  1. Where do cut and paste it? I know how to do it I just don't know where to paste it. Is it on the signature page?
  2. I was banded on 11/14 and I have this air trapped in my diaphragm. I have a lot of soreness to be expected inside my stomach under my incisions, but I can deal with that. It's this air that keeps moving up and it feels like my ribs are breaking. Any suggestions on how to get this up. They nurse tells me I have to burp but not to push it up. What the hell does that mean???!!!??? I would love some help. :help:
  3. I am so tempted to call and see the status of my surgery. I just want to call GHI and say "hi, I just wanted to let you know my life is in your hands. How's it goin?" Has anyone ever called and asked the status on your own?
  4. Susan, the way it was explained to me was like this: If you have two frozen chicken cutlets and you try to pry them apart you are going to damage the one that you are trying to pry (liver). If you lose the % of weight it's as if you have more than half way defrosted the one that was on top and it pry's up easier from the bottom (the stomach).
  5. Hi Debbie, Is Optifast a protien shake. I am also waiting for my insurance approval and have to lose 13 pounds. If my insurance approves me then I will have surgery on November 14 (fingers crossed). I am on: Protein shake for Breakfast, fruit for snack, Protein Shake for lunch and chicken or fish for dinner with veggies and salad. I'm hungry but it seems to be working. I am just really afraid of what will happen to me if I am denied for some reason. My BMI is 39 and I have moderate sleep apnea with asthma with painful joint pain in my hips and legs. I guess I should know in a couple of days. Anyway, a really good protein shake is the EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control. The strawberry taste like strawberry milk and the chocolate taste like Yahoo.
  6. I go for my orientation on August 30 and am so excited. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the diet would be after surgery? Also, I was talking to a friend of mine that said she had Gastric Bypass and she heard that after Lapband you have to chew your food to the point of mush otherwise it wouldn't go down. Is that true? Is there anyone that was debating between Gastric and Lapband and why did you choose Lapband?
  7. That's great. Thanks for the input. I am not much of a water drinker so it helps.
  8. I was wondering if Crystal Light was okay to drink for pre and post liquid.
  9. Anyone with experience with GHI HMO? I was curious if they covered fills and, if so, how long?
  10. My BMI is about 36. I am in the process of changing my insurance to GHI HMO and getting started with Dr. Kwon. Sleep Apnea, Pulminary disorder, asthma and weight too much for my joints. Can anyone relate and have you been approved?
