it by ear. Everyone is different. I did really well with my c sections so we shall see. I will keep you posted. Two more days. We are having a cook out tomorrow night for my hubby's birthday and then off to la la land and up for my big day. I am so nervous and excited at the same time. Ok. Hello Dianne, It is great to see so many Charlotte people coming out. This is awesome. We need to get something going in July. I am having my surgery on Thursday. Keep your fingers crossed! And then I will be getting two boys in July to watch so I am busy. But I would love to get this group going and meet up somewhere. We should do a mall and window shop while walking. That would be good to exercise and not go somewhere to eat. That's what we are trying to get away from right? But, good luck to you in your adventure. This is really exciting. Wow that is great Kim! You have lost that much in two weeks? I hope I do as good as you in the beginning. I am so nervous though. I know I will be fine it is just so nerve racking. Did you have to do liquids before surgery? Dr Bauman doesnt have us do liquids until after surgery. I can eat up until midnight the night before surgery. It's my husbands bday so I am happy for that. I can have my last piece of cake for a while. Yes, I would love to hook up with you at Concord Mills. I am a ways away but I love it up there and wouldnt mind the ride. I will have two extra children with me in July so maybe an evening outing or we could do lunch but I would have five kids! Let me know. Angie

Cool, I know where that is. I havent been in the Y down by Arrowood but I have heard it is a really nice one. I go to the Clover Y near me. It is very small but is really nice because you get to meet a bunch of nice girls. We all went out the other night and had a blast. It will be so neat to meet you all. I am sure you will have all those test done by then and will have your surgery date soon. I know how it feels. It seemed like forever for those tests and getting them back to Dr. Bauman. It will go by fast. It did for me. I am getting nervous. I have three days until mine. I can't wait though. Talk to you soon. Angie

Thanks for asking that Kathy! I am very happy with Bauman. I knew a lot of people that went with him and had a bunch of success. So that is why I picked him. I have never heard of the other doctor (sorry cant remember his name right now). I have my surgery with Dr. Bauman on Thursday and I can't wait to get on here and let everyone know how it went. We really do need to get together. This is great Kathy! We are getting a bunch of newbie's in here. I think this is going to be a great support system. BTW, I live in Lake Wylie, SC just 20 minutes from Charlotte. So it will be really easy for me to come and do support groups. Lets get it going. Kathy, I think you would be great with putting this together. You always seem so organized!

Thanks for the support on here. You guys are awesome. I know we will do fine, I know worry is hard to control! lol But, it just comes on us and wont let go until after the fact. I just flew on a plane for the first time and my knees were shakin' lol I did great, I am back home safe and sound. New things are always going to drive you crazy. Monday is coming tomorrow!!! I am so excited for you! I can't wait to hear how you are doing.

Welcome aboard. I am also having Surgery this week, on Thursday. I am too having the same feelings you are. I will keep you in my prayers on Monday. You will do fine I know you will. Everything will be smooth sailing afterward and you will start feeling wonderful about yourself when you see your weight going down. Thats how I am looking at it. I have three beautiful little girls at home and I am afraid I am going to leave them. I know I am in good hands but that is in the back of my mind. I would hate to leave them and my husband behind at such a young age, but I need to do something about this weight or it will come eventually.
